A sword that controls your actions and eats your soul?
No thank you.
One of my favorites has to be the chemical thrower in the first Bioshock. It mother ******** shoots lightning!
And the crossbow. Both of those have left an impression on me, despite not liking the game a whole lot. (it was fun, but far from "the best FPS this generation" that so many think it is.)
Also the Harpoon gun in Crackdown is pretty funsauce. Hit people just right and the go flying until they aren't rendered anymore.
A weapon has to be different and/or really fun for me to think of it as more then just another weapon. Soul Edge just doesn't cut it for me.

Smash Bros. Hammer? The hook/clawshot is pretty awesome too, though I'm boring and prefer the Samurai Edge.

i dunno, fish's ban hammer is pretty bad a**.
god if some geek company like thinkgeek made a 40lb hammer with the word "BAN" on the side of it, i would pay anything for it. and i'd pack it to college each day. especially days i have my networking classes.
