 Iculo tramped through the forest, looking for a good place to stop. It was a beautiful day, but she didn't really notice it. What she wanted was a sun-warmed rock to perch on so she could think. In the past moonspan she had gone from absolute hate of the Di'Taki to acctually wanting to meet one and possibly befriending one. Of course, she knew this was forbidden, but after talking to Rhodophyta, she didn't really care.
Spotting a nice clearing, she lay down on the grass. Who needs that law, anyway? What does it matter if we want to be friends? It's not as if it'll be the end of the world.

 Pluvia was laying in the long meadow grass,feeling wonderfully cool because of the tall grass,and thinking happy,joyful thoughts.I wonder if a butterfly has a good life...Flying around everywhere,free to be wherever it wants... Her mellow thoughts were interrupted my another visitor,a female Adahy with a natural looking coat.Pluvia decided to greet the female."Hello there."Plu sat up to face the female.((Sorry for the late reply.^^; ))

Iculo almost jumped when she heard another Adahy speak. So much for 'quiet thinking' time... Oh well. She hadn't noticed the blue and green Adahy when she walked into the clearing, and it had been broad daylight. "Hello." She sat up when she saw the other do so. No reason to act lazy or aloof. She was somewhat startled again at the female's black eyes. Nonsense, she mentally chided herself, your eyes are glowing purple! "Who are you? I'm Iculo."

Plu realized she scared the female without meaning to."Oh,I am so sorry for startling you!My name is Pluvia,but you can call me Plu for short."Plu admired the female with the highly unusual eyes."Forgive me for saying so,but your eyes are very beautiful.Are they common among other Adahy?I'm afraid I led quite a solitary life before this..."

"No problem, I just didn't see you there! Nice to meet you, Plu." Iculo immediately decided she liked Pluvia, something that didn't happen often. When Plu commented about her eyes, she could help but chuckle. "I was just thinking the same thing about your eyes. And yes and no. Purple eyes aren't common, but about half of the Adahy have glowing eyes. I don't know about the Di'Taki's eyes. Black eyes though... I've never seen an Adahy with black eyes. They're beautiful."

Plu's eyes widened in surprise."My eyes are unusual?Wow...Thank you for telling me that!I never knew!So glowing eyes are common,are they?I can't wait to meet more Adahy!"Then Plu remembered something else."Umm,Iculo?Is it true that there are also intelligent creatures that go by the name of Di'Taki?If they are real,I'd love to meet one of them!"The blue Adahy quivered with excitement.

Iculo smiled at Plu's glee at finding out her eyes were unusual; but was a bit unnerved at her enthusiasim for meeting a Di'Taki. "You do realize that theres a feud between the Adahy and the Di'Taki? That Di'Taki are cursed Adahy? I agree with you, I want to meet one myself, but you need to understand that some hate Adahy and will attack on sight? Of course, I don't blame them..." Iculo found it odd to voice the same arguement she had mentally had with herself on numerious occasions.

Plu looked shaken."We CURSED them?!Oh dear!I never knew...I guess I don't know much at all,since you just told me almost everything I know about other creatures,and that's a very small amount,isn't it?."Plu was digging the earth angrily,as if she could dig out those seeds of incompetence planted firmly in her head.She stopped quickly,as she didn't want Iculo to think she was insane as well as stupid.

Iculo smiled ruefully. She hadn't thought Plu would have been so shaken. "No, we didn't curse them ourselves. They're born that way. Some say it's more of a mutation than a curse." She sighed. "But most claim they were born that way to warn us of evil to come, and thus the Di'Taki are exiled. I wish it were not so, but sadly it's the truth. I belive that hating and blaming them is folly, but the Di'Taki already hate us for banishing them." She looked at Plu, who had quickly stopped her digging. She didn't blame her; there were several logs that were now shredded piles of mulch because of Iculo's first frustated rages about the Di'Taki's exile.

Plu looked up,interested on a certain word the knowledgeable Adahy used in her most informative speech."Mutation?You mean like the canary that have green feathering,or extra small limbs I see sometimes?"So Dit'Taki are like mutated Adahy?"How intriguing!"I want to meet one even more!"Without meaning too,the last thought escaped her lips.

"Well...Yea. They have eight eyes, four ears, and more feathers." Iculo explained. How could Plu have gone so long without seeing another Adahy? The Adahy lands weren't huge, not for the population. "Just be very careful if you do. You have no idea how the Di'Taki will react. They're just like Adahy in personality, just a bit more bitter because of their exile. You can't know if the one you meet will welcome you or tear you to shreds." She didn't like bringing up the grusome possiblity that Plu might be killed, but she needed to know what might happen.

Plu laughed at the silly notion of death."So what if I die?I will at least see a real live Di'Taki."Plu lived much too long alone not to know about death.Death of birds,death of animals,death of plants,death of trees,she had seen it all.Plu decided to explain her reasoning."I think death is a natural cycle of life,and so I do not think it is something to fear,nor to look forward to.It just is.If I die,I die.It doesn't really matter in the big picture,does it?The forest will not wither,the lakes will not dry up,but maybe my body will nurture a beautiful flower,or a strong and mighty oak.I will be content with just that."The blue Adahy smiled jubilantly.

Iculo was a bit disturbed by Plu's veiw of death, even though it was simaler to her own. "But that would be a bit of a waste if you were killed just so you could see a Di'Taki. Not only that, but you would give the Adahy who hate Di'Taki a reason to spark a battle. If not a war. If you die at the claws of Di'Taki, it might as well be while trying to bring peace, right?"

Plu nodded slightly."I see what you mean.However,I will try my hardest not to get ripped to pieces when I meet a Di'Taki,as I also want to talk to one,too."She nodded again,this time to herself.Another idea struck her."Do you want to know why I never met anyone?I can tell you,if you are interested."Plu looked at the other Adahy questioningly.

"When you meet one? So your definately going? Well then, I might as well go with you, since I'm on my way there myself!" She smiled. "Yes, I would. I just have a hard time imagining you spending your life without meeting anyone. The Adahy land isn't that vast. I think it would be hard to not accidentally run into someone."
