A human was walking around, looking around the peculiar forest. He never been to this place before... The young man stopped at a river, and knelt down. After looking at himself in the flowing water, he bent down and lapped at the cool refreshing liquid. The human was all alone there, and he wished to have some sort of company.

Loki lay stretched out and enjoying the sun as he read. The book was nothing more than another trashy dime store novel, but it was the thrill of being lost in another reality that the halfbreed enjoyed. He let out a sigh of resignation as he caught movement from the corner of his eye. He had picked this spot in the hopes of remaining undisturbed, but obviously some greater being had it out for him today. Cautiously he closed his book and watched the human. He was fairly sure that he was well camouflaged in the tall grass at the rivers edge.
But one could never be sure.

The man looked up from the cool water. Something wasn't right. He felt like he was being watched. Mycale slowly got up, his dual colored eyes scanning the surrounding area. Shrugging his shoulders, he plucked a blackberry from a nearby bush, and popped it in his mouth.
