Vengeance paced restlessly along the tree line. He was out doing his usual heard duties, but only as something to keep him occupied. The gray stallion would have preffered to stay by his mate's side, but she had denied his wish, telling him that his duties were more important right now. "More important my a**" He grumbled to himself. The two had been brought back to the herd by Thanos about a year ago. Since then Imbri's stomach had started to grow over the months, until it had become quite obvious that she was indeed pregnant. Neither Imbri nor Vengeance knew when the foals were coming, but both became more and more restless every day. Finally, the stallion couldn't take it anymore and headed back to the clearing where he knew Imbrium would be.

Imbrium was walking around her little area quite restlessly when Vengeance arrived. She was in pain now, and knew the foals would be coming soon. She only hoped that Vengeance arrived before they did. The thought that by the end of the day, Imbrium would be mother, both terrified and excited her. She hadn't had any foals before, nor had she ever even had any experience with them. Perhaps she could get some pointers from Regret? Then again that mare harldy seemed to have any life in her. Imbrium took a few bites of the lush grass that lay beneath her feet and tried to take her mind off the pain. What would the foals look like? Would they be gray like their father? Or would they look more like her? Thousands of these thoughts raced through her mind as she continued to eat.

Vengeance arrived back at the clearing to find Imbrium laying down. Immediately he began to panic. Had she been hurt? Did something happen to her? Were the foals going to be okay? With his mind in a state of chaos and distress, the stallion galloped over to his mare and began to urgently nudge her head. Perhaps she had simply fallen asleep?
The stallion calmed slightly when he watched the mare raise her head. Well, at least she was alive. "Are you hurt?" He asked her, concern and worry thick in his voice.
Vengeance tried to calm down, but with his foals on the way, it was a hard thing to do.

The black mare sighed inwardly as she was nudged by the stallion. She understood that he was concerned, but she wished that he would calm down. The foals were on their way, and geting all worked up wasn't going to make things any easier.
"I'm fine." She told the stallion. "I'm just experiencing labor pains, it's normal when the foals are coming."
Imbrium layed back again, trying to relax as much as she could. The pain that rippled through her body appeared to come in waves. They were also starting to come increasingly faster then they had been earlier.

Vengeance stood frozen in place for a few moments. Were his foals finally on the way then? Would today be the day he became a father?
The stallion frantically tried to think of what he could do for Imbrium. How could he make her more comfortable? Did she need anything specific for this? Was there anything that he needed, or could do?
Vengeance sighed in frustration. Why hadn't they gone over this before? He couldn't believe he had allowed himself to forget such important details up until now. He was the Beta of the herd, he was always supposed to be calm and collected in the worst situations.

Just by looking at Vengeance, Imbrium knew he was desperately trying to think of anything that he could do for her. She was quite pleased that he cared so much for her, but she was on her now. He had done what he could and the rest was up to her.
"Stop pacing." She snapped at him. "You're making me dizzy. If you want to help, then calm down and come stand beside me. There isn't anything else you can do."
Even if Imbri had more words to tell him, she didn't have anymore time. The contractions were too intense now, and she could feel the first foal getting ready to make it's way into the world. Without really thinking about it, the mare knew that she needed to push, had to push.

Immediately, upon hearing Imbri's words, Vengeance came to stand quitely beside her. She looked as if she was in so much pain, it was hard for him to look at her but he knew that what she was feeling was much worse than anything that he saw on her face.
Within a matter of minutes, Imbrium lay breathing heavily and exhausted, and beside her lay four foals. FOUR!?!? Vengeance recounted several times to be sure that he had the right number. The stallion examined the foals closer. There were three girls and only one boy. Well, it looked like they were definitely going to be a handful.

The little black filly with the white tail looked around her. The world that she had just come from had been so dark, and the sunlight hurt her eyes. Quickly she closed them again and nudged herself as close to her mother as she could get. The warm black body was familiar to her, and she relaxed against it. This new world might be strange and new to her, but she knew as long as she was near this familiar form, that she would be safe. Once she felt it was safer, the little filly opened her eyes again, this time slowly. The light was still bright, but it no longer hurt her eyes nearly as much as it had before.

Darkness, than light. This all black filly was sure she had hit rock bottom, or at least a hard surface. Her mind was stirring wildly as she tried to figure out her current place, she couldn't figure it out, but she had a couple warm bodies to huddle with. A small one, moist like herself and a larger one, she immediately recognized as a parent figure.
Her eye's opened slowly, unsure of what she might view, her blazing red eye's, much like her Fathers, peered about, conscious of her surroundings, colors galore attacked her all at once and she forced her lids shut again.
Her brain shut off a moment then she opened them again and everything came back on, imagine restarting a computer. Her head tilted, she gathered in all the dark colors, black, like her pelt was her mother and her Father, a startling bright color, blinding in comparison. She spotted more of her sized companions and deemed them related by pelt.
So much familiar in one unfamiliar place. It could frazzle a mind.

Everything had changed so quickly. One minutes he was warm, safe and calm, the next it seemed that his whole wolrd had been turned upside down. He was now cold, wet and didn't know what the heck had happened. His yellow eyes squinted as the light from this strange place poured into them. He didn't like it one bit but there seemed to be little he could do about, so he merely snorted and closed his eyes.
All around him he could hear noises he had never heard before, smells reached his nose that he had never smelt before but he didn't want to open his eyes to see exactly what those sounds and smells meant. For now he was content to lay there with his eyes closed and just smell and hear this new strange world he had found himself in.

Tandy was warm and safe. It was nice here, food came regularly and nothing bothered her beyond the occasional accidental kick from one of her siblings. Suddenly there was a rushing sensation, then a blur of colors, and finally a bright light.
With a plop, the little white filly with the gourd found herself on something hard and....crunchy? She shook her head and blinked to clear the amniotic fluid from her eyes. She was wet, cold, and her stomach hurt. That was something new and she wasn't entirely sure what to do.
Tandy struggled to her feet and stumbled around. Letting out a tiny noise close to a bleat, she tripped over her own legs and tumbled until she hit something warm. Eyes wide, she turned to stare at the mare. The wind suddenly kicked up and the scent that greeted her seemed familiar somehow. It would be okay. She was safe.

Imbrium slowly brought herself to stand upright. Her face lit up in happiness as she examined the four foals who lay around her. Carefully she walked over to the filly with the grey tail and began to nudge her up. It was important that they learn to stand as soon as possible, and then she was sure that they would be hungry.
After assuring the first filly was standing on her own, Imbri moved onto the rest of the foals, the white filly was next, and then the grey colt, and last but not least, she brought herself to the black filly.
Vengeance was pleased with his foals. Two of them matched his coat and the other two looked much like Imbri, yet each of them were different and unique in their own way. He beamed in pride as he noted their glowing eyes, and even a few scars were tossed in the mix. They might not be missing flesh and showing bones, but he was sure that his foals would be just as much a part of the Hell herd as Thanos'.
He glanced a quick look at Imbri then. The stallion remembered her feelings for the colt that Thanos had chased away, he was bound and determined that the Alpha would not chase away his foals.
The little black filly swished her tail a little as her mother began to nudge her up. She didn't particularly want to stand up just yet, but there was no refusing the persistent black mare. Inwardly sighing, the little filly shakily came to stand on all four skinny little legs. She wobbled for a few moments before she was able to stand firmly.
As she stood, her view of the world changed slightly. Everything had been so new to her and overwhelming, that she hadn't had a good opportunity to look around and examine her surroundings. The fresh spring air was cool and blew gently in her short mane, and in the distance she could hear the chirping of birds. This new world that she found herself in would be quite intriguing once she was given the chance to explore it, but for now she was hungry.

Tandy stood shakily, letting out a tiny cry of protest as her mother moved away. She was taking the warm away! Wobbling as she walked, the filly trailed after her mother
She brushed against her sister and nearly fell over. Letting out a nicker in greeting to her sibling, she determinedly kept after their mother.

The only colt looked about as his sisters got to their hooves. He could do that, just watch him. So with a mighty heave he pulled himself up. At first his legs were horribly wobbly but he kinda liked the uncertainty of it all. Would he fall or would he stay up? Time could only tell. After a few moments he found that yes he would indeed stay up, so on to the next thing - moving. He spotted the two larger ones not far away, one was moving about while the other stood still.
Not wanting to waste a minute he barged forward, it didn't matter to him that his one sister, the black one, was in his way. He just kept up a good, but wobbly pace and he aimed for the big on that looked alot like he did. When his shoulder brushed against his sister he liked that feeling so he gave her a push, and then continued onto his father. One reaching Vengeance the colt didn't stop, not because he couldn't but because it was funner to push against things. So he pushed his weight into he father and swung his head about knocking it hard into the stallions shoulder.

The little black filly with the red eyes snorted in protest at all the hustling about. Her ears pinned back, quickly becoming annoyed. What was the rush, jumping about like...like... Her eyes spotted some little thing jumping around on the ground. Like that thing. Jumping about like whatever that little thing was. Situating her legs under her she pushed upward, the world rushing upwards in a dizzying way. The surroundings swirled but she kept her ground, feet planted firmly, eyes locked on the jumpy thing she had seen before. While her siblings moved to the larger ones she slowly started to move forward, following the bug. Her tail flicked and she had the urge to step on it.
Curiosity, annoyance, anger. It was bothering her and she didn't like it so... She smushed it into the grass. Feeling proud of her work she looked back at the rest of them, tilting her head curiously. She should probably move back over to them before she was dragged back. And...She had a strange feeling in her stomach. And it told her to move towards the black one. Ears pinning back again she picked her way towards them, moving slowly not only because her legs were still a bit wobbly but also to allow her to walk with her head held high.
