Kizuka was out on the prowl that evening. She did not do much evening hunting, and generally did not wander so far away from her pride, but she had gotten word of a pure white cub in the area, and had wanted to see this child herself. A child touched by god, an excellent addition to their pride.
She had yet to find the child, and so she decided to stop her search for the day and look for food. Her stomach grumbled terribly, and she knew that if she did not eat soon she may faint, and it was something she did not want.
Kizuka spotted a lone gazelle grazing off in the distance. She readied herself, laying low to the ground and started stalking. She had only moved about fifty feet when it hit her, her body became cold and up from the tall grass she was in, it was there. A glowing pink hare.
Now, Kizuka had seen pink hares before, infact she once had one for a snack, however she had never seen them glow. She knew what was happening as she watched it, she was having a vision; that glowing pink hare had been sent by the gods to lead her somewhere, and she was to follow it. And follow it she did.

Solace was evading Spenta this evening. He should be used to such a feeling, but unease was heavy in the air this night. Spen had strayed from the boundaries of his comfort and had stepped upon new land in search of the solitude that was so near to Spenta's heart.
The cool grass brushed against his ear, soothing in its own right. The air was free of his brothers putrid scent. Had he found the peace he had been searching for? Spen could only hope that Angra would not seek him out. The hour was late, and Spen was tired from his day of travels.
Content and pleased by the spot he'd found, Spenta languished in the comfort and silence that lingered in the air about him.

Kizuka followed the glowing pink rabbit for twenty minutes before it disappeared. It was not a strong sight, as many of the ones she got frequently were, but any sight she experienced was important, when she returned she would have to tell the scribes of what she had scene while out and about.
As she raised her head and looked around to see where the rabbit had led her, she spotted him, white, with a blue mane and intricate markings along his legs. Did the gods bring her here to find this male? And for what purpose? She figured the only way to find out what the gods would want from him for her would be to approach him.
She walked up on him quietly, not sure how the lion before her would react to her presence, "Hello?"

Maybe if he stayed quiet and still, she would go away. He could only hope she'd leave him in peace. Spen was tired, slightly grumpy, and not really in the mood for company. It was late, he was hungry... the reasons to remain still and perhaps let out a little false snore went on and on.
Wait, had that thought really just flitted through his head? He was sounding a lot like Angra these days, and that didn't sit well with Spenta. He would die before he became his horrible brother. With a final, resigned sigh, Spenta rose to seek out the owner of the voice. He peered out over the tall grass and caught sight of a gorgeous alabaster female peering back at him.
She was lovely, likely the most stunning lioness he'd seen before. He was suddenly wide awake, all lingering traces of fatigue vanishing in the next few instants. He lifted his nose, searching for her scent. "Hello, miss," he nearly purred. The tone of his own voice almost shocked him; he'd never sounded like that before!

Kizuka smiled at being called 'miss', she had never been called that before. She was mostly addressed by her title in her pride, Umbikezeli. With so many priestesses about, learning names was often times troublesome for the normal members of the pride, and simply referred to you as 'Umbikezeli', that was unless they well or better aquainted with you, in which they would attach your name at the end of your title, to show you respect.
She approached him cautiously, and though he looked like he was a nice lion and did not mean her any harm, she could not be too careful. She had to return to her pride at some point or else they would know she was missing, they always notice when one of the Umbikezeli went missing.
"I am Kizuka'nafsi," She said, feeling an introduction would probably be the most appropriate. She gave him a small bow as a sign of respect,"I did not imagine I would run into such a blessed lion at this time of the evening."

"Blessed?" Spen was slightly taken aback at that statement. "How do you mean, Kizuka'nafsi?" He lowered his head sheepishly before introducing himself. "Forgive me, I am Spenta Mainyu, but please, call me Spenta or Spen. I am sorry for the many questions, it is just that I have never been called 'blessed' before." It was curious, really, that she would refer to him as such; as of late he'd considered himself anything BUT blessed.
He watched her carefully. She wasn't threatening in the least, instead she seemed to watch him with wary eyes. Lovely, shimmering silver eyes that seemed so captivating and -- Spenta cleared his throat, slightly embarassed about his racing thoughts. He hoped she couldn't see the pink tinge that colored the tips of his ears and nose. "I beg forgiveness if I have overstepped onto the land of your pride, but I mean no harm and only look for a spot to rest my head for the evening."

"I am...far from home. I am not sure who's lands we are on," Kizuka admitted. Her interest in the male before her growing steadily the more they spoke. He had a reserved, shy quality to him that Kizuka found absolutely appealing.
"Blessed," She began, walking a little closer to him, her suspicion of possible confrontations having waned. If he had wanted a fight, it would have started already, so she no longer feared one may occur and allowed her guard to fall in his presence.
"In my pride, it is a belief of ours that those with light colored pelts are blessed by the gods," She explained,"And those with pure white pelts are children of the gods."
Kizuka started to walk around him to get a better look at him. His markings were so interesting, she had never seen such curls and colors on a pelt before. She almost wondered if the markings were paint on his pelt and not actual fur.

Spenta enjoyed the way the lioness seemed to relax before his very eyes. He listened to her intently, waiting for her to finish before he spoke. "Children of the gods, you say?" It sounded a little... off to Spen, but fascinating at the same time. It was so interesting to him how different prides held different beliefs. Besides, the last thing he wanted to do was ridicule this stunning female's pride.
"You are a blessed one, then? A child of the gods?" He chuckled softly, tail flicking the slightest with his humor. "Is it not dangerous for a lovely lioness to be out alone, and so far from home?" Spen tilted his head towards her, noting her fascination with his markings. He lifted a paw towards her, offering it for closer criticism. "Not to mention a blessed child of the gods to be out and about without protection," he continued, watching her carefully.

"My parents are blessed, as am I and my twin," She said, inspecting the paw that Spenta had offered her to look at. The markings were real and were his fur, they were not paint. She could tell as there was nothing that matted the fur where the markings were and the hair seemed consistent in color the whole way down to the root. It was fascinating.
Kizuka couldn't help as her ears and nose flustered slightly. He was right in all regards, it was dangerous for her to be out and about on her own, especially given her position, but she couldn't help it. She had always wanted to be a bigger part of her pride than just an Umbikezeli, even if it was a respected and well off position.
"It is. I admit it I am foolish to come all this way on my own without a guard, but I simply wanted to be a bigger part of my pride's future, than simply sitting in a temple all day." Kizuka looked at Spenta in his eyes, "I suppose I should not worry now, though. Your presence is comforting, Spenta Mainyu. I feel you will not hurt me."

"A twin?" He lowered his paw back to the ground once she was done examining him. "I have a twin, as well, though we are not identical as you and your twin must be." A frown drew his muzzle up, "And he is not a kind lion; be wary if you catch sight of a blood-red lion with markings similar to mine. He will bring you much strife."
Was it possible to be captivated by a stranger? It must be. Spen had never been so entranced by a female before; these feelings were new to him. He wasn't sure how to proceed. "I would never hurt you, Kizuka'nafsi, and I know how you hunger to be more than what you are," he murmured softly to her, "I have often felt that I was meant for a greater destiny than this life has offered me." A grin was offered to her, a personable gesture, along with a change of topic, "I would be happy to escort you closer to your pride lands if you would have me along, and if not to your homelands, then allow me to protect you on whatever travels you are on."

Kizuka would keep Spenta's warning in mind. She did not need complications from the blood-red lion Spenta referred to as his brother. She never knew siblings would be such opposites of each other. Sure Fasihi and Kizuka had their differences, but nothing so dramatic.
Kizuka returned Spenta's smile, though her was much larger, "I would be honored if you escorted me towards my home. They are probably worried about me. You should come stay for a few days, Spenta. We have plenty of food, and I'm sure you would appreciate the rest."
Kizuka hoped that Spenta would join her, at least for a few days. She wanted to know more about him, and if he stayed with her than there would be no chance that the two would run into Spenta's brother, which by the sound of it, he would greatly enjoy.

The promise of food and rest appealed to Spenta more than he could convey. He rose to his feet and smiled engagingly at Kizuka, "I would hate to impose, but I won't refuse your offer. A few days of peaceful rest and relaxation sounds too good to turn down." He shook a few bits of debris from his coat with a satisfying grunt and then looked back towards his newly acquired traveling companion.
"Lead on when you are ready, Kizuka." He gave pause for a moment, a thoughtful look on his face. "I hope to see you after we arrive at your home. Perhaps we could spend more time together?"

"I would very much like that Spenta," Kizuka said, a little flutter in her chest erupting, and a blush spreading on her nose and ears. She figured this is what her mother meant when she said that some males were like a drug to you.
She turned towards the east horizon and led Spent off in the direction of her pride. It would take them a couple of hours to reach it, but once there they would be able to eat and rest to their fill. And perhaps later they could spend the time together they both seemed to want.

Spen walked alongside Kizuka, their shoulders bumping together at times. He was pleased to have been blessed with such a lioness for company; it had been a long time since he had enjoyed the company of a lion other than his brother, and Kizuka was a breath of the sweetest, freshest air.
Anticipation roiled in Spen's chest and he fell silent, speaking a few words here and there as they traveled. He allowed himself to enjoy her presence and felt no need for words. Spenta couldn't wait for a full stomach, a rested mind and continued companionship with Kizuka -- at least until he had to leave again; though he and his brother never saw eye to eye, Spenta had a strange, perverse NEED to see his brother.
