Today felt like a happy day. At least for Zahran. It was just past noon, slightly breezy with clouds overhead that occasionally provided shade when they got in the sun's way. Everything, from the moment he woke up, just seemed a little more vibrant, like something special was going to happen later on. Or, you know, maybe it was just him. Currently, he was tumbling around in the temple garden, laughing and just enjoying being a cub. The grass was lush and soft, a natural cushion for the tumbling bundle of green and white fur. When he was too dizzy to keep on rolling he scooted off to the side and plopped down flat on his stomach, eyes surveying the area around him. A beetle managed to catch his attention, and with a small grin he caught the little creature and started.. talking to it.
"Beetle," he said as he held it down with a paw to keep it from flying away. "What's your favorite game?" he asked it, not really expecting a reply.
The early morning cub had jumped out of her den. Wagging her tail in the break of teh sun coming up.. Sitting in front of her den to watch it touch the sands.. and bring life to everywhere around.. "Ah.. a good morning to you to sun god!" She exclaimed and wagged her tail.. Only then after teh sun came up was when she ran past the temples. Jumping on one step and jumping over two. Where the blocks were- she jumped over EVERY OTHER one. Making it like a game to her and surely not stepping on ANY cracks. Id break a pappa's back. Laughing.. her destination was the temple. She always found cubs there hanging around. Thats where she met her friends.. but when she arrived.. she slicked in to the steps.. and the wall like a ninja. Slowly crawling up it.. then lifting her hears where the steps became a floor to the temple. The ears appearing like they were going from each side to the next. "Hmm.." She whispered. "Quiet.. to quiet." Crawling around on her stomach.. and with each step she got nearer to the floor until she popped out.

Tail up in the air and wagging to find.. no one there. She frowned. Growling a lil.. this. Was. Sad. Ears pinned back against her ears. "Thywa...Kosey.." She whispered.. and no one answered.. this.. day was suppose to be good.. slowly she edged around.. Was everyone still asleep? Except for the nannies she could hear speaking and laughing.. she didn't want to interupt so she slipped behind temples.. nooks and crannies.. Following the ruin like temples to the grasses.. and to her surprise there was a cub there. her ears went down.. he looked so happy that she sat down just to watch.. putting her chin to her paws.. Tail flipping as he gave her some smile on her face for being happy.. she above the dip where the garden layed.. looking down at him from the corner of where two temples touched.
The male rolled onto his back, picking up the beetle and staring at it's beady little eyes staring back at him. "It's too bad you can't answer, beetle," he said with a sigh. "Then I'd have someone to talk to at least." With that he let it go, consequently dropping it on his own face. With a startled yelp the cub was suddenly up on all fours, swiping at where the six-legged insect landed. The beetle, meanwhile, had already landed on the ground and scurried away."Ick.." he muttered, taking a seat. Zahran shivered slightly, the strange feeling of the bug's legs on his face somehow spreading to the rest of his body. "I...think I hate bugs now." Salmon eyes examined the surrounding area again, still searching for a playmate - still no one. With a sigh he rolled onto his back this time, staring at the ceiling and wondering where his siblings were at that moment.
As he stared upward though, from the corner of his eyes he caught sight of another cub just...looking at him. Zahran tilted his head a little to get a better view of the spectator, wondering why she was up there instead of down here. "HEY!" he called. "It's kinda creepy you know, being watched. What're you doing?"
She giggled lightly until she was spotted and quickly put all her body to the ground. Slicking back so she wasnt seen .. but right .. after a few moments.. She slicked forward and looked down.. Tilting her head.. Then a smile brewed off her maw. "Because your funny." Her tail wagging as she slowly stood and ears went up. Looking to how to get down to where he was.. was there steps downward? Looking around.. what was she doing? "I was watching your funny." As she disappeared in to the temple floor.. Looking for steps to get down to where the cub was.
"My.. funny?" the cub asked himself quietly, a single brow raised. He tried to keep his eyes on the other cub, wondering what it was that she was trying to do now. She was already gone by the time he looked back though, so with a shrug he turned his eyes back to the ceiling. "Am not funny," he huffed. "I was having fun, is that wrong?" Thinking on it, it probably did look a little weird from an onlooker's point of view. A cub rolling around laughing on his own.. after a minute or so of thinking it over he nodded and granted the statement just a bit of validity. "Probably looked funny, I can see that now."
Zahran's eyes traced the cracks in the ceiling, or at least the big ones he could see from where he lay. They made interesting patterns to him, and sometimes he'd make a game out of it. Usually he did this whenever he was alone, or whenever he wanted to thinking about something. At this point in time, he was thinking about what to do the rest of the day. He couldn't lie around doing nothing until sundown after all. "First things first, find out where that cub disappeared to. Then I could probably go look for someone to play with..."
Search and exacute the mission to find the cub and how to get down there.. but she found out quickly that it wasn't around anywhere. It had to be from within the temple and that was just no fun at all. Her body shaking it off.. as her tail wagged about. "Look out belllloooo!!" As she ran and took off as fast as a speeding bullet. Then out of a crack where the gap was to the gardens she threw herself off and roll landed... tumbling down as her body looked like a bowling ball and was stopped by a bush. Minor bruising would arise but only later. For now she just said an ouch or too as she began to laugh. "Wow! THAT WAS EXCITING!" She laughed.. her body like puddy.
The sight of a flying cub startled the male, his following the cub's trail in the air. He stood and made his way over to the bush she managed tumble into, brows raised and head shaking. "Exciting?" he asked, looking back to where she seemingly jumped from. "I think insane is a better word for it. Or crazy. Oh, or better yet, dangerous. You could've gotten seriously hurt." Then again, why was he so concerned? "I'm surprised you can get up, let alone laugh about it." He leaned in a little bit and examined her body for any sight of serious injury. When he didn't see anything obvious he shrugged it off. "Well I found you.. er, sort of. Why'd you jump anyway?" he asked, still the ever curious cub. If anything, what was curious was this other cub's way of thinking, not what she did. "If it were me I probably would have looked for something to slide down."
Getting up with a little bit of a wiggle.. she nipped at her leg a bit. Getting up with her tail wagging happily.. Like a ground warrior. Looking up at him. "I found you." Sticking her tongue out as she shook her body out.. leafs falling everywhere."Because i couldn't find stairs and the temples stairs on the inside would have taken too long.. And i didn't know if you could stay still for that long so.." Kinda looking everywhere.. since she was sorta disoridented.. "I couldn't find a slide." As she let herself fall and look up at him. "Wow.. that was fun... I think I may have broke something but it was fuuuun~" Chirping as she purred softly. "So.. what were you doing here anyways..?" Ears going up.. With those big soft green eyes..
He snorted, admittedly somewhat amused with the other cub. "Fun.. we all have different ideas of fun I guess." His thoughts briefly went back to his own way of having fun just a little while ago. "Yeah," he said with something of a sarcastic tone. "Breaking something is just a small price to pay for having fun I guess." Zahran shook his head, though he was smiling slightly. He was glad to have finally found another cub, especially one that apparently liked to have fun, and despite disapproving of what she just did he really couldn't keep himself from smiling. "I was playing...kind of," he answered her finally. "Had nothing else to do, so I was looking for ways to entertain myself. I'd usually study, but today seemed like a good day to just play around, so that's what I did. Still, it's a little hard to do when you're alone."
Almost amazed at him.. her head up and looking over his shoulder in a stand still position.. but she ducked her head down.. He disapproved of her? Ears went flat as she still.. following him as he walked away from her.. Hearing him quietly.. until play was involved and she sparked up. "Hey~ yea know Im another cub~" She said in a sing song way. "Maybe.. we can play.. I was looking for play anyways too!" Sparkling almost in a smile.. as she came up next to him and nudged his shoulder with her nose and then let her shoulder as well rub against his. "Lets play something then! Im always up for it!" Not knowing exactly personal space.. nor did she know anything of 'wrong'. She was .. innocent.. and played like so.. curious. And looked at him with eyes that were to fond of a friend.
Zahran looked curiously at the other cub, nodding as if on cue when she said that she was also a cub, and then again when she said she wanted to play. He shuddered a little when she rubbed up against him, not too fond of others getting too close without his permission. Particularly those of the female persuasion. Still, uncomfortable-ness aside, the cub nodded somewhat sagely as though she stated something infinitely profound, and agreed. "I guess that's all true," he answered, then stopped walking. "And you seem like someone who'd be pretty fun to play with.." He eyed the other, somewhat scrutinizing her. He'd never played with a girl before, now that he thought about it. Cooties, you see. However, since he seemed pretty much out of options, he nodded and offered her a small smile. "Mm, alright. What do you wanna play then?"
The cub propped back up and wagged her tail happily.. He was agreeing with her..A smile when he agreeed and it too made her nod. "Of course I am!" She bounded forward along the sides of the wooded plant area of the garden. How did they get such pretty flowers in teh desert? She always wanted to ask a teacher but never got the chance. "Maybe ... we can roll on the desert hills.. or search for bury treasure! Or .. or find a spring!" Sniffing around- ducking her head around and examining the area.. She was bright but it sometimes took her a while. "I think ..We first need to get outta here.. or we can play hide and seek here. I have so many games .." She turned and looked up from her sniffing around.. Almost like a dog of sort. "Tell me what do you like to play?"

The cub, now seated, lowered his head and thought about it for a minute. Since he'd never played with a girl before, he wasn't sure what games were allowed, or what games she could even play. She started her list, but it slipped into his right ear and then right out of his left. When she asked her question, he broke away from his thoughts and narrowed his eyes, brows furrowed, and tried to think.
"Um," he started, giving it some serious thought. "I like to wrestle, sometimes when I don't feel like running around I like to just sit around and pick shapes out of the clouds. Hide and seek sounds like fun, but it's better with more than just two of us, don't you think?" And he went back to thinking about what games they could play together.
Then it came to him, and he smiled playfully at her. Getting up into a standing position, he touched her lightly with his one paw, and, with a smile as he ran off, called back to her, "TAG!"

Quirky mood she leaned forward with big eyes.. Wagging her tail excitedly. See with Kosey she'd have to push him for some fun.. but with this boy. It seemed he liked playing just as much as she did!
Ebio wasn't the quickest. In thought or physicality. "Oh well I like to wrestle too! and ah!-" She stared at him for a moment. She hadn't played this game in a while. Only when she was probably still an IN DEN cubbin. With her brother. Just blank stare.. until it registered. The very slight touch of his paw... she looked down at it then saw the end of his tail brush her nose just ever so slightly in front of her as she sorta followed then was about to stumble.
She did.. but caught herself quickly. "Hey! No fair!" She called as she laughed and dodged after him excitedly.. Following him with at least a few feet between them. Dodging leafs from the garden and rustling between twigs in it. Determined. She would get him!

Olive and white dashed across the garden, laughter following in its wake as Zahran did his best to keep out of paw's reach of his newfound playmate. It'd been a while since he last played this game, but he knew that, as far as fun was concerned, tag was unmatched by any other game he knew of. That was his opinion, though, but he figured that no one else would really disagree. It was just a game, after all. Still, it was a great game!
"You've gotta be faster than that!" he called back to her, though he didn't look to see how far she was, and laughed.
Zahran would occasionally glance back to see if Ebio was getting closer - she was - and each time he would look forward and press his legs to move faster. And each time they listened, at least for a time. The cub continued to laugh as he dashed past a tree which, unfortunately for him, had a thick root a few feet past its base that was above ground. While taking a moment to glance back, still smiling, his front paw collided with the root, sending the olive and white pelted male flying through the air. He did a couple of flips and eventually landed a few feet away, tumbling a few times, which cushioned the fall. Eventually he landed with his chin on the ground and his rump where his head should have been were he standing up properly. His tail unflatteringly hung down over his face and between his eyes.
He lost his lead.

She dashed forward and jumped right over a bush. Wagging her tail before she looked about. Where in the garden had he gone.. examining in a stalking manner. But then she heard a thud and quickly a worry came over her as she dashed around the bushes and quickly came up to where the lion cub was.
Backing and falling back on her rump as she laughed. Giggling and trying to close her maw but she felt like if she didn't let it out.. she'd just BURST! "Hehehahaha~~~~ Are.. are you ok?" She giggled more and slowly came up to his head and gave him a soft nudge then a lick to his cheek. "Your funny! How'd yea do that!" Slinking down to the floor and turned nose to nose to him.. then poked his nose with hers. "Tag." She giggled. A soft one.. tender.. before she tossed her body around and dashed off. Jumping about as she found a small opening where she slipped between to throw herself in to the cool sands. Others would think the desert was harsh but it was kind too.
Wagging her tail as though she had triumphed the wildest of males. The sands between her toes.. she wiggled in to them and dug herself in to the sands.. close to a small bush. Hiding.

He felt the blood rush to his cheeks, not just because he was almost upside down, but because he could hear Ebio laughing from not too far away. He averted his gaze when she sat face to face with him, not outwardly responding to anything that she did (though he did feel like shaking her off when she licked his cheek) or said.
"Tag," she'd said with a giggle before disappearing to who knows where. He'd find her though, and get her back. Just she wait and see. With a half embarrassed, half annoyed grunt the male sat up, brows furrowed as he stared toward she'd gone. Slowly he started to walk, his pace quickening to a jog, then a full run as he started his own pursuit. The game of tag, he was slowly starting to recall, was also a very intense game. Or, at least, he made it that way.
He noted a small opening and, without hesitation, slipped through quickly. He found himself facing the sands of the desert, salmon pink eyes scouring the area and ignoring the nice, peaceful scenery. If you've seen it one, you've seen it a dozen times - at least that's how he saw it right now. He was on a mission, and he couldn't afford distractions. He started walking around slowly, having taken note of all the bushes and possible hiding places she could duck under. Zahran narrowed his eyes, concentrating. Finally, after several moments, he caught sight of a hint of pink nearby a little bush toward his left. He approached carefully, pretending to be unsure of where she was.
He was probably taking the game a little too seriously...

She slowly was sumberged in the sands near the bush. The bush offered a bit of cover to the parts she couldn't FULLY duck inside the sand in time. Her tail giving it an even sweep as if she were never there.. But in the case of falling sand.. you never knew how WELL you were hiding. She tried her best.. thats for sure. Holding her breath as she sunk in.. her eyes were deep in the bush.. and dung in a circle like fashion.
Watching.. Her tail twitching every other couple of minutes.. She watched as he slipped out.. Wanting and trying SO HARD not to giggle. He was so much fun! Her ears padded down as he got closer...
Her heart beating a million times per second with the excitement..
'Did he see me!? He couldn't have! I was way ahead of him! Stay low to the ground.. don't move....' She chanted to herself and semi believed it.. Watching with a stare.. but slit eyed to be less noticeable. Unaware that her tuff upon her head was giving her slightly away....
Breaths were taking slowly and easily in wait.. and in calmness.. but once he got close.. it was hard to stay in one place.. Especially knowing Ebio. The hyper cub as it was.. Stay.. stay.. For the first time. She convinced herself to calm soully.. with the breeze..But probably once found she'd dart out of the sands and rush out in an attempt to leave him in the dust.. BUT she had to wait for the perfect timing on it.

He knew where she was. The pink tuft on her head had already given her away, plus a bit of rustling to boot. Still, he knew she was watching so there was no point in simply going straight to where she was hiding. He had to get a jump on her somehow. Somehow.. but how? The cub took a seat suddenly, again pretending to look around to see where his playmate could have gone. He even sighed, trying to sell his feigned ignorance.
"How to get her to come out.." he mused, the grin fallen to a serious expression as he continued to make his way closer to where the other cub was hiding. He didn't go straight for her though, just to a bush nearby her.
"Here!" he exclaimed, shoving his head through and peeking at the other side of the aforementioned bush, snorting when she wasn't there. Zahran pulled his head out and shook the leaves out of his mane-to-be tuft. "Where are you!?" he yelled, eying the bush she was behind. Her pink tuft was still giving her away, and he smirked. "Come out already.. it's more fun when there's a chase, don't you think?"
Cheap, sure, but if it worked then why not? He really didn't like being on the losing end..

She slowly wiggled, and was about to break cover when he said that a chase might be better. Well- it's because he couldn't find her right. Then.. he came so close that she would HAVE to move. Quickly she wiggled free of the sands, shooting up in a bound to dodge away. "Right here!" She squealed in delight as she bucked her paws out of the sands and ran around the tree then out in to one of the temples.
Her pink tail tuff flowing and easily followed by any as it was a very bright color against the pale sandy colors that their world was made out of. Sliding across the smooth temple grounds and darting right through a pile of papers and out the other side right where the spring was.. Leaping in a single bound, the world went slow then as she propelled herself in the air. Once she hit that sand, it felt like a million bricks as she dodged rolled through. Picking up sand like a storm!
When she landed, the calling of her father bellowed from ear to ear and shook her insides.. Her ears laid flat on her head.. she had been out all day and didn't even check in! Lowering her body as she looked at the boy with foolish eyes of innocence and fear. "I-I- Gotta go now.." Looking down, then up as she called out to the boy, then reluctantly had to flee the scene as if she had never been there.. and disappeared in fear that she would get in so much trouble... her grandmother wouldn't be happy if she saw her tossing around like this.. and with a boy..
