Orai: ..... *Staring out with blank eyes*

Kavrin: *walks into the clearing*

Ayla: *follows her dad into the clearing, peering around, and tilts her head at Orai*

Orai: *Feels someone's gaze upon him* ... *Slowly turns his head to stare at Ayla*

Ayla: *blinks at having been noticed, but wanders over anyway* What's that? *points at his halo*

Orai: *Tilts his head back, as if trying to see the halo* ...A halo

Ayla: Oh. *tilts her head* It looks neat. *wonders how it stays up floating in the air*

Orai: *Looks over the kit, as if now just noticing her appearance* Thank you little miss

Ayla: *grins a bit at being called miss* My name's Ayla. What's yours?

Orai: I am.... *Searches through the fog that covers his memory* Orai

Ayla: *tilts her head at the pause* Orai, huh? Nice to meet you. *eyes the wings* Can you fly?

Orai: No... *Shakes his head* Not now

Ayla: *looks them over, wondering* Did they get hurt?

Orai: *Slowly shakes his head* I do not remember how

Ayla: *blinks* Oh. *smiles* You should try to learn how again. If you learned once you can learn again.

Orai: I will learn, once I find who I seek

Ayla: Who're you looking for? *wonders if she's seen him/her*

Orai: A contractor

Ayla: What's a contractor? *tilts her head*

Orai: Someone who will let me reclaim myself

Ayla: Oooh...are they hard to find?

Orai: *Smiles slightly* These days, yes

Ayla: That's a shame. *ponders* How can you tell if someone is a contractor?

Orai: I can not know until the time is right, then, I will sense it

Ayla: Ahh. *nods* That makes sense.

Orai: *Murmurs* Does it? *Shifts and looks as if this simple conversation has worn him out*

Ayla: *shrugs* I think it does. *tilts her head* You look like you need a nap.

Orai: Do I? *Looks down at his paws* I can not rest yet

Ayla: Because you're looking for a contractor?

Orai: *Nods and once again smiles a little* That is correct little miss

Ayla: *nods, figuring that he looks tired from constantly looking for a contractor* I hope you find one soon

Orai: Thank you little miss *Bows his head slightly*

Ayla: *smiles, then recalls a prior comment he made* So you came from somewhere, right? What was it like?

Orai: I.... I can not remember

Ayla: Ooh, kinda like flying? *wonders if he'll remember that too when he finds a contractor*

Orai: *Slowly nods* Yes, like flying

Ayla: There are a lot of namrah here that came from someplace else. Most of them are Pokémir. *wonders if he knows what a Pokémir is*

Orai: Pokemir? *Searches his mind but doesn't come up with anything. Perhaps it was another thing lost in his memory?* I do not recall a creature by that name little miss

Ayla: Pokémir are namrah who used to be Pokémon. Pokémon are creatures from another world who have really strong powers, like breathing fire, squirting water, creating small earthquakes and whirlpools. Though here they don't really use those powers as much. No real need to.

Orai: Such powers sound familiar... but not the creatures *Shakes his head and looks slightly frustrated at himself*

Ayla: *tilts her head* It's okay not to know something. Nobody know everything. *points over at Kavrin* That's my dad. He's a Houndoom.

Kavrin: *smiles and waves*

Orai: *Looks to Kavrin, his eyes widening a fraction at the sight of the horns. Murmurs* Demon?

Ayla: *tilts her head* What's a demon?

Orai: An evil being... *Shakes his head, this girl's dad couldn't be a demon*

Ayla: Oh. *shakes her head* Dad's really nice. He might look like a demon, but he's not.

Orai: That... that is good *Nods* It would be bad for a demon to be raising little miss

Ayla: *tilts her head* If somebody was raised by a demon would they become a demon too?

Orai: *Shakes his head* It would be unsafe though

Ayla: *nods, that much being evident from the start* Yep.

Orai: *Looks away his mind starts to dull yet again*

Ayla: *still thinks he needs a nap, but not going to say so, and isn't really sure what to talk about* ... *peers up at the sky while thinking of anything interesting she'd want to ask him*

Orai: *Eyelids droop halfway* The night is getting long...

Ayla: Yeah, the moon's already over there. *points at it* So it's pretty late. *wonders how he'll rest without being able to rest*

Orai: *Looks to the moon* It is time for me to then

Ayla: *nods and waves* Goodbye.

Ayla: *wanders out into the clearing with her father, and looks around* Hey, him again. *wanders over*

Orai: *Flicks an ear at the familiar voice, his gaze sliding over to Ayla* Hello little miss...

Ayla: *sits down* Watching the sunset?

Orai: *Looks back to the sky* No

Ayla: Oh. *looks at the sunset, wincing her eyes from the brightness, soon shutting them and shaking her head a bit* They're really bright.

Orai: *A ghost of a smile passes over his lips* You are not supposed to look into the sun little miss

Ayla: *smiles, laughing a little* Not even if you're usually up during the bright day?

Orai: Not even then *Lifts a paw to settle it over her eyes, as if shielding them* The bright line can ruin your vision

Ayla: So I wouldn't be able to see anymore? o.o That'd be awful...I like seeing things.

Orai: *Lets out a short chuckle, though it sounds dry and rough. It quickly dies though as the simple action feels draining* Most do little miss

Ayla: Most? *ponders, and comments innocently* I wonder what the few who don't saw that made them not want to see anymore. >>

Orai: Some... simply do not appreciate what they have

Ayla: Oh...they take it for granted?

Orai: *Nods* They wish for the heightened senses of the blind, not realizing how sad a world without color can be

Ayla: Couldn't they get that with a blindfold? *tilts her head* I don't think I could take away something to get something else. I'd either want what I have or both.

Orai: Some are foolish enough to think that they will not miss it.

Ayla: *thinks* There's a saying, isn't there? Something about birds?

Orai: *Tilts his head slightly. Murmurs* Birds?

Ayla: Yeah! *thinks* Um....a bird in hand is worth...two in a...tree? *shakes her head* No, I think it's bush. A bird in hand is worth two in a bush.

Orai: Where did you hear that phrase?

Ayla: From my brother Jericho. 3nodding I forget what we were talking about though.

Orai: ...Birds maybe? *Hasn't the faintest idea in his fog covered mind*

Ayla: *laughs* I think we were actually.

Orai: *Smiles slightly* Do you enjoy being part of a family? *Shifts so that he can fully lay on the ground, his head resting on his front paws*

Ayla: *smiles and nods* It's nice. I know I can count on them.

Orai: Trust... how nice *Flicks an ear as the word conjures odd feelings within himself*

Ayla: *nods in agreement, and tilts her head, sort of realizing that she doesn't know if he has someone to trust*

Orai: *His wings fold against his back as his eyes slip closed, making him look as if he's sleeping*The sun is always too hot during these days

Ayla: Summer? Yeah, it is getting warmer.

Orai: Do you like summer?

Ayla: It's a little warm, but I don't really mind. 3nodding

Orai: *Without thinking he murmurs* I don't like the heat

Ayla: So you like Fall and Winter?

Orai: *Goes silent for the longest time as he tries to fight his way through the fog in his mind* I... I don't know

Ayla: *tilts her head* Well, after Summer is Fall. So if you still don't know you'll be able to tell then, right?

Orai: *Frowns as he tries to think, but still comes up blank* Maybe...

Ayla: Guess you'll see if you do then. *wonders if it's one of those things he needs a contractor for*

Orai: If I am still here

Ayla: Still here? *tilts her head* Are you going somewhere?

Orai: I don't know, I may. I go wherever I am pulled. *Inhales the scent of the wind and the grass, finding it comforting*

Ayla: *wonders if that's how he got here in the first place, ponders the idea* I'd like seeing new places...but I'd rather go there of my own will.

Orai: That is a liberty you possess little miss, to go where you wish.

Ayla: *laughs a little* Well, I don't have it yet. I have to listen to my parents. *thinks* What's it like to be "pulled"? Do you remember?

Orai: *Opens his mouth, and then closes it as he ponders how to phrase* I am in one place, and then feel the need to be in another

Ayla: And if it's in another world? You just kinda get pulled into it?

Orai: I... do not recall

Ayla: *nods* I think it'd feel weird. Kinda like walking through a wall of something thicker than water. *means jello but doesn't know what that is*

Orai: A wall of water? *Blinks, as he finds the statement odd.* I imagine that would be an odd sensation

Ayla: *nods* Yeah. xD But that's what I think it'd feel like.

Orai: Have you walked through a wall of water before little miss?

Ayla: *shakes her head* I went swimming before, but I haven't walked through a wall of water.

Orai: The two would probably feel very different

Ayla: *nods* Probably. And something a little thicker than water would definitely feel different.

Orai: Like dough?

Ayla: Dough?

Orai: Yes *Isn't quite sure where he got the word from, but feels that it has something to do with food*

Ayla: What's dough like?

Orai: I.... *Frowns, and then sighs in resignation* Can not remember

Ayla: Well....I guess being pulled into another world would feel like walking through dough.

Orai; *Flicks an ear and wonders if Ayla is trying to make him feel a bit better about his slip up* Perhaps little miss....

Ayla: That's something I don't think I'll get to experience. I've heard of namrah coming here, haven't heard of any leaving though.

Orai: There's always an exit, it's just hard to find in some places

Ayla: Always an exit, huh? *wonders if she'll find one*

Orai: Yes. If you can enter, you can exit *Nods*

Ayla: I wonder where the entrance is if none of the namrah who come here remember it.

Orai: Some may remember, but just don't tell.

Ayla: Ah...okay. *wonders why they wouldn't tell*

Orai: Does this disturb you little miss?

Ayla: *shakes her head* It doesn't. It just makes me curious.

Orai: It may be for your own safety

Ayla: *thinks for a moment* Maybe their world is more dangerous than this island?

Orai: World... *Frowns* That is incorrect. It does not sound right *Mauls it over* Worlds sounds better

Ayla: Oh, right. Because they don't all come from the same place.

Orai: Correct *Looks uncertain* I believe

Ayla: *shakes her head* No, it's right. I know it.

Orai: You know? *Tilts his head slightly while inspecting Ayla closely*

Ayla *nods* Uh huh. It just sounds right to me.

Orai: Right... I am glad I am not the only one who thinks so then little miss

Ayla: You'd be surprised. I think a lot of namrah'd agree with you if you said there was more than one world. *just guessing since she knows her parents would agree*

Orai: I would not know *Looks in the direction of the clearing* I do not speak with others often

Ayla: *laughs, feeling a little special* Guess I'm one of the few then.
Orai: One of two little miss, I have only ever spoken with one female.

Ayla: Huh, that's not a lot. Though I really haven't spoke to a lot of namrah outside of the family. *can't recall how many, remembering Koit and Orai*

Orai: Family... a nice thing to have *Lowers his head to the ground and closes his eyes*

Ayla: *nods* Mhm. *can tell he's tired, and feels like she shouldn't keep him from resting his eyes at least* I'm gonna go play now. Night. =) *looks around and goes off to explore the area nearby*

Orai: *Murmurs* Good night little miss *Slips off into slumber*
