Notice: Since people keep asking for more information, I'm afraid this is all just speculation and rumor for now. The source is more or less creditable, but whether or not such an event will or will not happen (which is honestly, highly unlikely) is still yet to be seen. GameStop is rumored to have a Celebi distribution event in May for North America. The event will be the North American version of the Japanese event, which will take place with the release of Movie 13 ( Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark?). The Celebi is said to activate an encounter with Giovanni in Tohjo Falls, just as it did for the Japanese event. So far, nothing more is known about the event at this time.

Don't start getting your hopes up too much. It is just a rumor right now, and Serebii hasn't posted anything on it yet....but still, it would be EPIC!!! If this rumor turns out to be true, I am so going to Gamestop the first Saturday on/after the release! It does beg the question though...those of us who have meticulously tried to nab every fourth Generation event (and have played one or more of the Ranger games) will likely have Secret Legends 3-8, and probably 2-3 of #6 and 2 of #7 (Darkrai and Shaymin, respectively). With the possibility of Celebi, S.L. #2, heading our way, when is the Mew event going to show up? I didn't think that Celebi's movie event would show up this early, so I was hoping Mew would show up in May (I can wait on Champ/Winner's Path). If Celebi shows up instead, will Mew show up this summer? Or will we have to wait until fall? These are the questions that now haunt me...
Another thing: I'm sure many of us are wondering that when the Shiny Cats/Beasts/whatever-you-wanna-call-'em event reaches our shores (And it will, since it unlocks something in the 5th gen games. Explanation: Serebii found out that they would unlock something in the games, but found nothing in the 4th Gen games. Thus, Black and White hold more secrets than just new pokes...And if an event Poke unlocks something, we usually end up getting it), how will we receive them? And I don't just pose the question of Wi-Fi/Gamestop/Toys 'R Us, but whether A) You nab a random Cat B) You can choose one per game or, if we're lucky C) nab all three at once. These questions have been in my mind for a while...anyone got any ideas?

Good thinking, Spirit! I didn't consider the possibility of them giving each Cat out in a different event...that would make it easier to nab all of them, especially since most people only have one copy of a game, and even if they got both, that's only 2 out of 3 (Should they not decide to hand out all three at once). That would be a good idea...

Raikou relates more to a Tiger than a leopard in my opinion due to it's stripes.

Terra The Yamabushi Raikou relates more to a Tiger than a leopard in my opinion due to it's stripes. I believe Suicune's supposed to be a cheetah or leopard. It has diamond-shaped spots, and the white marking on its muzzle can almost look like a cheetah's tear-stains. >D
Entei's a lion and Raikou's a tiger. But I guess the proper Nintendo term for them is the "Legendary Beasts," in order to keep everything up in the air.

If anything, we know they're all mammals.
On topic: I doubt the event will be in the US this early, what with the event not having been for Japan yet. Chances are May will be for Japan, and about 6 months later, we'll get it.

Indeed. I don't know where people get dogs from, seeing as they look more like the big cats than any kind of dog I know of...
That's kinda what I was thinking, Gamefreak. I was expecting the Celebi (and to the same extant, the L.B.) event to be released around the time the 13th movie reached American shores. And it is true that the movie has yet to be released in Japan.....I hope that if the Celebi event doesn't show up here, that the Mew event shows up instead (I probably said this in an earlier post). I can wait on Champ Path.

Just as a means to avoid further arguement over "cats" or "dogs", most just refer to them as "Legendary Beasts".
