*Crystalline gets adopted, but comes with a cling on* Robert paced frantically inside a small office in the adoption agency, he was waiting to meet the small girl he had just adopted. But that was over a hour ago, and as the time ticked away his nerves got the better of him. He started for the door but it opened suddenly revealing a small child. She was looking down and muttering something as she limped in. As she turned you could see a little toddler clinging to her right leg, he looked like he had been crying.
"Crysta, no leave!" The sudden screaming forced Robert to retreat a step, and an attendant to grab the little toddler. "NO!! Crysta! no leave...no leave" The child started crying making the little girl take the toddler from the annoyed attendant to comfort him.
"Zeke... you need to stay here" She smiled, but you could see the pain in her eyes.
"No!" pouted the toddler. Sighing she put him down, and hugged him.
"Goodbye Zeke..." She turned and looked up at Robert, leaving him completely confused about what just happened.
"Hello, my name is Robert, and I will be your new guardian" But before she could answer Zeke interrupted.
"Please take me with you" He looked up with puppy eyes at Crysta, then to Robert. "Please..."
Robert couldn't bring himself to say no, and turned to the forgotten annoyed attendant.
"Miss can you bring me his adoption papers, I would like to adopt him also" The attendant looked relieved when she was excused.
When she returned she handed Robert the papers to fill out, and each child a journal. Zeke was to excited to pay attention to a little book that he dropped it, and attached himself to Crysta.
"I get to go! I get to go!" Laughing she picked him up and hugged him.
"Yes, so no more crying okay?"
"k"
Twenty minutes later they gathered their stuff up and headed out the door to their new life.
Roberts house was average size. He had a three bedrooms (one was currently being used as storage) two bathrooms, a kitchen and a dinning room. His bedroom was up stairs along with one of the bathrooms. The rest of the rooms were on the main floor.
Robert opened the front door and led them inside. Zeke was holding onto Crystallines hand as tight as he could.
"This home?" he asked looking around.
"Yes this is our home." Robbert said. "Well then how about I show you to your room? It is this way."The two children followed him.
He took them to one of the bedrooms. The room was simple, and had looked like no one had lived there for ages.
Crystalline set her things on the bed.
"Thanks um. Robbert?"
"You can call me Robby if you want to." He replied with a gentle smile. Zeke hugged him.
"Can I call you Daddy?" he asked with a huge grin.
"Um I guess you can." Robert said unsure. "Oh Crystalline I got you a present. Wait here and I will go get it." He pried Zeke off him, and left the room.
"I wonder what my present is?" Crystalline asked out loud.
"Maybe a car, or a monkey, or a rocket, or a million dollars, or a thingy thing." Zeke said trying to be helpful.
Robert came back with an ice castle, a miniature one. It was on a small tray.
"I made you this. I thought that it fit your name."
Crystallines eyes went big. The castle shimmered different colors. She gentle touched it.
"It's beautiful." Robbert smiled.
"I'm glad you like it. It won't last very long though. In about four hours it will be totally melted. Maybe during the winter we can make a giant one." Zeke pulled on one of Robert's pant legs.
"Daddy, do I get present too?" Zeke asked looking up at him with his big blue eyes.
"Well Zeke, you see I didn't make you anything because I wasn't expecting you." Zeke faced dropped.
"Oh, I see" Not wanting the child to start crying Robert continued.
"You know I might have some of my little brothers toys in storage. Let me see if I can find them."
Zeke's face lit right back up, like had never been sad in the first place.
"Really?! so I get present to."
"Yep, just wait here." With that he left the room in search of some toys.
"The castle is so pretty. I wonder how he made it." Crystalline asked as she slide a finger across it. Suddenly she started to glow along with the castle. When the glowing died the castle was gone. "What just happened?" Zeke just shrugged.
A few seconds later Robbert came back with a box filled with toys. There were action figures and cars, boats and mini planes. Zeke's favorite was a blue rocket ship with stars on it. He played with it merrily.
The two kids played with the toys for the rest of the evening. Robbert didn't notice the castle was gone and Crystalline didn't mention it. That night Crystalline laid in her bed and stared at the ceiling. Zeke was laying at the end of the bed, holding on to his rocket ship.
"Zeke, I think I'm going to like it here."
"I think so too Crysta."
Crystalline fell asleep and didn't notice when Zeke stared to glow. However she did notice when he realized his toy was gone at three o clock in the morning, because he started to cry about it.

*First Journal Entry* Hi, my name is Crystalline. I'm not use to writing in a Journal, but no ones read's this but me so it's okay.
Well Robert... I mean Robby adopted me, along with Zeke yesterday. I'm so happy to get out of there. The people were nice, but it wasn't home.
Well something strange happened to me yesterday, when Robby left the room, and I touched the ice castle he gave me I started to glow. When I stopped glowing the ice castle was gone, and I had a feeling like I was floating.
Also, it happened to Zeke to I believe, but it happened to him in the middle of the night. He started crying waking Robby and I up. He was so sad, and upset that he didn't get to sleep until Robby warmed up some milk. I guess warmed milk clams people down. Robby really looked like a father when he did that. He had such a loving expression, and was very patient.
This morning we woke up to find Robert trying to cook eggs, he's not a very good cook, but luckily it tasted alright. It was a funny morning. Over breakfast he said we were going shopping today to get new clothes, and other things we need. I can't wait! I've never been shopping before. Well I'll talk to you later Journal. Bye

*First Shopping Trip* After finishing the morning breakfast dishes they piled into the car, and drove to Walmart.
"Sorry about breakfast, I haven't cooked in awhile." He looked embarrassed. "I'll do better tomorrow."
"Tomorrow I want waffle!" Zeke said loudly with a huge smile.
"Alright, when we're out today we'll get some pancake mix." He smiled at Zeke's enthusiasm.
"Yay! I love waffle! Can we make chocolate chip waffles? Crysta loves them, right?"
Crysta looked at Zeke. "How did you know?"
Zeke smiled. "You get happy when you had them at orphanage." He explained. His attention went to Robert. "Robby, can I get book like Crysta? I want to write in one too!"
"I didn't know that" As Crysta was putting two and two together Robby replied.
"Sure we can get you one, I didn't know you liked writing in Journals" He opened the car door. "Well here we are good, old Walmart"
Zeke's eyes went big as he exited. It was like he was looking at the most amazing thing the world had ever created.
"I want to ride on cart that looks like zoom zoom car!" He yelled pointing at a little kid in a race car shopping cart. As quickly as he could he dashed into the the street and ran toward one of the carts that looked like a car.
"Be careful!" Robert ran after Zeke, leaving Crysta to follow. Crysta started laughing and chased after them.
"Hey wait up! Don't leave me!"
Zeke got into the car and started to play with the stirring wheel. He would make car noises as he did so.
"Hurry up slow pokes!"
When Robby caught up he grabbed Zeke, and hugged him.
"Don't ever run into the street without looking again" He said gently but firmly. "You could have been hurt." Then he put Zeke back into the car, and turned around to look for Crysta.
"I sorry." He said looking down. "Where is Crysta? Where is my sissy?"
When they looked back they saw Crysta slowly walking their way without paying any attention to them. When she got to them she walked right past them, and right up to a box of puppies.
Zeke's eyes went big again. He jumped out of the car and almost bolted toward the puppies, but then he stopped. He grabbed Roberts hand.
"Do not worry. I protect you. Now lets hurry!" Zeke pulled Robbert toward the puppies and Crysta. "I want puppy."
Robert smiled down at Zeke as he was dragged to the box of puppies. Crysta picked up a puppy and turned toward Zeke and Robert.
"Isn't it cute Zeke!" She handed him the puppy carefully.
Zeke looked into the dog's brown eyes and the dog stared back. The dog let out a playful bark. Zeke jumped from the surprise, but was able to keep a hold of the dog.
"Puppy cute!" He decided handing the puppy back to Crysta. He turned to face Robbert, his big eyes in cute mode. "Robby could we please get ten puppies? I promise to take care of them."
"Ten Puppies!" Robert couldn't think of what to say. "Um....Zeke, I don't think that's a very good idea."
Crystalline was laughing so hard she had to grab Zeke's shoulder for support.
"Zeke we can't have ten puppies."
"I'll think about letting you guy's have one puppy, but only after we're done shopping okay." Crystalline had stopped giggling by then.
"Zeke, let's get our shopping done as fast as we can so we can get a puppy!"
Zeke looked at the puppies longingly.
"Okay. Lets hurry then." He found a near by shopping cart, and went inside it. This one had a little beeper horn. He started to press it wildly. "Let's go! Let's go! Get move on people!"
"Alright, alright but stop honking the horn" Robert grabbed the cart, and they headed in.
"So what shall we get first?"
"Let's go clothes shopping first, then get blanket's, then then..." Crysta was going crazy with excitement.
"I want Batman shirt!" Zeke shouted as he accidentally bumped into the horn. "Sorry."
"It's okay to hit the horn once in a while."
Zeke smiled. "Can we get some toys if we good? I want a toy rocket ship so I can go to Mars! It is the fourth planet from the sun."
"Sure, if your good" He patted Zeke on the head, then turned the cart towards the clothes section.
"I'm not sure what kind of clothes you guy's like, so have at it."
He let them go exploring the racks, and racks of clothes. Crystalline went straight to the cute blouses, and started going through them. "Look at this one isn't this one so cute." She held it up to show Robert. "It would look good on you, what about you Zeke you find something you like yet? You can pick more then one outfit."
Zeke headed to the little boys shirt. They had tons of super hero clothes to choose from.
"There is a batman shirt!" He said grabbing one in his size. "Oh look a Robin shirt and an Iron Man shirt!" He pulled shirt after shirt off the shelf until he had a pile of shirts next to him on the floor. "Hey here is a superman shirt!"
Robert's eyes went big. "Is that all you like?"
Zeke looked from his pile of clothes to Robert then back to the pile of clothes.
"No... I like.... puppies... and um rocket ships." Zeke replied while twirling his foot. Then he spotted shorts with stars on them. "I like those!" He pointed at the shorts.
They were to high on the shelf for him to reach. Laughing Robby lifted Zeke up to grab the shorts.
Crysta on the other hand had put together one outfit. It contained a cute blue blouse with a stripe on it, shorts, and a long coat like thing. "One down many more to go." She skipped off happily.
"You can get 3 to 4 outfits each, alright? Unfortunately that mean's you need to narrow down the amount of shirts Zeke."
Zeke looked at his shirts. "Hm... I want Batman shirt, Robin shirt and..." He held up a Superman shirt and an Iron man shirt. "These two shirts. Is that okay Robby?"
"Yes that's alright, so what other kind of shorts or pant's do you want."
Zeke looked at the shorts. "I like these ones." He grabbed a ones with a small Batman logo on the shorts. "Crysta! Are you almost ready? I want puppy!"
"I finished before you." She stuck her tongue out at him. "Shall we go to the toy's next Zeke?"
Zeke jumped back into his car."I like toys! Lets get toys!" He sang.
"Race you there!" With that Crysta took off.
Not wanting to lose sight of her, Robby pushed Zeke at a run to catch up.
"Whee!" Zeke yelled, he would honk the horn if anyone would get in there way. "Faster Robby! Faster!"
"Crysta slow down!" Crysta slowed down, and looked back.
"Why?" As she stopped Zeke and Robert raced past her. "Ha ha beat you there Crysta!" Angry Crysta chased after them.
"No fair you cheater!"
"We won! We won! We faster than Crysta!" Zeke sang. "Can I get toy now?"
"You guy's cheated that's why you won!"
"We still won." Zeke said sticking out his tongue. He got out of the car and went to the toys. "Lookie! I see Batman toys!"
"Whatever you say, hey look at this." Crysta picked up a Jumbo water gun. "I can soak you guys with this." She started to pretend to shoot Zeke with it.
"I want one! We can have a water fight." he grabbed a little one on the shelf and started to pretend to shoot back at Crysta. When he shot he made fake gun shot sounds. "Bew, bew bew!"
"Hey be careful, you almost got me!" Crysta ducked and hid behind the cart, still shooting at Zeke.
"Hey don't forget me!" Robert grabbed a squirt gun, and hid behind Zeke. "Zeke, your my human shield, okay?"
"But I little!" Zeke cried out. Quickly he clung to Robbert's leg. "You big and strong! Protect me please."
Laughing he bent down. "Here get on my back, we'll team up against Crysta."
Overhearing them Crysta gave up. "First you cheat, now you team up on me. You guys are really no fair." Laughing Crysta put the water gun into the shopping cart. "I surrender."
Robert looked at Zeke then to Crysta. "You thinking of what I'm thinking?"
Zeke looked at Robert. "I thinking about Batman...." He answered truthfully. "What you think about?"
"Never mind, Let's get your toy and finish our shopping." He grabbed the squirt gun from Zeke, and put them, in the cart, next to Crysta's. "If we hurry we can go get a puppy."
"Can I get a rocket ship?" Zeke asked looking up at Robert with his big puppy eyes.
Robert patted him on the head. "Sure which one?"
Zeke looked around for the rocket ships. He only saw a couple different designs. There was one that matched the one he lost.
"I want this one!" He decided as he grabbed the rocket ship. He pretended to fly it to the cart and landed it inside the cart. "That the only toy I want."
"Zeke help me pick out a toy, to many choices." She smiled at Zeke. "Should I get a Skip it, a volleyball, or something totally different?"
"You should get rocket ship!" He said with a smile. Then he looked at the toys. "Skip it look fun, but don't trip and fall on head. That hurt." He rubbed his little head just thinking about it.
"Skip it, it is!" She went and grabbed a blue one, and put it in the cart. "And hopefully I don't fall on my head, thanks for the warning."
As they finished looking at all the toy's, Robert went to the Bedding section and picked out some bed spreads. Batman for Zeke, and snowflakes for Crystalline. When he came back they headed for the food department.
"Other then pancake mix what do you guy's want? And don't forget we still need to get your Journal Zeke."
"I don't forget! Can we get cookies. I like cookies. And banana, I like banana's." Zeke said, he thought of some more food he liked. "I like sandwiches, Cheese ones. And String cheese I love cheese strings!"
"Okay so we need to get cookies, banana's stuff for sandwiches, and string cheese."
"What about spaghetti, and chicken noodle soup, and Ice cream! I love Ice cream." Crysta started to drag them to the Ice cream.
"Not yet Crysta we should get the Ice cream last so it don't melt." Crysta looked back. "Alright, other stuff first."
Robert lead up, and down the aisles getting the stuff they wanted and stuff they didn't mention.
"That's it for the food, now we need to get dog food, and a collar. Also Zeke's Journal, what shall we get first?"
"I want my journal!" Zeke yelled. He ran toward the area where the journals would be at. Carefully he examined each one. He found one he liked. It was dark blue with red stars. "Found one. We can get puppy stuff now."
"Wow that was fast Zeke, I'm jealous I can't make decisions that fast" Crystalline looked at Roberts watch. "You did that in thirty seconds."
"I good at picking things out." he bragged. "What type of dog collar are we getting?"
"How about a blue one? Or a pink one? What do you think Zeke?"
"Blue? Blue can be boy or girl color." Zeke said after taking a moment to consider. "Now lets hurry hurry hurry! I want my puppy."
"Why in such a hurry Zeke, I want to stay here all day" Joked Crystalline. She slowed down moving like a turtle as she grabbed the collar.
"CRYSTA! You meanie head. I want puppy I want puppy now!" Zeke whined rather loudly.
"Alright, Alright" Laughing she put the collar next to the dog food, "Robert can we go play with puppies, while you pay for this?"
"You may, but don't go anywhere else, ok?"
"We won't." Zeke said, as he grabbed a hold of Crysta's hand. He tried to pull her to the exit, toward the puppies.
"Thanks!" Crystalline smiled at Robby, as she let Zeke drag her towards the puppies. "I can't believe we are getting a puppy!"
Once they got outside to the box of puppies Zeke looked at them. He saw the one he held earlier.
"Can I hold that one?" He asked pointing at the puppy. The husky wagged its tail at him. The owner of the puppies laughed at Zeke and handed him the puppy. The puppy licked Zeke in the face.
"I want ten puppies!" Zeke laughed.
"Zeke we can only have one." Crysta tried to grab the puppy from Zeke, "Can I see it?"
"This my puppy. Get your own." He said sticking his tongue out. Then he laughed. "Kidding. You hold him now." He handed Crysta the puppy.
"That puppy is a girl." The owner said as she petted the dogs.
"She's beautiful!" Crysta hugged it, allowing it to lick her face. "She even gives kisses! We should get this one." She handed back the puppy to Zeke, but continued to pet it.
"Yea! I love you puppy!" Zeke said hugging the puppy. "Daddy will love you too!"
"I'm sure I will," Robert said as he walked up behind them. "Is this the one you chose?"
"Yes! She is a girl puppy!" Zeke said. He held the puppy up for Robert to hold. "She is soft."
He held up the puppy, as he did the puppy peed on him. Crysta started laughing.
"I guess she marked you as her territory."
Robert put the puppy down and grabbed the towel the Puppy lady handed him.
"If you say so, thanks" He handed her back the towel.
Zeke giggled. "Maybe that is how puppies say I love you." he said. "Let's take puppy home now. Puppy will like home."
"As long as you don't say I love you that way, Excuse me we'll take this one."
"Alright sir. That sounds good to me. She will be $15. Tell your friends about my puppies. I'm trying to get rid of them and no one seems to be wanting them."
Robert handed the money, and reached down to put on it's new collar and leash. "Who want's to lead her to the car?"
"Crysta can. I held puppy longer." Zeke said. He petted the puppy.
"Thanks" She grabbed the leash, and started to walk in circles. "Hey look she follows!" Crysta started for the car, "Come on guy's"
Zeke laughed and followed behind skipping toward the car.
"We got a puppy! We got a puppy! Puppy loves Robby Yes Puppy does. He loves Robby Very Much!" Zeke sung.
"Very much" Robert mumbled as he strolled after them. When they got to the car, and put the groceries in the back, the puppy curled up in the backseat watching them, and fell asleep between them as they went home.
