Lucifel had begged Tori to take her to the park. She was bored and it was hot... She knew her sister couldn't swim so what better way to conquer the situation than going to the parks water area. It was simply just a sprinkler type of system that activated when you jumped on it. There was a fountain in the middle with a tiny wading pool- just right for tots.
"Isn't Enyo around?" Tori asked as she gave her sister a look that said do I have to. She really, really hated to put on the swimsuit and go out into public... It left her so exposed. When Lucifel nodded her head and tugged at Tori's hand she sighed. "Alright then. Go get dressed..." she mumbled as she headed to her room to get dressed.
It was about half an hour later that they arrived at that tiny water area that the park offered. Lucifel of course didn't want for nothing before dashing off to make the water work as she leapt onto the area.

Well, there was nothing he could do. Donovan Hart was now the 'father' of a little boy, now named Vance. While the empty room in his house was being remodeled to accommodate the little tyke, Donovan took Vance to the park. He knew that it had a little water park in it, and knew that Vance, being part frog apparently, would benefit greatly from it.
The young man, still dressed in his work coveralls, set the boy down to go play. "Have fun." He said half heartedly, still trying to get used to this situation. The young man wandered to sit at a bench and cancel some dates he had set up over the course of the week on his cellphone.
Vance giggled and ran toward the splash pads in his swimming trunks. Watching with wide eyes as water spurted outward. "Woooow! It flies!"

Lucifel who been attempting to catch the sprays of water wasn't paying attention at all to what was going on around here. Her last attempt landed her on top of Vance. She wasn't heavy, or that tall so it would hardly effected either of them- it more so just a 'oopps' type of thing. And, thus she began to giggly- wildly at that.
The last thing Tori wanted to do was get wet. That meant not only having to leave her towel but having to look like a drown rat. But, she did the sisterly thing- and quickly at that. She ran over to Lucifel and the little boy. "Apologize," she told her sister as she apologized for the both of them.
"Sorry," Lucifel was still giggling. "Water fun! Fun!"

Vance hadn't seen the green haired girl approach, and let out a loud squeak when the girl took a tumble on top of him. "Oof!" He yelled out comically with a giggle. He wiggled his way out from under her and sat up, looking up at the other stranger who had come their way. Donovan had looked up for s short moment to see what the ruckus was, but went straight back to going through his messages.
What was sorry for again? He knew he had to say sorry a lot when Donovan told him not to touch things... and did it anyway. The little frog boy smiled at the green haired girl. "Fun Fun!" He giggled again, crawling to his feet. "Wanna play with me?" He asked happily. He'd never gotten to play with someone before! And this girl had green hair just like him, so she had to be pretty awesome!

Tori stood up, shook her head, and sighed. "Kids," she muttered. She loved her sister, she loved kids... But, damn could they get on your nerves.
Her next thought was why hadn't the boys parents come to check on him... Or, was she just overly protective... She put a hand above her eyes to shade them as she looked around. It was a pain considering that the sun was directly in her line of site. There was only one person in the park's water area... and he was currently nose to phone. She humphed.
"You two play nice... I've got my eye on you," with that said she marched over to the man. She wasn't a kid, she wasn't a preteen, she wasn't a teen... She was somewhere in between all of it- but her mind frame was years ahead of her body.
"Your kiddo just got knocked over... aren't you the least bit concerned?" She asked when she was standing directly in front of him. "Or, is that gadget more important?"
----
Lucifel pretty much ignored what her sister had to stay. "I Lucifel. But I get called FelFel a lot," she was all smile and giggles. "What you name? You green too! I love green! Water fun!" She was one of those kids that could say and ask a 'million' things before finally stopping for the other person to catch up.

Donovan looked up from his phone when it was apparent someone was in front of him, and apparently addressing him. He looked up with a mildly befuddled expression, then looked over again at Vance. "He isn't hurt. If someone starts crying, then I'll be concerned." He said seriously, pocketing the device for now. He guessed this girl must be somehow related to the girl Vance seemed to be talking to. It wasn't that he didn't care for the little guy, though to be honest he was still getting his head around being a parent all of the sudden. "The gadget can wait." He said simply after ward, resting his arms over his knees for now. He was actually pretty much done with it at that point anyway.
---
Vance stared at the girl as she continued talking. So much information all at once! What was a boy to do? "Felly." He said in response to her introducing herself, giggling. Lucifel was too long, Felfel was too much of a mouthful, so he decided to make up a nickname on the spot. "Vance!" He answered proudly. "Daddy named me!" He remembered it well! Donovan used some strange glowing screen called a 'computer' and said he found his name while 'surfing'. So cool!
The boy looked over at the water again, and noticed the little splash pool. It was like a giant bathtub! "I wanna go 'dere!!" Vance squeaked, pointing excitedly over to the kiddy pool.

"You apparently haven't been a parent for long," she said as she wrapped the towel tighter around her. Then without asking she sat down beside him. "Regardless if they cry or not you are suppose to be at the ready for them. Kids no matter the age need attention- especially tots. If you continue to have your nose in your gadget all the time you'll find both of you to be in a world of trouble sooner rather than later," she smiled as she twisted a finger into her curls. She looked away from him and back towards the kids.
----
"Van!" She clapped and giggled. "Good name. You daddy did good ob!" She jumped up and down causing the water to spray according to her movements.
"Let's go," she said in agreement when he pointed to the little splash pool. "First we need rent... It ranger-us." She had gone to the pool enough and had had it drilled into her memory the importance of adults when around water.
"I get my sissy Tori!" She giggled as she held up one finger and then ran to her sister.
Tori of course had no choice but to comply as her sister dragged her off back to the water area. She looked over her shoulder... She hoped he at least took some of the message to heart.
"K! Now water!" She used her other hand and grabbed Vance's. She didn't notice anything to indicate that the boy was different from any other tot.

"Understatement of the year." Donovan replied in regards to how long he'd been a parent. A day or two, yeah, not very long. He did listen seriously to what the girl said, since she seemed to know what she was doing. He didn't say anything at first, and just stared at the ground, biting at his lip as he thought about it. He wasn't getting out of raising the kid now, so maybe he should get a little more into it.
---
Vance tilted his head as the girl ran off to find her sister. What was she doing? That wasn't the pool. Why did she need the tall girl? He smiled and giggled again when Felly came back and took his hand. This was exciting! He followed after them, anxious to get to the water. He hummed happily, and swung the hand that he was holding.
Donovan watched as the girl left to watch over the kids, and as Vance also followed along. Well, not wanting to be the bad parent early on, he decided it best to watch over him. Sure, he had supervision, and the pool was shallow enough for toddlers, but like the girl said, he was still very young. He got up and walked over to the area they were headed to, his hands in his pockets.

"Tori his name Vance," Lucifel giggled as she impatiently waited to get into the pool.
"Alright Vance you first," Tori said as she lifted the little boy into the wadding pool. "One at a time," despite her giggle she rolled her eyes. Her sister was such a 'butt' sometimes... Always had to be first. "Alright your turn," she said as she helped her sister into the wadding pool.
"Tanks!" Lucifel giggled and clapped. In her excitement she fell into a sitting position. "Fun!" She splashed Vance. "Play!"
"Don't splash him in the face," Tori said as she sat on the edge of the wading pool. "Play nice!" She sounded like a broken, but necessarily, record. She hadn't realized Vance's dad had come over to the waiting pool area.
Lucifel gave her sister a look. "Silly sissy," she giggled and stuck her tongue out at her sister. She quickly returned her attention to her new green friend.

Vance squeaked and giggled as he was picked up. His skin was a bit slippery, being part frog, but luckily made it into the pool without being dropped. Vance giggled happily, clapping the splashing the water around him. He turned when water had been splashed at him, instinctively raising his arms in defense and giggling out loud. This was fun! He splashed back, backing away but slipping on the bottom. He yelped and fell onto his bottom. "Waah! Ha ha! I fell too!" Dang those slippery feet of his! He stayed sitting for now, and splashed at Lucifel again. "Dah water is cold!" He squeaked with a laugh.
Donovan watched from a distance, inwardly his gut tightened when Vance had slipped, but he did a lot of falling anyway. As long as he wasn't hurt or crying, he didn't interrupt the boy's fun.

"Cold!" Lucifel giggled and clapped before splashing back. "Both fall!" She clapped some more. "Lots fun!" For once she wasn't running circles around everyone in all of her excitement. She was actually pretty contained at the moment.
Tori pulled the bag off of her shoulder and pulled out a small inflatable ball. It didn't take her but a couple of seconds to have it ready. "Share," she smiled.
Lucifel clapped. "Ball!" She poked it as she watched it float in between them. "It green! You have first!" She said pushing it towards Vance.

Vance stared in awe at the toy being inflated, then sent between the two of them. A ball! And it floats! "Yaaay! Tank you!" Vance squeaked happily, crawling to his feet. He waded over to the ball, picking it up and tossing it back to Lucifel. This was how you played this game, right? Daddy played this game too! He always tossed toys down the hall for the boy to get, and came back and he did it again. Fun!
Vance giggled as they played, looking around and spotting his dad. "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" He called, causing Donovan to raise his brow. "What is it, kiddo?" The boy grinned ear to ear. "I'm playing, Daddy!" Donovan couldn't help but chuckle at the boy's exuberance. "Pay attention Vance. Don't get bopped in the face."

Tori chuckled at the boy's realization of playing. She wondered just how much Vance got to do such a thing or if he was just stuffed up most of the time. She sighed and mentally shook the thoughts away.
"I no hit face. Tori told me no." Lucifel said with a pout in response to what Vance's dad had said. "Van no have balls? Toys?" She asked when he commented about playing. "You can take home ball when we no play anymore," she smiled. She liked to share and they certianly had plenty at home.

Vance's eyes lit up, and looked to his dad again. "She said I can have dah ball!" He squeaked happily. Donovan smirked a bit. "Borrow, she meant. Buddy, I can buy you a ball if you want." Vance seemed to drop his jaw at that. Daddy was gonna get him a BALL! Today was awesome! He turned back to Lucifel and smiled widely. "He got me lots of stuff today. He got...green stuff!" Donovan ruffled his own hair. Such a kid. "Furniture. Bed, desk, dresser." Vance tilted his head. "I dunno what those are." "You know what a bed is, bud." "Dah comfy thing?" "...Yes. Where you sleep." "Sleep is boring." "Vance, your friend his waiting for you to play." Donovan said with a bit of a chuckle. The little guy did love to go on tangents when he really got going.
Vance turned back to Lucifel and continued to play pass the ball, occasionally purposely falling back into the water to get soaked again. He liked to be constantly soaked in water, especially with the sun out so bright and hot.
Donovan took this time to explain a bit as to why he was so naive to the needs of a toddler. "I just got him a couple days ago, so he's been sleeping in my bed."

"Lucifel meant what she said. He can have the ball. We are very well off and will not miss it at all," Tori said as she looked over her shoulder and at the boy's dad. "You know he's not some toy you buy at the mall. The proper phrase would be that you just adopted him a couple of days ago... or, something close to that," she smiled before returning her attention back on the tots.
"I get way to," Lucifel giggled. "They say I mil-l-ion words minute," she clapped as the ball came back towards her.
"Sissy I get hungry," she said as she pushed ball back towards Vance. "You hungry Van? We have snacks," she giggled. "We share. We like share!"
