 Mani had been wandering the rogue lands for some time, off and on thinking about the rude and ignorant leopard she'd encountered awhile back. It hadn't bothered her too much that he'd been a bit controlling, but.. she just knew bad things were to come to him. That much was certain. The dark coloured cheetah walked in her usual sluggish way, but her movements also denoted her mind was laden with thoughts. Though thankfully enough, Mani didn't always think about it, and her thoughts would drift to another leopard she'd met. A much nicer one that she hoped she'd get the pleasure of meeting again.

 It was hard to maneuver being in between her pride and Linje.. then between visits with Dysi. Her soul was becoming more and more torn and tainted.. Meeting lil to no kindness to harbor her ill ways. Pretending.. and pretending.. and it was exhausting.. she wanted to go back to where she saw that wilddog.. but she knew that the mute would probably not be of any help to her now. Telling all the secrets she had wasn't something she COULDN'T do. To vow of silence.. she was now roaming between her pride and linje and herself's 'den'. Grumbling.. but holding her head high.. and walking about til she got tired and had to lay her pretty body down. But still.. she was on watch.. Being with Linje took up most of her time.. absorbing her energy.. but.. he looked so much like Dysi.. it..made her forget him just for a second.. and pretend Linje was Dysi.. just for the instant. A yawn beheld her maw.. as she lowered her head on a rock.. Absorbing the sun.. not having yet taken down any animal to eat.. that would have to be reserved for Enzi. Her.... lil guard of sorts... Having to venture to her pride then back to linje was a task within itself.. A task that Nyoka wasn't about to do so lightly. If only there were a male to seduce in to catching her some live fresh meat.

Though Mani had many thoughts on her mind, she tried with all her might to stay aware of here surroundings. Pausing momentarily, she glanced around. A new area. As per usual. Sometimes black socked cheetah wondered if there would be a time, where she wasn't always on the move. If she could just stay in one area, and that was it. Mani's head drooped a little. Not possible. Or was it? Maybe. Who knew? ..Well, a Seer would. Not that she was one or.. knew one. For all she knew, Seer's were just stories and didn't exist. And thus she was standing there, zoning out once more. An odd sight to ever be seen.

Sun bathing.. until something appeared..when she was zoned.. this female had gotten TERRIBLY close to her..and she didn't even know it. Until her scent came rushing in to her nose... the smell.. She eyed her closely... looked her up and down and soaked in the view. This female was entirely too close.. but at this rate.. this could be her territory and she wouldn't even know but .. she was a female and Nyoka wasn't to KEEN on females. They .. made her nervous.. untrustworthy lil ... Slitting her eyes more...
"Lost?" She said... as the girl was getting closer but looking away from her. Had she not noticed? Another animal could of killed her by now.. Questioning the way she moved.. But said it in a way that if you were close enough. You'd hear- and it was pretty... frank but kind at the same time. Masking whom she was~ and was playing the role of a GOOD Samaritan. A very inquisitive look on her face and yet.. a hidden strength that not all women had.. a welcoming aura to her. For now.

Mani snapped out of her thoughts, hearing an unknown voice. Her ears twitched and the cheetah glanced around 'til she ..spotted another cheetah. Huh. Interesting development this turned out to be. Maybe a new friend? .. If things went well of course.
" Ah, I suppose so. Lost from any real home.. "
Though Mani kept some attention on her new companion, she still seemed to give her surroundings her attention as well. having divided attention was an interesting quirk she'd picked up, almost like she were multitasking in a way.

"What is a home if you are not welcomed or chased away from it. Right?" She said with a smirk.. then slowly getting up and sitting down to really get a good look at the girl. She was.. a looker in some ways.. but she was entirely to blind of her own precious looks it seemed. Somehow not fully groomed but enough to look decent. All this from a glance.
"That seems lonely. Doesn't it."
Her voice alluring..saying 'trust her~trust her' but .. like a cobra.. the colors looked pretty .. its like you'd want to touch be know its dangerous. Eyes slitted a moment.. she was alone alright. No smell of anyone else around..
"Are you?....Alone I mean." Questioning and hint of it in her voice. But more.. in a worried voice. She was quite the actor and she KNEW how to work each word.. each movement in her body to be the actor she was. Her tail flicking from one side to the next. Her face ~ like a mother~ older except for she was youthful and retained only THAT about her. Youthful in looks..

Mani stretched her muscles as she stood in place, then sitting on her haunches. She'd been on the move for a long while now, so her feet hurt abit, but Mani was used to it. As was the slight aching in her joints. Perhaps the young'un had pushed herself a little too hard today, but.. something was just pushing her along and she had to oblige it.
Mani's ears swiveled back a moment, then resumed their forward position, " Yes, I.. am alone. As per usual. " The sadness in the cheetah's purple eyes turned happy, as Mani smiled and said, " But atleast, for right now; I have some company. "

Nyoka followed the female's mood.. Leaning forward as her ears went forward and looked as though they couldv'e just fallen off her head on how forward they were.. "As - always?" She chirped.. Poor thing.. Poor thing. Then Mani just STROKED Nyoka's ego.. and that's what did her in. "Oh... dear.. " Her voice was as soft as a fawn's on first walk. "What a shame it is..." Looking at the strain in the other's paws.. and the smile she gave off. What a trooper.. And Nyoka softly grinned a smile as well upon her delicate face. "You seem tired.. Why don't.... 'we' find you shade.. and if its company you need.. you may only ask and it will be given." In return for a price that was.. She would keep the female. She decided that instant. "I too.. am in some need of company.. and food. " Turning her head and looking up as the alpha female she was. "Are you- hungry as well ~ what was your name again." She chuckled softly.. "I'm sorry I have horrible memory. You'd excuse that~?" So soft and kind she acted.
Despite her grin, Mani gave a slightly grim nod. " I'm often alone. Sometimes it's nice but.. most of the time.. " The ceetah's sentence trailed off, not really needing to be said any further. Hopefully the other understood. She figured that she would, since her company seemed to be quite intelligent. A purple ear twitched, " I am sorta tired, and.. some shade would be nice. " Bearing darker colours on one's pelt wasn't all that great. It was more of a burden, but she was usually able to bare with it. ..Until she was tired of course. " It would be nice to have more time in your company, if you'd like mine. I'm always around to listen to another's problems. " Always lending an ear, letting others dump their burden onto her. That's what she enjoyed. She kept secrets well, and Mani enjoyed the happiness that the ' dumping ' brought to others. " I am a tad hungry. Ah, that's alright, I can understand that. My name is Mani. "
Basking in the ego boosts.. as she was in need of it after her time with Linje.. and the fact that her 'family': Enzi and Dysi. Her only family so far.. Then Linje had to screw it up. Changing her life that she desired in to what HE desired. Oh he stroked her ego sometimes.. but unlike him. He was too selfish.. so was she. "Then, let us find shade for you.. " Softly nudging her side as she walked justy slightly ahead of her. A tree not too far from them. A few strides.. nice time for company and talk. "Oh? Would you?" She softly giggled.. just ever so slightly. "I would not mind you company a bit more as well.." Her voice was whispy in such the topic. " Thats good. I am as well- so we should definately find some game..soon. But first let us rest under the tree.. here." Finally getting there as she let her paw up slightly- showing her where the roots were up for excellent resting place.. "Nyoka. A pleasure.." She nodded.. soft spoken as she whirled around the tree.. sitting on her haunches as she took her breath in- then out was a softness that was like nothing a cheetah would do. Flicking her tail to each side.. She usually hated females. Lying.. teasing and witches.. but this one seemed much diffrent. Unlike her adoptive mother. Her ears went back.. "We can haunt when the dawn comes.. yes? Thats where your strength lies anyhow.. isn't it.." A look at the female.
Mani walked along with Nyoka, and feeling rather nice about it. Shade and some company, this was a good day indeed. " Thank you for the shade, as well as your company. I appreciate it. " The roots of the tree were interesting, but did make for a good resting area. The roots and surrounding earth were soft and moderately cool to her paws, which felt quite nice. Mani nodded, " yeah I..kinda stick out like a sore paw during the day.. " Another negative with dark colours. It was abit more difficult to hunt, unless you switched your sleep schedule. But, she dealt with it to the best of her ability. She was born with dark colours and there was no changing it.
"Poor dear." She stated.. and softly smiled. "I don't have a problem~ When I'm around water.. really. Its easier to blend with your element and it sees you have." Nodding softly.. the pelt must weigh a heavy burden. "Your company is equally apperciating.." She said with those eyes full of pure lust for a submissive personality. "Tell me... Mani.. are you good with cubs?" She asked with utter calmness..
Mani thought for a few good moments, " I haven't been around many cubs but, I'd like to think I'm fairly good with them. Usually when I'm out and about, I'll spot a cub and keep an eye on them. Just until I know they're safe. " She had to. Mani the would feel horrible if she'd left a cub alone, and had come to harm when she coulda done something. Though, the cheetah noted that some young'uns were more than capable to fend for themselves. Which, was both admirable and.. creepy at the same time. But, everyone had their strengths.
Her tail whipped from one side to the next.. "You? A looker like you doesn't have kids to her name? That is a shame." Her voice lingering in a swirl of alluring. "I see.. cubs these days.. either make it- and have to defend themselves or die." Taking that in to account. Enzi was one that if she didn't take him in, his stupidity would have landed him as a lion's meal. "Safety ~ is priority.." Looking away from her and around teh savannah as the dawn came.. "Do you feel safe... always roaming.. and no home."
Mani's ears flung forward for a mintue before resuming a relaxed position. A looker? She wasn't used to that sort of compliment. Growing up she'd never gotten much attention, and after awhile it didn't matter. Though now, she didn't really know how to react to it. Especially if given from a male. As for cubs well.. Mani had wanted cubs for awhile, but didn't feel the need to be anxious about it. Better to be patient than rush into something. Especially on a serious responsibility as having cubs. " Safe..? ..I suppose not. Can't sleep too deeply. Or else, you get ambushed. Can't linger to long..or you get chsed away. "
Ah.. so she was wary of it as well. "Well.. you know.. I made need you then." Looking to her as the dawn was setting and she got to her paws. "I may be able to help you... a home. I have one. Its immensely big.. and safe." Nodding softly as she slowly made a few steps away from the female. "But you'd have to hold your own~ and give in return of what you recieve....." A linger of lure yet again.
Mani's ears were flung forward again. A home? Really? The cheetah got up onto her feet slowly, and stretched a little. She tilted her head to the side a little, " A home? Where? And.. what would I need to do? " Where was it that Nyoka lived? Did she really own such a large area? There were a lot of question fluttering around in Mani's head now.

"If you can take care of others.. and be as nice as you are. I think we can find a place for you in there." She laughed and darted out towards the savannah. Sinking low as the morning was slowly in to night and they would be able to freely roam and pick up food on the way. She normally didnt bring in others on the first visit, instead stalking them but she seemed nice.. and would have to prove her worth and vow herself to Nyoka before even stepping foot in making a den where the pride was. Leaping from the hills to fall on all fours and slink in the tall grass.
Mani stood there for a moment, before running off and following Nyoka. She mixed in with the coming darkness quite well, and marked that the fading sunset was indeed a beautiful one for several reasons. She'd met a friend, and perhaps.. a home now. Though it hadn't been disclosed to her, she imagined it would be a nice place. " I'm faithful to myself as I am to others. "
