So, she thought she was secure in her place as Alpha, did she? Currently having no up and coming warrior to train, Kiara was stalking away from the pack's territories. Oh, she had no intention of leaving the pack. Not by a loooong shot. Just the opposite really, for the she-wolf was making plans to secure her place in the hierarchy more securely, or at least to upset that of their current' "Queen". She bared her fangs in a silent snarl as she padded along. Queen indeed.
No, Kiara refused to accept the smaller wolf as her ruler, and certainly not as her King's mate. That place should have been hers. Had she not been bound up training that red-pelted hooligan, she'd have been there to influence this choice more. But no, instead she'd been caught out and now was without the attentions of her beloved Lord. Oh no, she was not about to let such a thing remain so! It was time to find a more subtle and scheming way to get what she wanted. Outright killing Mog wasn't going to get her anywhere in Chernabog's favor, though Kiara easily could have done it. Such a weak fool he'd picked for his mate! Angrily she snapped at a dangling branch from a bush she was passing, shredding its leaves with her teeth.
She spat out the foul tasting green and kept her paws heading out of the packlands. Yes, it was time for some neferious action. She had just the strategy in mind, but it would take some time, some work. And most definitely some patience. The sooner the better though, which was why she'd left immediately after her 'discussion' with Mog. No time like the present to instill doubts in the weaker female's mind!

It was taking more time than she cared. The first male she'd met had been painted like a sunset. Not at all suitable in pinks and yellows and oranges. Another she'd run into had been mud brown. That wouldn't do. The next four were reds or blacks with inappropriate color combos. She was growing frustrated when in the distance, a shadow moved along the horizon of a grassy plain.
Her eyes narrowed, trying to catch a better glimpse, but to no avail. It remained a shadow in wolf form. Her heart began to beat faster. Perhaps this was it? Had she found the right one? Oh, only let it be male and not some hulking female!! She set off across the plain at a ground eating lope. Time to catch up to Mister Right. Hopefully.

He was a dark shadowy figure indeed, his pelt was a stark ebony with only a sprinkle of blood red across his back. His eyes were ruby jewels bright and flickering with intelligence. Carefree, footloose and untied by family, friends, or a pack. It suited him just fine to remain as such as well being the tricky b*****d he was. He liked to steal, cheat, and amuse himself at the expense of others and heaven forbid he ever got caught. He was large truly, a tall and bulky male, but he possessed no fighting prowess, only a quick sharp tongue and easy grin.
His ears flicked as he peered up curiously and tilted his head in mild concern. He could feel eyes on him, and normally he was the one spying. He crouched low eyes narrowed into dangerous looking slits. He would hightail it out of here before he met with an unpleasantry.

She slowed as she neared. Yes... yes, he could do quite nicely! Her eyes glamed in anticipation, both of the fun and of the much later plans. He ducked, showing he knew someone approached, so she slowed entirely down to a slow sashay. Time to employ those feminine wiles.
She had to admit, however privately, that it felt strange to be seducing another wolf, not her Lord and Master. Sure, there had been the one wolf early on who had strongly appealed to her, but he had left the pack soon after. For her, there always was her King. Her Alpha. No other, no sir, not for her. For one fleeting moment she had a crawling in her stomach that told her she was betraying him. But the sensation was banished by the memory of the snide and supremely satisfied look on Mog's face as she'd pronounced Kiara's lowering in rank. Oh yes, this was worth it.
So she set these thoughts aside and focused on the wolf before her. What male could resist a willing female?
"Hello handsome," she growled softly without a trace of aggression. Instead, it was a soft and suggestive sound. If she were feline, it would have been a purr, laced with myriad levels of innuendo. Her tail began its slow arc behind her, her head lowered just a little, but her eyes never left him. She ran her tongue over her lips and minced ever closer. "Where are you off to this fine day?"

He popped up and grinned once he realized it was a female, and a very pretty one at that! Haha, perhaps his luck was still with him, if he could just sashay this lovely little lady back to his den for a few nights. She seemed willing enough but he knew the verbal game had to be played first. "Ahh I had no idea it was such a lovely creature so near...I was just heading back to my cold lonely little den..." He grinned at her, obviously he had some ideas about how to cozy his den up.
In truth it wasn't even his den, just an outcropping he had found to use until he moved on, he always moved on. Schatten, a shadow with no resting place. "What's a pretty thing like you doing out here all alone, could be dangerous..." He gave her a slow wink, obviously he thought himself dangerous.

This just might turn out to be a bit easier than she feared. He certainly seemed as prone to suggestion as any male might. Inwardly she preened at how easily he was caught. But rather than capitulate, she bared her fangs in a feral smile. "Oh, this little lady can fend for herself, thank you very much," she replied sweetly. There was both promise and veiled threat there. She was not a weakling female to be dominated, oh no. She didn't want him getting any such ideas. This was her game, and she fully intended that it be played by her rules.
"That isn't tos ay that I'm adverse to a little company, however," she added in a less firm tone of voice. No sense in chasing off her quarry, now was there? "That is, if your cold, lonely little den has room for... two?" She moved up closer, tail swishing slowly back and forth hypnotically. She sidled up next to him, making her interests rather plain. She would have to play this right, to keep him for several days for her purpose. The wide range of scents clinging to his fur made her believe he probably was a drifter, and thus might not stay as long as she needed in order to be absolutely sure.

"Of course, of course, always room for a pretty lady. Come come we'll enjoy a little meal and you can tell me why your out all alone. Though you are obviously capable of defending yourself." He smirked and moved to softly brush against her to guide her away with him.
She was a pretty little thing, and already he was trying to figure out how he would manage to keep her around for a few days. He could sate more then one hunger it seemed yet the scent of a pack was on her and it piqued his curiosity. Had she tired of the social life that the pack offered, spurned by a male, running off for some unknown crime?

Winking one eye slowly, she bared her teeth in playful menace. This one was turning out appallingly easy to play. Perhaps it had been a long while since he'd had the company of a female? She kept her speculation to herself and tried to let the charm flow.
"Well now, that sounds delightful," she murmured. "A big strong male like yourself waiting on me. What girl could resist?" She slid into place beside him, allowing more to brush than was strictly necessary. She debated keeping their relationship on a no-name basis, but decided it was unrealistic. If she wanted to stick around more than the night, she'd need more to call him by than just "big boy".
"Since you are going to take such good care of me," she intoned as they travelled towards this den site of his, "I suppose I owe you at least my name." She gave him a sultry look out of the corners of her eyes, wordlessly suggesting there might be more she'd be willing to owe him. "I'm Kiara. And who might you be, big boy?" She gave a beguiling smile and swished her tail in a circle, artfully sliding along his own for several heart-racing moments.

"Ahh names, what use have we for names, call me lover, call me savior..." He chuckled then sighed. "Or call me Schatten, though it's a name I've rare cause to use. Kiara is much lovelier and sits much sweeter on the tongue." My but she was amiable, so open and trusting, and she was going to his den which was perfect.
She stroked his ego as well and his chest puffed up a bit, he would have to show off his hunting prowess for her. Still his curiosity about her lonely appearance was not yet sated. "I'm glad I can be of service, but tell me why no other male has swept you away for his own? You reside near here, or just passing along?"

She permitted a smile to herself. My, but he was a chatty one! It might make it easier for him to hold his attention for a time, at least. Perhaps employing a bit of mystery would not be untoward. "Oh, a little of both," she replied softly to his last question, completely side-stepping his first. Let him try harder, did he wish to know where her allegiances lay. He'd never know the truth, of course, but he needn't be told a lie just yet either.
"You could say I'm... passing through, for now." She shot him another sideways glance, tongue lolling out just a little. It felt good to be out again, to be playing this little game. Too little she'd done this of late with her Royal Master. He'd been busy with his Mog, and she with Khorr's training. Good thing it was done and she could now employ what tricks she could to snare him back to her.
She returned her wandering attention to the large male loping beside her. Yes, he'd do well enough. She would have rathered he had a bit more red to him, but he would suit just fine for her purpose. "And what of you, suave Schatten? Has no female caught your eye and tied you down as yet?" Her eyes spoke of laughter, her tongue lolled further, and her steps became light and prancing. How she loved to tease, to coax, to manipulate! He was clay beneath her paws already!

"Nothing could tie me down sweet thing, so retract your hooks if you have them out. I promise only my services in keeping you full and sated for a fortnight. I never stay in any place longer and I've no wish to start a bad habit now. Besides what if your passing through and some abandoned lover is following you? Could be a sticky situation..." He spoke as if from experience, but his tone was so jokingly pleasant that it was hard to be certain.
He loped over a ridge and down towards a wide opening in large stone facade. No doubt this had been the den of some creature before Schatten claimed it for himself. The opening was wide, but within the space narrowed. "Why don't you make yourself cozy and I'll fetch us dinner...the herds in this area are rather plentiful."

"Oh no, big boy," she replied smoothly with a private smile. "That suits me juuuust fine." In fact, it was exactly what she desired. No strings, no mooning male following her about, no insistent desire to keep a pup if he found out she'd conceived. In fact, that would have ruined everything. Completely. But this... this was perfection.
She gave a soft snort as his further words echoed her own concerns. "No, I have no scorned lover chasing my tail, thank you very much," she said crisply. She dipped her chin coyly and leaned to bump shoulders with him as they ran. "I'm free to concentrate on you and you alone. And likewise, I hope." Tighten the noose a little further, bind him to you for as long as was needed. Her ears and tail were upwards thrown in her good spirits.
The den left much to be desired. She'd grown used to the deeper, more comfortable caves claimed by the Reign of Terror. However, as far as wanderers went, this was everything one could ask for. So she minced her way in, sniffing intently. Yes, it had been abandoned for a while now, the scent of whatever had lived here before was faint and musty. She could smell his scent, though, quite strongly. She found the spot he had slept the night before and flopped to rub her shoulder against it. She turned her amused gaze up at him, dropping her lids in a sultry manner. "Sounds heavenly," she answered his suggestion. Would be nice to let someone else do the hunting, actually. For now, she'd take a nap. She'd need her full endurance for the next few days at least.

He was itching to hear her story but it seemed she was pretty tight lipped, probably more then himself. Still she assured him there was no scorned male following her, no danger coming to claim her and threaten him. It was good enough and her stay would be a temporary romantic interlude. Alright maybe not so romantic, but lusty certainly and of mutual benefit to them.
A grin slowly spread across his dark features, but his ruby eyes made it look less then friendly. He was only a bit smaller then Chernabog and no doubt with some imagination one might mistake them for relations, though he was none to the goblin king. "I'll show you heavenly after your meal..." With a chuckle he was off blending into the night darkness with ease.
It took him a while but sure enough he did return triumphant, there was a tiny gash in his hind leg, probably a hoof clip. He dragged half of the deer carcass towards her, what he had managed to cut away and pull to her, obviously his strength was not such that it would allow him to bring the entire kill. "Dinner is served" He huffed out as he dropped the limbs.

"Oh how delighteful," she crooned sweetly, stretching and yawning widely. She moved to the half-carcass and began to daintily eat in tiny mincing bites, instead of gulping it down as she desired to. Inwardly she was snarling at herself. What was this she was pulling? Intentional or not, this mocking of her impression of Mog was not improving her temper, and she needed the best grip on her temper that she could manage if she was to convince this pretty boy to stay with her long enough. At this point, getting him to leave was a simple matter to work out.
Grimacing once into the grisly depths of the deer, she pulled her muzzle back to tip her head at the dark male. "Won't you join me," she said soft and low, the invitation laced with double meaning. Now this was behavior more akin to what she was used to. Familiar territory, if an unfamiliar target for it. She sidled to the side, making room for him where she'd torn a hole in the hide and had begun feasting on the tender muscle. She licked her jaws and waved her tail slowly. "You aren't afraid of getting close with little ole me, are you?" The glint in her eyes was teasing, her light smirk beckoning.

He watched her eat her fangs ripping with such presicion not a damsel in distress this one. She was feirce but she was stil playing the coy female, it suited him, his ego. He grinned at her taunting invitation. "Me? Afraid of you sweet one? Never! Any male too afraid to stand by you wouldn't be worthy of your offered company anyway." He flattered her and himself.
He moved to stand beside her digging with gusto into the torn flesh his black muzzle darkening with blood. He knew, now was the moment to broach the subject now that he had sated her hunger to see if she would sate his. "We've shared a meal...let us retire...and continue sharing?"
He moved towards the den glancing over his shoulder trying to hide any hopeful or eager expressions.
