Kizuka was walking along the edge of a waterhole on the outskirts of her pride close to dusk. She had recently found out she was pregnant and was struggling with the news. She wasn't ready to be a mother, not to mentioned the father was nowhere nearby, but all the same she was still happy.

"At least I'll have you with me always." She muttered to herself, as she batted the surface of the waterhole with her paw. She watched as the water rippled and caught a glimmer of something red at the edge; blood red. She jumped back and snapped her head up thinking that Spenta's brother had found her only to find that the male she thought was the Mainyu brother was not. Instead a red and white lion starred back at her a bizarre look on his face.

The male with the bizarre look on his face was Ment, and he had every right to have it there, regardless or not if it permanently stuck like his mother always chided him it would.

A stupid grin crossed his face as he addressed the lioness in front of him, "Isn't that a little narcissistic to be talking about yourself to yourself?"

Kizuka gave the male lion a hiss, not pleased by whatever wise crack he was attempting to make at her expense, "I wasn't talking about myself, and I certainly was not talking to you."

Kizuka flared her nostrils at him and went to turn from the red and white colored lion. Men. Any one of them without the name 'Spenta' all seemed the same; jerks, full of themselves, idiots. It was no surprise to her that this one was exactly like that. He probably didn't even know of her importance, not that she cared.

"Why don't you find someone else to bother, lion. I have no time for this or you," She said, begining to saunter off in the opposite direction, her head held high. Only to be cut off by the same white and red lion that she was attempted to walk away from.

"Hey!" Ment said, making sure to block the lioness's path the best he could, "I was joking! Damn, haven't you ever heard of humor?"

This girl acted like she had a rod in her spine, or a stick up her butt. She was acting to rigid and above it all it made his ears itch slightly. Than again, he had seen worse, the fate of a rogue it was. Nothing he could really do about that one.

"Look, I'm sorry. It was just a little amusing to see you sitting there staring into the water and talking to yourself," He explained, sincere in his attempt to apologize, "Besides, you shouldn't act so stressed about about something so small, I doubt your cubs would like that."

Kizuka starred at the male in front of her slack-jawed. What would he know about cubs, and what was best for them? He was a male! A rogue at that! He had no idea how to raise cubs or what is good for them.

"You are a MAN! What do you know about cubs!? You don't carry them! You don't raise them! You get your good time and you leave!" Kizuka was not one to have a temper, but she was hormonal and some random male just tried to tell her what's good for her babies. She hissed at him, and not a pleasant hiss, not a mild hiss, a 'Outa my way before you become dinner.' hiss.

Ment's head cocked to the side as he took a couple of steps back. He had already had his a** handed to him by what was supposed to be his dinner today, and he was not about to have his a** handed to him to some hormonal mommy. Especially one that wasn't fathering his kids.

"What is with you females? Can't some guy be concerned about the health and welfare of another without some ulterior motive being present?" He asked, getting out of her way as Kizuka tried to shove past him.

"Apparently not." Kizuka replied, growing tired of the lion who kept getting in her way. As soon as she was able to clear him she took off in a sprint.

What was with men randomly getting in her way as of late? First it was one of the councilmen displeased with his cohorts decision to appoint her and her sister to leadership, than some guy who she had grown up with all her life asking her why she'd give herself to Spenta, who was not apart of their pride, but would deny him, and now this 'joker' thinking it was funny to insinuate that not only is she incapable of caring for her own children, but that she was like the Udade'dinga, not all there in her head.

As she headed back to her pride, Kizuka was pretty sure she was going to force herself to forget about this encounter. Just like she was going to force herself to forget that she was getting fat and that not everyone was pleased to have her as their new spiritual leader. She was hoping she could forget about everything, but in the back of her head, she knew it wasn't going to happen.
