What do you do for fun? Meaning to amuse yourself when you're bored, rather than things you actively seek out. I realized that I don't really know this about any of you, so I figure maybe you guys don't know this about each other, either. At any rate, it should be quite interesting.

Soryiu I daydream about the most beautiful woman I know, and then text her. And that's not creepy at all... o__O
Unfortunately I have not had very much free time at all in the past few months to be able to answer this question very well, but I'll give it a shot.
I go on the computer for most of my time, really. Simply because it is convenient, and I am addicted to Facebook. Aside from the computer, I call up friends and waste their time. And make bracelets. In raver slang they are referred to as Kandi. They're made with plastic neon beads, etc. and are very fun. I also skate (as always). The weather outside is becoming very enjoyable, so I intend to do some skating outside when I have the chance. We bought me a pair of aggressive skates late last year, and I may yet pluck up the courage to finally grind on something (probably the storm drain) with them. I still draw, but I need to start practicing more diligently again. Considering doing something in charcoal.
And as of today I won't be doing nearly as much studying as usual. biggrin I just finished my AP US history test.

Aarrrgh. Facebook. Everyone, with the Facebook. My mom came in my room last night to play on Farmville when I was supposed to be sleeping. neutral
I draw comics, mainly featuring stick figures, occasionally with very detailed backgrounds, because I like that dichotomy. I read (I am officially able to read a full sized novel in a few hours now). I write songs and then forget them. I've been working more on that story of mine (I'm not sure if you guys know about that, but I doubt it), and as it develops, apparently I'm creating languages and full planetery histories, which tells me either I'm George Lucas or I don't get out much. According to my seventh hour teacher, it's the latter, because I have asked her what a DVR and a blouse is, among other things. I play video games and watch Star Wars. I recently realized that my most-listened-to CDs/tapes/etc. are from the 70's and I occasionally dress accordingly. That's... about it.

Ah, Farmville. And Vampire Wars. And Mafia Wars. I don't have any of the above, but apparently they're all the rage. What's your story about?

Er, uh.
. . .
Jack! Make a FaceBook.
I hang out every single day [seeing as one of my good friends in addition to my love and I reside in the same place with the latter's amazing parents xD]. I go to the gym regularly. Iii make kandi for strangers, and be Otaku-y.
My lot of friends and I watch at least several films a week, whether in the theater or at home. We also eat out frequently, which is pleasant.
Lately I have been concentrated on my cosplay, and getting rid of possessions.

Pink, I have absolutely no idea what is meant by 'kandi' or 'Otaku,' though I will admit that I recognize the latter phrase from somewhere.
Also, I have been recieving a bit higher-than-average pressure to create a Facebook (equation below).
Nyz: Well, it's sort of odd. It starts with the protagonist's home world, Narin IV, being taken over by ice creatured called the Shade (which were in a dream of mine) at the end of a fairly short war called the Ending Game, in which the entire planetary defense was completely wiped out. All the adults were killed, and the children were allowed to survive, to be raised as servants. Actually, it starts before that, with an incident involving military psychics, space exploration and a jackass planetary ambassador, but y'know. Narin IV eventually gets shot with a beam weapon that essentially transmutes matter, turning the planet into a giant, inhospitable block of ice, then shattering it with a secondary shockwave that was more or less accidental.
This is getting way to long. The story is mainly about the character evolution of a young adult named Aidenna K'yaskai Valamarae (he's white, though. Wierd, eh?) and his quest to rectify the misdeeds of the Shade, which eventually leads him to kill himself, fight a pantheon of archaic godforms in a non-world called Story's End, on the other side of the Neverwhere, destroy the universe, and reinstate existence, in that order. Also, he fights a planet's worth of zombified angels (who weren't zombified when he first met them!), with his half-angelic interest Selena and a Mechanical woman named Thirteen. Right before Selena explodes and Aidenna kills himself. Because Lord knows, I couldn't just write a ******** happy ending. xd
I need to learn how to answer questions a little more (less?) effectively.
Equation: Let p represent the psychological pressure to which I am subjected at a given moment to get a Facebook. Let f represent the number of Facebook users I know. Let a represent the mean age of said users. Let s represent chronological proximity to an event entailing cessation of standard interpersonal communication in relation to f. Let x represent ambient societal pressure. Let d represent personal force of will.
Thus, p = (f ÷ a · ((-s ^ 2) + s)) ^ (x ^ -d).
You ever notice how difficult it is to post things that use mathematical symbology? Just to get all that typed out, really, was an ordeal. And the truly tragic thing is, absolutely no one but me is really gonna find that funny. At all.

My friend, you are so ******** cool. (: If you make a FaceBook and Message or Comment me there, it goes to my phone so that we may "text". Does that not sound lovely? And it would be far easier for me to speak with you, as FB is more broswer-friendly than Gaia.
"Otaku" means that I dig anime, manga, video games, and general nerd items, such as figurines and cosplaying.
"Kandi" are the plastic bracelets that ravers wear and trade. ^ ^
In addition to to the things I listed before, I have been going on walks much more frequently, again, and I have been shown the back entrance to a park I had been seeking out for months; it is named Shadow Cliffs, and has a good amount of trails and two lakes. They are not large, but a good size, and are right out of my backyard, so. :3
FANIME IS THIS WEEKEND! biggrin

Jack: Interesting story, and highly amusing equation.
Pink: I know the feeling. xD I am so ridiculously excited for Otakon this year because I'll finally get to see all my raver friends again. Ahhh, good times. I also find myself beginning a project for graffiti on walls in Georgetown, DC. My friend Katherine and I will be aiming to create works similar to Banksy's. ;]
Soryiu: In Japan it might, but definitions of words often get garbled in translation overseas.
Aside from all of the above, I have recently gotten a 2110 on my SAT.

I made a mistake; the first 's' in that equation isn't actually supposed to be negative. Sort of ruins it for me when something like that happens, because that throws off the value of the whole thing. neutral
How's about Star Wars? Does that fall under the jurisdiction of 'Otaku,' then? I've noticed that for some reason, there appears to be a higher concentration of swordsmen among fans of Star Wars than there is in the general public. Probably has something to do with lightsabers.
These 'Kandi' of yours. Are they the circular bracelets (meaning the band is in the form of a cylinder), or are they the flat sort of bands that people put sayings on?
I've been falling behind in my walks. This is probably because we recently moved. I now live directly behind a Barnes & Noble and an AMC. There are a bunch of other stores, too, and Wal-Mart, Guitar Center, and a mall are all within walking distance. Probably, the social nexus this inevitably generates is the reason for my reclusion.
I've... never heard of 'Fanime' either. You're so strange, Pink. So very, very strange.
And Nyz, I've never actually taken the SAT. However, as I was telling Pink, I did take an IQ test yesterday. I don't really know what the average is, nor do I know what the scale or scope of the test is, but I got a 132. I'm not entirely sure what that means. My mom says it's good, but. Again.

Yes, I suppose Star Wars can be considered Otaku. There are a lot of cosplayers, in any case.
Kandi. Not mine, but you get the picture. ;]
And I looked up the whole IQ scoring thing.
Quote: IQ Scale Over 140 - Genius or almost genius 120 - 140 - Very superior intelligence 110 - 119 - Superior intelligence 90 - 109 - Average or normal intelligence 80 - 89 - Dullness 70 - 79 - Borderline deficiency in intelligence Under 70 - Feeble-mindedness Normal Distribution of IQ Scores 50% of IQ scores fall between 90 and 110 70% of IQ scores fall between 85 and 115 95% of IQ scores fall between 70 and 130 99.5% of IQ scores fall between 60 and 140
So yes, apparently your score is very good!
As for SAT scores, apparently mine means that I am in the 97-98th percentile.

Sweet mother of god. Whose are those, might I ask? That's... overwhelming, to be honest.
Well, that's pretty cool. I actually wanted to take it thrice, in keeping with the scientific method, to get a better view of what my capabilities truly are.
I remember something about that particular grade: I'm not sure if I was in sixth grade or not, but I'm fairly sure I was. If not, maybe younger. Either way. When I was a little kid, they put me in this program called PEP, which transitioned to another program, CODE, when one reached middle school, which was apparently an accelerated program. One of the teachers gave me a matzo ball once. It was pretty good, actually. Anyway, I took a test once and they told me I got the 98th percentile. Of course, I didn't really know what that meant until they explained it, but it was pretty cool.
I think we should start a club, then...?
(I always thought 'genius' was a poor term. It always felt like a time-and-place sort of thing to me.)
