Well by the two posts maybe three i made about how i HATE it. I finally realized why! IT'S NOT AN RPG!!!!!!
well to me anyways. Why? In an RPG you gain Experience and level up with multiple characters. In FF13 you gain points and spend them to add more HP or strength and s**t. 1-12 had levels but 13 didn't. Crystarium system info from FFwikiIn an RPG you could customize the party with Weapons, Armor, Accessories, and in some games different skills, spells and summons at the same time (best example is FF7). in 13...It is a weapon and two extra items (more slots if you get that high.). In an RPG you can explore the world and even find more powerful items as you do so (favorite side quest is again from FF7 to get Knights). FF13's closet thing to that is the Missions. Other than that it's not a lot of free roaming or extra areas accessed by doing a series of events on your own time. In an RPG you could select commands for each person and see what happens...in 13...I don't have to explain, let me push X for ya. Not only did i find the game Boring and lame. I felt like we didn't get an RPG but a Action/ Adventure one. Let me Repeat this... IT'S NOT AN RPG!!!!!!
now that was a load off my shoulders. Off to play FF6 Kthxbye.

-Sigh- I have no words for you, Parth..
Anyways. I love the game.
- There were interesting changes to the soundtrack. - Everyone in the game could be in real life. ('cept all the fal'cie and l'cie powars) - Yes, it felt like a tube, but it was one full of wonder and interesting ways to get transported instead of fighting for 4 hours to level up your people. - They had a unique way of leveling up, in my opinion. - They helped utilize roles in the battle field using Paradigms. - You CAN find new weapons and accessories, just not as in depth because you don't need new armor. >.> sssssssss- Plus, you can level up weapons and acessories. - They brought you to new worlds and different areas. - The graphics are stunning. - The missions? Badass. ^^
Need I say moar?

Well when i played it...i felt like the RPG was taken out. I can understand some people liking easy games. But it was so easy to the point i got bored. But the missions i have to agree...are badass (especialy the Tonberry one)

if I played FF for game play only, I would never have played FF games. I just love the storey. it's like watching a movie. the graphics were all great, the players were great, and the storey was awsome! the only thing I would have changed was the gameplay.

Well all should agree that the story for 13 is just as amazing as the other ones (with 12 being the lowest score). Nothing wrong with story, it's game play i hated. Which is why i forced myself to see the end.

Story is good the rest is terrible. The lack of earning Gil is a major turnoff... And the major thing that gets me is that the game has/had the biggest production team in vidoe game history... Yet they churned out a product with very linear gameplay and very little imaginantion put into it. There are only really three enviroments in the game that differ from eachother...
1: Cocoon (some very bland machanical world that looks ran down) 2: Gran Pulse (Nothing more than a Calm Lands clone, and a obvious rip off Shadow of the Colossus with the high resolution graphics and big monsters roaming around.) 3: Orphans Cradle
Not to mention the ending was a major let down.
This is a little more our less my problem then a game flaw... During battles I was tempted button mash the whole time! And did.
It's kinda like XII in a way. XII had really good gameplay, really bad story. XIII really good story just really terrible gameplay.

I loved XIII! ^_^ The only thing I disliked about it was the path was too linear. Then again when your running from PSI-Com you can't be running into towns and inns. I just missed that aspect.

The biggest thing I liked about XIII was the use of Paradigms and multiple ATBs. Paradigms take away the confusion of searching for classes that you have to master in order to get other classes (although that worked for other games) and instead gave you six basic classes, three for each character, and after awhile you can then add the remaining classes to each character if you like. As for the ATBs, I like the ability to have multiple attacks. I like how you don't need magic anymore. I like how you can chain a Curasa and two Esunas or a Ruinga and two Attacks. It's far better than waiting for the gauge to fill up and then attacking once.

I don't have the game system for the game anyways, so I have not yet played it. I wanted it like SO bad, but then I started asking people what they thought, and they said if I needed to buy the game system to play it, then it was definitely NOT worth it, which no offense to anyone, but I kind of agree.
