 Sayuri stepped onto the scorching sand, her pale paws tingling slightly. It was early morning and she knew it would sting more later, as the sun rose. She looked around. All there was was sand, streaching in every direction. For a moment she worried if she was making the right choice. After leaving her parents den she had decided she had wanted to see the world, or atleast more than just the mountains. She had known the sand mountains for her whole life, and she found the looming peaks comforting. They were her home, her childhood. But now she was older, and she certaintly wasn't going to spend her whole life in one spot. No, she had far to much curiousity for that. She had decided to travel to the Oasis, a short trip if she just travelled along the river. Her train of thought was cut off as she was distracted by the radiant purples and oranges painted onto the pale sky buy the rising sun. This place was so strange to her, yet beautiful in ways the mountains never were. She had been walking for days, and she knew that in a short few hours she would be at the thriving Oasis. Excitement built up inside her. She could barely wait.

 Alsoomse flew over the sand, the sun at his back. He loved flying, the air under his wings as he glided in lazy circles. He was heading back to his resting place, when he spotted a pale Shakaiyo walking alone. He clicked his beak before deciding to land near her. He angled his body a little so that he would land behind and on her leftside. His landing wasn't the most graceful and he rolled in the sand. Standing up he shook out his fur and wings. He looked under his wing to see how much the pretty Shakaiyou seen.

Sayuri looked at the odd birdlike Shakaiyo. She had seen the whole landing, but she wasn't going to say anything. She figured that is she had wings her landing wouldn't have been much better. She tended to be quite clumbsy, and as a child her peers used to call her Butter-fingers. Let's not get distracted now, she thought to herself. She trotted up to the pale yellow Shakaiyo, smiled sweetly and said, "Hello".

Alsoomse looked at the female Shakaiyo, "Hello. You didnt see that right?" Shaking his head, his cheeks getting red, "Its alright if you did. I can be a klutz at times. I am Alsoomse, but you can call me Al." He started rubbing his beak against his leg, a little nervous being around another Shakaiyo.

"That's alright, we can all be a little klutzy at times," she said and smiled sweetly. "I'm Sayuri, but you can call me, ummm..., Sayuri?" She chuckled softly. "Al, thats a nice name.." She looked around quickly, the stars had disapeared and the sun was too high in the sky to tell wich way north was. Oh no, how was she going to be able to find the Oasis now? "Do you happen to know where the Oasis is? I get lost soo easily..."

 ~Bella bunny walks in the sand, it was the first time she had seen so much sand all around she smirks then starts to bunny hop letting her long ears touch the ground as she does so. After a couple of mintues she stops and looks at the sand hills she then smiles and hops around somemore and up one of hills~

"Sayuri thats a pretty name. The Oasis, yeah I remember where that is." Al looks around and then sighs. "I never traveled to it from the ground before." He said sheepishly and scratched at his legs.

"Thats okay, I'll just wait till sundown till I can see the stars. My father taught me how to use them to tell which direction you are going," Sayuri sweetly. "Looks like I have some time to kill.." She stared blankly up at the sky, the golden sun halfway across it's blue vastness. "So, Al, where are you from?" she asked.

Al looked a Sayuri with amazement, "You follow the stars?" Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of something boucning near a hill. He turned back to Sayuri and opened a wing to block out the sun on her, "I am from the Oasis, I just fly all the time. I think I seen something over on those hills."

"Thanks," she said with a shy smile."The Oasis must be beautiful. I'm from the mountains, and I figured a little adventure was due. Anyways, it's always nice to travel to new places and meet new people." She glanced up at the sandy hills, and sure enough there was a small pale figure trotting over one."Wait, I see it too.. It looks like a ...bunny?" Sayuri smirked, she had never realized how many Shakaiyo enjoyed wandering through scorching deserts.
