The sun was shining through the wispy clouds brightly, making the raindrops and dew sparkle with color. The rains of the day before had stopped and left the world covered in crystals. Ivory's eyes swelled and his excited smile rose at the amazing sight. His yellow eyes couldn't eat up enough. His father had just left him in the clearing a moment ago, trusting Ivory to be responsible and to be able to stay out of trouble, unlike his two other brothers. And ivory was willing to obey his father's rules and stay int he clearing. With all the beauty around him, he really had no reason to leave!
He lay himself flat against the ground, careful not to squish any flower or bug, and observed a large droplet slowly making its way down a blade of grass. Ivory was absolutely content. Par tof him wondered if there were any other Soquili out enjoying this natural masterpiece as well.

Ziya had escaped from the teepee, her mother busy with the two-legger again. She grinned to herself, proud of her sneaking abilities. No matter how much her mother warned her of the dangers of going off alone Ziya did not listen, she'd only ever had fun on her small adventures away from her parents. There was always someone to meet, a friend to make and trouble to get into.
Having walked aways from the teepee she found herself at a small clearing, the bright sun filled it making the grass shimmer with the water drops that clung to it. The back of a pink figure appeared in the grass on the other side of the clearing. "Moss?!" She called out to it. "Is that you?" She couldn't believe her brother would run away from their father too. She started to trot over to the pink colt but as she got closer she started to realize this wasn't her brother at all.

Ivy's head snapped up and his body jumped up and swung around at the voice of a filly approaching. Even though she had not been speaking directly to him, or about him, it had still startled the modest pink colt. "Oh..hello," he forced out, seeing it was indeed only a filly. "Nice to meet you, are you looking for a 'Moss'? I have not seen anyone around..." he trailed off, his eyes jumping about in search of anyone. He looked back to the filly, she was also a near pink color. Natural for girls, he thought to himself. Her markings struck him and caught his interest, he wondered if they held some meaning. His mane was striped as his own and her green eyes sparkled. She seemed quite friendly and Ivory couldn't help but smile shyly.

Ziya whinnied as she approached the colt. Looking him over quickly she realized this was a stranger but that didn't seem to phase her at all. She walked right up to him. "Oh hi." She giggled to herself. "I saw your pink and black mane and I just thought you were my brother. Hope I didn't startle you." She gave him a sneaky grin. "Up close you're clearly not Moss though." She sniffed at the colt briefly trying to see if she could tell if he was a local.
"I'm Zi. What's your name?"

Ivory continued to smile. "Ivory, its nice to meet you." When she approached him gleefully and began to sniff at him, his ears twitched backward and he stiffened. His cheeks turned red and he didn't know what she was doing. "Oh..umm..." he stumbled, trying to hide his embarrassment, "You have a brother? I have two actually. Have you lost him?"
He wondered if it was the case, if she would let him tag along to help her search for this Moss.

Ziya pulls back her head after deciding he had a familiar smell of the area. She was happy to find this out as she was always looking for new playmates. "Lost?" She wiggled her ears. "Nope not lost." She rocked back and forth from hoof to hoof as talked, always having trouble being still. "Sometimes my dad goes off and Moss goes with him." Her face looked a bit sad, she always missed having her constant playmate around. "I get stuck at home with mom. I rather go out on adventures!"

Ivory was surprised at hearing that her father went off. Could it possibly be in the same way his own father left? For days on end, leaving no message of parting and when he would return. Just leaving with the wind, leaving his family behind? The thought made ivory bite his tongue in bitter anger and sadness. He wouldn't stand for another family to have its father figure missing.
"Does your dad leave for a long time? mine does too...and he worries us sick, not coming back for days, weeks sometimes!" He looked down and shared her sadness, completely convinced it was the same as the one he felt.

Ziya frowned as she saw her new companion becoming sad. "He leaves for a while, he likes to wander and have fun. I never thought about it much... I guess I like to wander too but it makes my parents mad when I do. Guess you gotta be older to wander without anyone yellin' at ya." She came forward and boldly nosed at the colt's shoulder. "Ya shouldn't be too worried bout your dad. Dad's are tough and can fight off big monsters." She nodded to this to make it clear that this was a fact.

Ivory looked up at the green eyed mare. The small hearts under her eye standing out to him now. He smiled sheepishly and had his face painting with a soft blush at the sudden contact with her. "Thanks... that actually makes me feel better..." He smiled a bit more confidentially. Maybe she was right, both of their fathers are strong, and even though his leaves, he would always come back. Right?
"So...would you like to do something?" He asked his blush intensifying suddenly.
