extra goodies VIDEOS MADE BY ME: How To: Curl Hair With A Straightening Iron ; this is basically how I do my hair! Alex requested~ How To: Quick Easy Makeup ; just how I do my makeup, and also how I use an angle brush, requested by Ath.
MADE BY SOMEONE ELSE: Makeup Routine: If I ever feel like wearing makeup, this is the method I use! It's very easy and not too much -- just enhances a bit. I generally skip the foundation/concealer, because I feel the more I put on my face, the worse it will be in the future! I just follow the eye steps.
PRODUCT SUGGESTIONS Organix Energizing Passionfruit Guava Shampoo: It leaves my hair smelling better than any shampoo ever has. It makes it softer, thicker, and shinier too! I'm in love with this shampoo -- I have yet to try Organix' other shampoo's, but I'm sticking to this until it finishes.
Yes To Carrots Lip Butter: I got this in the Melon scent. It's not strong whatsoever! It provides a soft, fresh, melon scent and keeps my lips feeling softer than ever. I'm a huge Burt's Bees advocate, but after trying this (it is 95% organic!), I think I've fallen in love.

I have naturally frizzy hair that also curls up pretty nicely. But mostly frizz. Like, if there's so much as a light gust coming through a cracked window one room over, FWOOSH, it loses all form.
I'm currently using Biosilk shampoo and Aussie 3-Minute Miracle conditioner, and use Biosilk proper after I shower so the frizz won't explode AS much, but I know there's gotta be some way to not look like a hippiestoner if there's a breeze. D:

@edge: WHAT? XD @alex: Alright, sure! Soon in the future. O: I'll post it in here when I do and let you know~
@klempky: WELL YOU'RE LUCKY, we have the same hair type! I've tried so much s**t to battle frizz; finally I've landed on something that works for me. (It doesn't mean its right, but it's worth giving a shot!) THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG, SO I APOLOGIZE BEFOREHAND. XD;
Shampoo: I use Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo. It has a strong minty smell and tingles my scalp (but not in a '******** IT BURNS' manner). If your hair gets easily oily, I recommend using a clear shampoo, not a milky one (if that makes any sense). I also suggest buying another kind of shampoo! Doesn't have to be expensive, just any store brand for your specific hair type would be good. The trick to keeping your hair looking fresh is switching up through shampoos every now and then. Now when shampooing, focus solely on the scalp -- you can run your soapy fingers through your hair if it grosses you out, but what you're concentrating on is cleaning your scalp.
Conditioner: My conditioner pairs up with the Aveda shampoo, though I switch through depending on my other shampoo. Before applying conditioner, I squeeze out any excess water from my hair. I then apply about a nickle to quarter sized amount starting from the ends of my hair toward about the middle of it. If your hair is oily, make sure it doesn't touch your scalp, as the buildup will produce excess oil. The biggest key at this point is to leave it in. Wash your face or your body while your hair soaks up the conditioner -- I'd say about a minute or two. Then rinse! :3
Before I get out of the shower, I make it a point to rinse all my hair with cold water. It doesn't have to be FREEZING, but at least as cold as you can stand it! This closes your pores and strengthens your hair -- it also makes it shinier.
After Shower: Depending on the season/weather, I switch through the products I use after I shower. During the wintertime I like to use either Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream or Sunsilk Captivating Curls Gel & Cream Twist. I just pump/squeeze about a nickle to quarter sized amount in my hand and rake it through my hair, scrunching it up a bit to create better curls. During the summer I like to let my hair air-dry, so I just spray on some Sunsilk Non-Aerosol Waves of Envy Sea Mist and chill around at home. Every now and then while my hair is drying, I flip it upsidedown and spray, as well as just upright, to keep the wave/curl there and combat the frizz.
If You Use a Hairdryer: After applying the product, I use the blow drying nozzle (which looks like this flat thing), and I put it horizontally. I brush my bangs down in the position I want them, then dry them with hot air until they're almost completely dry. Then I quickly run the hair dryer through the rest of my hair, only for a few seconds. I flip my hair upsidedown and continue drying the rest of it like that. While doing this, I try to use the cool air option as much as possible, since heat can damage your hair. I've also found flipping your hair upsidedown can give it more volume and combat frizz quite efficiently! When the hair is about 80% dry, I flip it over and brush my bangs back to place. When you do this, your hair should be pretty big, but more curly than frizzy. :3 Now I apply a dime-sized amount of Chi Silk Infusion on the lower lower ends of my hair. This is optional, since it can be a bit pricey, but it really keeps my hair soft and protects the ends. I let the rest of my hair air dry completely~
Extra Tips - If you're in a hurry, grab a fabric softener sheet/dryer sheet and run it over your hair. It should kill the static/frizz immediately! - If you like how your hair looks before you go out, use some wind/weather proof hairspray. There is a good amount on the market, but I personally like the Aussie hairspray. It smells great too~ - If your hair is long enough and you just don't have the patience to do s**t, put on a beanie/hat or tie your hair, though this was pretty obvious. XD
And well, that's what I do. It sounds like a lot, but it really isn't. :3 I really hope this helped. If you're confused about anything, feel free to ask! (If you find yourself not feeling to do any of this stuff, then at least run your hair with cold water before you leave the shower. I PROMISE it helps a shitload~)

Thank you! I actually do a decent amount of that stuff already because I'm incredibly girly when it comes to my hygiene, but the tips on oilinessstuff is good to know. Now that I think about it I really have no idea how oily my hair is naturally, but I'll try to judge and do all that jazz.
Also, I definitely do the whole scalp-rubbin', but that usually ends up making my hair have even less form than if I'm lazy with it. Tips?

You can try a volumizing shampoo! If you dry your hair, flipping it upsidedown insanely helps. It's instavolume for free. And also having a layered haircut, since I'm assuming you have longer hair. The shorter the layers, the more voluminous.
I also forgot to point out something crucial! For curly hair, don't brush it. I don't brush my hair ever except for maybe once in a while before I wash it to spread the natural oils. Other than that, brushing it loses the curl and volume and makes more frizz!

Yeah, I have mediumish hair, a little bit below the ears (About to get it recut because it's lookin' nasty). As for volume, I actually try to keep that to a happy medium or just plain minimum, since it basically gives me a fro and I'm not Decoy and can't pull it off because it makes my head look huge. As for the not combing thing, I tried that for a while, but it just made the situation worse. D8
Also sorry for being a negative nancy, my hair and I have never been on good terms.

It's okay, you're not being negative! XD I used to be all 'BLEH BLEH UGH' with my hair too~ It got to the point that I ended up permanently straightening my hair in 8th grade. o_x Which I'm so glad faded out, eff~ This would be easier if I had a picture of your hair, but I respect no photos! :3
Either way, try some of the tips above, and if you still feel nothing is working, you can go to a hairstylist (not barber) and tell them what's going on. >: Or you can post here, I can try to keep helping as much as I can!

Oh right, photos! Here's one of me from New Year's (I've been desperately trying to recapture this hair since, but ever since I shaved the scraggly goatee I think the hair on my head has been getting back at me for the loss of its brother) which looks pretty good I think, and here's another one from the same night, only it's pretty conveniently just a direct shot of the top of my head. Here's one from even earlier; I don't know how well you can make it out from the distance and poster backdrop, but yeah. Sorry for not having up-to-date photos, I just haven't hung out with my camwhore friends (LOLYOKO) much lately. Also, I don't know if you can tell from those pictures, but my hair has this ridiculous looking flip up around the ears that I can't really seem to control. Is that just hard-programmed into my hair, or does it have more to do with the layering? Also, all of those photos are days in which my hair looks awesome. I'll probably get you a picture where it looks not-so-awesome sooner or later, since that'd probably help out better. The main focus is just that I want to try to capture hair like in the pictures all the time, but it rarely happens.

YOU'RE SO CUTE MAN. O:
From what I see, your hair looks fine! Though as you said, they're days in which your hair looked good. We definitely have almost the same hair type, it's sort of eerie. XD I find the little flip near your ear to be quite fitting, even though you seem to dislike it. >: The only way I can think of controlling that is to cut your hair a bit shorter layer wise, but not so much as to make it look like an afro.

D'AWW THANK YOOOU <3
And well, it's not so much the flip, now that I think about it, just how it's very fickle and sometimes the flip just doesn't... work. My barber (I haven't gone to a hairstylist since I don't really know any places around here for it and I've been going to that barbershop all my life and like the people) left it a little too long around the ears, so now it doesn't flip, it just flops, and it looks really crappy (HAIRCUT TOMORROW). Also, my hair is noticeably asymmetrical, at least to me.
Yeah, trying to make it not look afro-ey is difficult. UghIdunno.
Like I said, haircut tomorrow. Once it's done some adjusting, I'll get back to you, but thanks so far.
Also I find it kinda funny how this is the only thing that's really dominated this thread so far. XD
