There was a time before the war when Humans and Summons lived together, however, some grew fearful of their powers and in a brutal act of horror they killed the prominent King of the Dragons, Bahumut in the first battle of what came to be called the Summoner's War, without Bahumut, Odin was forced to take command and lead the summons, however they experienced heavy losses and many couldn't bear the sorrow of fighting anymore.  Odin the ReaverThat is the story told everywhere, about how that night was hailed as the end of the war, humanity had triumphed against its enemy, but at what price? Gilgamesh's words still hung heavy in the air and each day the ruling powers become increasingly afraid of his promise, so far nothing has been reported. "Why take the chance?" The General who had struck down Odin asked. The rest of the council agreed and in a single brutal campaign set out to ensure that Gilgamesh would not have his way, little did they know that they had begun the apocalypse Gilgamesh described, it started with a boy wielding a sword that glowed a familiar shade of blue with an all-too-familiar name. The Rules
1) No Godmodding, pretty bassic
2) Romance is encouraged, just don't take it too far.
3) Violence is necessary, you can't talk your way out of everything.
4) No one can have the same weapon, might not make sense now but I'll elaborate more on that soon.
5) Pm all profiles to me with the title "Blades of the Departed"
6) Read the mystery condition, don't get lazy on me now. Put a ninja picture in the PM so I know you've read this. (Yes, Naruto pictures do count.)

To Elaborate: I'll post here to explain things as they come up. About Rule #4 - In the rp there will be many different kinds of weapons, this rule is to make sure that if someone gets a weapon it is unique to them, meaning no one has to guess who did what with what weapon, and besides there are plenty to choose from, why take the same one as someone else. Weapons - Your weapons can either be regular ones or, the weapons of a summon given to you discretely by Gilgamesh. He will not give you Excalibur, Masamune, and Zantetsuken, those will be reserved for those who ask and are deemed suitable for them. Here's a list of summons to look through: HEY LOOK FREE PORN!!Gilgamesh Lives, WTF MAN?! - The reason why Gilgamesh lives is for the reasons: 1)He is a collector of weapons, making him an veritable arms dealer. 2)Story telling: He was trapped in an alternate dimension, this is how he appears in most every FF game, this makes him detached from the battles 3)No one else fits the bill, seriously, you try imagining Bahumut passing out weapons without laughing. Even though I am can take any damage I can still feel the pain. So I really try to avoid fighting whenever possible. But anyway I ran away from the lab and ran into Veronica. Bio: Kimiko always had a horrible life, no friends, no family. She was a war orphan raised by an extremely cruel bunch of villagers. She was always shuttled from one home to the next until one day her Gunblade appeared out of nowhere when she was about to be seriously hurt by some bullies. She wasted no time in defending herself. Shortly after she was charged with attempted murder and sentenced to death. The selected method of demise was to force her off a cliff. On the day of her execution she saw Jeremiah and Zenith come to her rescue after they heard of her Gunblade. During the fierce battle she was thrown off the cliff before Jeri and Zen could fight their way to her. On the way down she became aware of the other powers her weapon held, she found she had a connection to Griever. She wished she could fly and suddenly glowing white wings appeared, she was shocked but flew up just in time to avoid death. The villagers became terrified of her and begged for mercy. Kimiko decided to spare them and left with Jeri and Zen and never looked back on those who made her life miserable.

When their parents found out they called the palace on their children. Haley was forced to hide as her brother was killed in front of her by her own parents. She hid for a while then retrieved Ren's sword when everyone wasn't looking. In her grief and rage she set fire to her home and ran away. She was found on the verge of death by Zenith and she has come to accept him as a sort of surrogate father.

Bio: Zenith was once Gilgamesh's apprentice along with Alastair, however that's were the similarities between the two end. Zenith was a more forceful person who didn't share Alastair's view of the world, to him the world was corrupt, nothing was fair and it would never be. Gilgamesh saw the differences in his pupils and found they both had nothing left to learn from him so before he left them he presented the Excalibur II to Alastair and the Masamune to Zenith. Despite their differences the two became friends until Alastair began waging war on the summons. Zenith refused to join him leading the two to a duel. Zentih could see the pain inside him and was able to defeat Alastair, but refused to kill him because he was the only family he had ever had. Zenith perfected a technique opposite to the Omega Delta Sigma, which was called the Gamma Blade, not much was known about it but if Alastair and Zenith meet again the showdown just might be catastrophic.

She had escaped death, and joined the rebels since unlike the kingdom they willingly welcomed her. However due to her small appetite for blood no one had died from their wounds. But it is probably also due the the fact she often eats fruits, and sweets with tea.

It's absolutely impossible for many to understand why Serenity is helping the Rebels with her novice abilities as a White Mage, although not many seem to care all that much to begin with,

Bio: Alastair was originally trained as a summoner, however became a warrior after he could only summon one thing, Gilgamesh. During his travels he learned many things from Gilgamesh in order to survive and came into the habit of taking weapons from his enemies. Soon there was nothing left for Alastair to learn and he was left with the Excalibur II. So after the war began and Alastair was living out his life in a peaceful village with his wife Alice. One day however the summon Griever attacked, all were slaughtered and Alastair was forced to watch as Griever devoured Alice. Filled with grief and rage Alastair found himself with two new swords and a fearsome new power. He smote Griever which led to his draft into the army, soon after he had single handedly killed most of the summons, culminating in Odin's defeat.

They attacked his father and almost violated his mother if Jeri had not intervened. No one knows how it happened, some say the sword appeared others claim it was a man in a red cloak who gave the boy the blade, regardless in one fluid motion Jeremiah unleashed the sword's terrible power, instantly killing his enemies. However he had not done this in time to save his parents from death. In his grief Jeri dedicated himself to bringing down the corrupt government that had killed his parents, little does he know that there is more to this than that.

Bio: Saphyros was born in a wealthy household, once that thrived off of the assassination business. Since day one she was taught to walk soundlessly, aim a gun, and to fit in where necessary. She was raised very strictly with love as warm as ice, so she ended up with a serious and stoic personality...a large contrast to Balbaron's demeanor!

Likes: Money, Victory, Gold, Killing, Feisty Men, Power. Saphyros, however, has yet to display her favor for such things.
Dislikes: Whiney People, Losing, Spineless Wimps, Sour Flavors

Then the war began she tried to stay out of it. However she mainly favors the rebels since she felt that the kingdom is unfair, and also the fact that solders had once destroyed her crops, and stole her live stock.

In here the time period is not set in any of the Final Fantasy games or any other game for that matter. To put it simply, it is a world in which humanity declared war against the summons that helped them ever so much, now the only remaining one, Gilgamesh has declared that a generation will rise up against those who decided to kill the summons.

NPCs: These are the characters that will show up, they're mostly here for storytelling purposes and other random times. Here's a short list of NPCs in the story: 1)Gilgamesh, no one controls him unless he's giving out a weapon and even then it'll only be me. Other than that he remains in the shadows. 2)Disciple of Bahumut, he hangs around in the sunken city of Draconia, it's there that he's said to be perfecting some sort of special summoning spell. 3)The human king, anyone who has a Kingdom Sided character can control him to have him give them orders or declare rules and such, please try not to make everything contradictory or I will revoke this guy. 4)Villagers: Yes, cannon fodder for anything and everything you need, abuse and misuse them as you please 5)Generic enemies/monsters: feel free to abuse these guys as well. 6)Boss-Level enemies: These will occasionally appear as NPCs, anyone can be one but I suggest you do it in a battle not involving your person, it might get confusing for some.
