Brin pounced, but... She sighed softly, her prey quickly slipping out of sight. She was still hiding the fact that she had to eat meat. Now alone, all animals scurrying away out of fear of being eaten, Brin truly felt as though she was a monster. She turned and trotted off, intent on finding some other sort of meal for the day, but instead the sound of larger hooves caught her attention. Daddy... It had to be him. Who else would be nearby? She would have to put off her hunting for another day, she wasnt ready to tell her parents she ate meat instead of grass. Quickening her pace she made her way toward the footsteps. But... As she came into view of the owner she stopped dead in her tracks. It was not Zuzu. She lowered her head and backed up a few steps, getting ready to bolt, but the wings and horns of the much larger male caught her attention. He was like her, in a way.

"No..." Brin mumbled to the large male as he bent his head down to view her better, no doubt sizing her up as a meal. Wait... She couldnt think like that. She after all was part kalona as well, or at least she assumed she was by her looks. She had yet to meet another Kalona that was 'full blooded', so she knew not what a true one looked like. But from the many she had seen she could only assume what they looked like.

Hesatantly she took a step towards the male, flairing her wings ever so slightly, tilting them up so her crimson wing eyes could scan the male as well. He had the horns, almost exactly like her own in design, the leathery wings, the cloven hooves, and... She raised her tail to look at it through one wing while she stared at the males tail of hair. He wasn't a full blooded Kalona. Tension eased from her a bit; she so far had at least avoided violence from all others like her, non-fulbloods. "No, I'm not lost. I just... Thought you were someone else."

Should she dare? She had already received a snarl from the male, and the last thing she wanted was to upset him further. Oh, why not. His snarl could have merely been out of surprise, right? "You aren't a full blooded Kalona are you? You wont try to eat me?"

"A Kalona that eyed several foals including myself and licked his lips did - said we were snacks he did." Brin said bluntly. She listened on though, trying to figure out what the Skin something was. "Skinwalker?" Brin asked. Ironically, her grandmother Quin had told Brin of such creatures; one in particular that indeed tried to eat Quin as a foal, Aderes, a silver mare with a black wolf pelt over her body. "No, it couldn't have been one of those... It had my tail and horns... And it didnt have an animal skin on it..." Brin said quietly as she mused.

Brin gave a noticeable sigh of relief though as the male before her said he would not eat her and trotted promptly up to him. To Brin she accepted his not wanting to eat her as him not wanting to harm her; they were one in the same to her. "Well then, in that case, m'names Zul'brin. It's a pleasure to meet you!" She said cheerfully.
