On April 5, 2004, the SciFi Channel released a press release stating a listing of new shows and movies in development for the future, one of which was Witch Hunter Robin. The press release describes the show in development as "Based on a Japanese anime, this series follows a group of trained cops that seek to capture witches. One of the newest cops, Robin, is secretly a witch herself and uses her powers to track down the evildoers." This show will be live action and the executive producers are Roy Lee and Doug Davison who are credited in the press release as being the producers for the movie The Ring. No premiere date was given. In December 2005, it was revealed that the live action version developed by Sci-Fi has been dropped from production.

I wish I would have heard this sooner. I'd be ecstatic about a live action WHR. whee Too bad they dropped it though.. (We should start a petition ninja )

*nod* I was upset when this didn't follow through, either.

It was exactly like the rumor of a second season of WHR. But it was just rumor.
This was actually supposed to happen... but no... course not... =_=

That kinda sucks... I think WHR would be pretty cool as a live action show. Of course, I don't see it working as well if it's a North American production... they might screw it up.

And I don't think I'd want to trust the guys who produced The Ring either...

that would have been cool to see though, who they got to play who and to see how badly it was done, or wonderfuly. i think, in stead of live action, that we should try and get the creaters to make another season. 3nodding totaly cool cool

Black hair and he would just about do it--his hair is this really dark brown.
But he's all old now...like 36. But still very good looking. He was the first male supermodel. Not really a surprise for Amon. XD

i am only disturbed because it was by people who worked on the ring so the witches would be far to creepy probably...but other then that it really is a shame....i wonder if they would have taken it past the anime...(of course robin and amon would have survived but whatever)

as cool as a live action would be I'm glad its not sly lie droped it. That station has gone down hill since the cancelation of Farscape. With the rare aception of a few good shows, aka Threashold and Eurika most of their new stuff is just dren.

I shudder to think what sly lie would have done if they had made a real life WHR, most likely turn Robin into fan service girl from hell for one, **shudders**
