It had started to lightly rain as Wei and Bug was wandering the streets.
Wei was fine, she liked the water
Bug, however didn't like being wet as much as she enjoyed watching Wei masterfully move it about. Bug was starting to understand how Wei did "business," mimicking her, she tugged on Wei's shirt and started pouting.
Wei wasn't fooled, this was her trick, Bug wanted something. "What's up Bug, you don't have to lure me, just tell me what you want, 'kay?"
Bug frowned balled her fists and put her arms over her head, making loud whining noises all the while. For some reason Bug didn't like using her words with Wei, but somehow she always knew what she wanted and that was enough for her.
A heavy sigh came out of Wei, she realized Bug wanted out of the rain, that was fine with her, Bug's sniffling was starting to annoy her anyways. Wei looked up at the sign that was for the store they were in front of, Spotted egg. Humans come up with the weirdest names for things.
Looking back down at Bug "Okay, lets go in this store for a while, but don't take anything until I tell you."
Bug nodded fiercely.

"It's raining!" Nate said, in the Children's department of the Cat's Eye Bookstore, starting out the window as he balanced on about twelve different books. The small pig boy rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I told you it was gonna like...Six times." the pig boy was a little older but not that much bigger than the anthropomorphic red plastic cup, but he was clearly a little more "aware" than his new sibling. Leo was trying to read one of the comics he took from the Graphic Novel section when he saw an older girl come in with a yellow child. Leo put the book down, scurrying into the back of the store to go get his father...Now where was he?
Nathan on the other hand had already jumped off his little pile of books, watching the new people enter. "Hiiii!" the boy said loudly with a big, welcoming smile, "My names Nathan! Who are you?"

A little taken back by the red boy, Bug shyly hide behind Wei pressing her face into her shirt.
Bug squeaked though the cloth "I'm Bug."
Completely unfazed by the red boy, (she'd seen many other strange humans since coming to gaia, Bug for example),
Wei looked down at the girl and replied "And I'm Wei. Who was the kid that ran off just now? And what is this place"
There were so many books she couldn't tell whether they popped into a shop or a wizard's workshop.

"That's my big brother Leo! He's a nerd who reads too much. This is my Dad's bookstore! It's boooorrrinng and I'm not allowed on the second floor and stuff. Your names are silly! I like them!" the little red bundle of energy said in one breath, happy to explain this place to these two. The older kid looked weird, but the younger one kind of looked like him in a way! It was cool!

Bug was quite amazed at how fast the boy talked, he talked far more than she ever did, even when she was talking to the grown ups.
Wei Scrunched her nose when he said it was a bookstore "books, yuck." Bug mimicked her more quietly through the fabric. And then suddenly Bug's stomach started making funny noises, it was at times like these Bug would look up at Wei for answers.
Wei sighed at the sounds of Bug's grumbling stomach, it was past lunch and they hadn't eaten anything yet.

Coming out with still a groggy expression came lumbering out the 6' 4" werecat, Deet. The potbellied cat wiped the crust from his eyes, grumbling. The small pig boy had woken him up because of a possible customer...But instead he saw two little girls! Huh, go figure.
"Ah, hey there, what can I do ya for Little Lady?" Deet asked with a smirk to Wei with a warm smile. Poor thing was drenched it seemed!
"Daaad! Daddaddaddad!" Nate came running up to Deet, clinging to a leg, "Dad! That's Wei and that's Bug! They have silly names can they stay for lunch please please please pleeaaasseee?!" If Deet had been a little more awake and Nate had been a good grand less beggy...Deet probably would've said yes any way.

Wei straightened up when the tall cat grown up came into the room, adults always made a mess of everything.
Bug stuffed her face into Wei's back after catching a glimpse of the werecat, he was not friendly looking, but Bug wasn't too keen on the little kittens that Wei called "Strays" either. Bug's tummy was still making noises and was starting to hurt, she didn't like this place AT ALL.
Wei was apparently being asked a question, but before she could answer with, food would be nice, Nathan did it for her so she just added to his loving touch."Ummm, yes, well, could we stay for lunch? Bug's tummy is growling awfully."

"Well...Um, sure, I guess that's okay. Can't send you two out in the rain after all, can I?" Deet said to the young ones. Strange people seemed attracted to the store, the werecat noted. He looked at the feathered young girl hiding behind the blond one...Perhaps they were sisters? Either way, he wasn't about to send them off to get drenched! That'd just be cruel.
"Come along, then." Deet said, prying the little red boy off his leg with a smile at the young girls, "My name is Deet. And who might you two be?" he asked the girls with a gentle smile.

Well you could, thought Wei, a lot of usual merchants did, but he probably didn't expect anyone stealing books, which he was going to be right in this case.
Wei made a wincing smile Deet and tried to pull Bug off her shirt. In return Bug glared at Wei and refuse to let go. Wei sighed and dragged forward following the two.
"I'm Wei and this thing is Bug" pointing her companion out, Bug back gasped and clung tighter to Wei's backside.
