User ImageThe dawn was slowly approaching, creeping like a lion stalks his prey to create a vast world filled with lava-red thick colors and strips of yellows. His pelt was changed by no means, it seemed to swallow shadows and he feared nothing, eye's always wide, almost seeming unblinking and body so built that if fat had inhabited there it'd be a 5 star hotel. The sweet scent of decay rose around him, a downfall most days, others he was a ladies man. He shrugged them off one by one, he often heard of families he had left behind, ones he barely realized existed, one night stands he'd turned lifetime commitment for some. He was fertile beast, vicious and dominant, cubs here and there shocked him very little.

Today he was content with juggling about some small animals, he breathed in deep, none of them were dead yet, but just about. He tore at them slowly before his game, claws making tiny incisions, he could've been a healer had he not gone mad. "Now, now my pets, no whining.. Oh, are you in pain?" He set down a small mouse, his prize for the moment, it had studiously kept his whimpers to a dull cry compared to the others, aware of the situation, but when it was just left to him to survive he was a goner.

"Now, now.." he growled, his throat widening slowly, claws dripping with saliva, his stomach grumbled before his growl could deepen and hit the area with a rancid smell. Simply decay. "Don't you move little guy, Daddy's gonna make it go.. away!" His voice got deep, almost melodic and with a single claw and swipe the mouses head was cut, cleanly.

His fun, thus diminished to nothing in a matter of not even a morning, now relied on finding his brother, finding something else to talk to, destroy, infiltrate. So on and so forth, even in his older age he got bored fast.

Spen loved the early morning. He had grown to look forward to the way the sky transitioned from black to purple, from purple to pink, from pink to blue. It was stunningly peaceful and quiet. It was almost too peaceful and quiet. Spenta had learned to cherish these times when he could. He never knew when his brother might shatter such blissful tranquility. It seemed that threatening Spen's sanity was something Angra took great pleasure in.

Today he was seeking out a leopardess he'd taken a liking to. Asha was not only pleasing to look at but she was a secret he'd been able to keep from his brother. This was a rare instance, finding a female that he could spend time with, one his brother hadn't tarnished.

Spenta made his way to where he'd seen Asha previously. He hoped she'd find him; in fact, he was counting on it. She was so easy to converse with. Her very presence seemed to soothe Spenta's soul, which was something Spen often needed. Now all Spen needed to do was keep her a secret. His sweet little secret.

[[Banner to come later ;D]]

The morning was beautiful - it always way - golden-brown eyes glowed with the morning light, and a small shift of the body told of her wakefulness and alert. White ears would simply flick - listening to the call of birds and the scurrying of little meerkats as they foraged.

Asha gave a small smile as she thought back to the previous days. It was not often a leopardess managed to have company at all. She stretched and continued her thoughts on the white lion with a heart on his hip.

He was... kind, for lack of better term so early in the morning. Her mind was not fully awake.

Only then did she hear footsteps. She knew that Spenta would be around, thus not moving too far from her original place. "Spenta...?" She called out softly, hoping to gain his attention without moving too far.

"Brother, oh brother." He mumured gruffly, voice ragged and destructive to ear drums of it's own accord. Where could his brother be? He knew of only a few spots, but the goof was no where to be seen. Angra grumbled boredly and stomped on a passing bug, his smiled fondly at the feel of teh crunch beneath the pads of his paws, the juices from the bug spread through the fur he had grown there and he paused fora minute to relax then moved on. His nose hoisted in the air searching, searching...

"There he is. He can't hide for long, but whats this." He paused, a new smell mixed into the air, a sweet aroma. "A girl?" Hissed Angra between closed teeth. His brother hadn't been around a girl in some time and Angra plotted on ruining such a great occasion. He followed the scents, trailed them like he was hunting a wandering corpse to be. He did not intend on taking the girl away behind his brothers back. Instead he was going to do it in front of him.

His eye's narrowed, the glue hue almost disappearing behind his deep red lids, he had spotted the female, her voice had just finished calling 'Spenta', he saw her close her mouth, making sure he was down wind his mind made up, he would camp here a while.

Spen heard Asha call out his name, her tones carrying to him in the early morning hours. Ears perked towards her general location as he moved towards her. He was glad she was here, glad she had made her presence known.

"Asha," he trilled, his voice almost lyrical. "Good morning." Spenta moved to rest near the female. Not too near, he sat back on his haunches a respectable distance from her. It was the gentlemanly thing to do, in all honesty. He refused to crowd her personal space. No, that was something Angra would do. Spenny was nothing but polite. It was really the only way he knew to act.

"How do you fare this morning?" Spenta asked, ruby red gaze targeted on the leopardess. "I hope all is well. Have you eaten yet this morning, Asha?" Perhaps she would enjoy hunting together, and if not, he would bring something to her.

Asha didn't move from her spot as the white detailed lion came into view, and she smile at him. "Good Morning," She responding kindly in turn. She stretched forward, making the gap between them smaller.

She was content to stay where she was for the time being, after all.

"I'm going quite fine, Spenta," she gave a nod to affirm her spoken words. "And yourself?" She swished her tail against a stray fly that decided to wander towards her. She hated flies.

"I've not eaten. I only just woke up," she gave him a teasing smile. "Have you? We could hunt together?" She questioned softly, hoping they would be able to.

Asha enjoyed a good hunt.

Angra has his mind all made up, his plan would go into action once the pair left. He knew for a fact that Spenta had eaten a little this morning, but would never pass up an offer with a female, plus he needed some fattening up! Angra laughed in his head quietly to that thought.

He continued to watch their transaction of chatter, calculating Asha's personality, seeing what she wanted in a male and unfortunately that was his brother, by the way she gazed at him. No matter how putrid, Angra would start acting like his brother to win this over, of course with his own little charm included.

Spen purred softly. "Of course, I would be happy to hunt with you. It is, after all, easier when you aren't alone." It wouldn't be difficult at all for the two of them to bring down a young gazelle or even an older, weaker one. They would have full bellies in no time.

"I am doing fine, Asha," Spen continued conversationally, waiting for Asha to indicate she was ready to hunt. "It was a cool night and I am feeling very well rested, and now I am here with you. I would say I'm feeling quite content." His tail flicked; the male was completely at ease, and completely unaware of what lurked in the shadows.

Asha stretched forward again, rolling her body to push up. A small yawn pulled from her throat before she could hold it back. Shaking her head, she muttered an apology.

Despite being awake for a bit, she would still often yawn. "We could go now? Grazing herds are not hard to come by in the early morning.

The mostly white female, looking plain against Spenta, gave a small smile to the male as she steadied herself, ears listening for sounds associated with herds, but letting her gold eyes remain on Spenta.

She was up, how gracefully she moved almost forced Angra out of his bushes and rob her right there. "All in due time.." He whispered to himself slyly and in a laying down position he yawned, knowing he needed some form of sleep at some point. "All in due time.." He repeated towards his mind wanting to sleep. He was quiet and still had all eye's on Spenta and his disgusting friend.

"What is this world coming too?" He said, laughing in his head.
