Orrin pranced along, his tiny legs having to work twice as fast to keep up with the larger mare in front of him. Though it was hard to keep a constant pace, he didn't mind the exercise. In his mind was the image of a certain mare, a beautiful and creative soul, who he was willing to work for. Of course, in this case, working meant learning--learning about all the fairytale and magical things that lived in the forest. He knew that she loved such things, and, seeing as he was also interested in stories, he had asked his friend, Liella, to teach him more. He was lucky to know such an imaginative, magic-loving mare, and especially one who was friendly enough to share her tales.
And it was for that reason that he was prancing along behind Liella in the mysterious woods on the edge of Wind-Song's tepee territory. She had promised to take him to one of her secret places, a small spring that bubbled forth amid a cluster of ferns. She claimed that this place was magical, and so he was willing to follow her, willing to learn new things and become fascinated with her stories.
Perhaps he'd be able to turn around in the future and fascinate the other mare, the one that he so dearly loved!
So he trudged along, huffing and puffing, but in an overall good mood and with a bright smile upon his face.

Liella moved along gracefully, like a deer moves along in its everlasting prancing dance. Her limbs were lithe and fairy-like, and as she walked amid the trunks of ancient trees, she almost looked as if she was gliding over the mossy ground. Her coat was light and glowed with a healthy, star-like light, creating a rather magical aura around her small body in the dimness of the trees. Her ebony mane waved and glided over her smooth neck, the small flowers bouncing amid the waves. She looked like something from a fairytale--and, truth be told, she pretty much lived in a constant state of imagination. Any who she met could always expect an enticing tale, or a cheerful song. And she was always willing to lend a hand--thus, why she was now leading along her small, green Usdia friend.
She turned and looked back at the small stallion, emitting a tiny, nymph-like giggle.
"Don't worry, Orrin. We're almost there!" Then she cocked a brow, slowing her pace a notch so that Orrin could catch up to her. "Are you alright? Would you prefer to stop and take a rest? I wouldn't mind, really." She smiled brightly, her teeth shiny white and perfectly straight, her eyes bright and lively.
