Our high school jazz band was performing at the local park and it was SO hot outside that our black folders were melting. Long sleeved black shirts, long black pants, blowing until we couldn't breathe, and our folders were MELTING!?!?! OMG Never doing that again. lol

Oh wow. >.o That sucks.
The hottest thing I remember is during marching band freshman year, we had a heat wave of 100+ degree weather. We had a home game for the first game, too. It was the only game I remember that we actually got to take off our jackets during the game. O_O;
Naturally, marching season's super hot too (it's usually 90-100 degree weather until late October, blah).

The thing I hated was when football season was around and we had to perform at the football games. 20 degrees playing our instruments until 11 o'clock. That always pissed me off but now I miss it. I should make a check list
Gloves a** pillow (metal bleachers lol) two jackets two socks Hat or jacket with a hood.
I'll remember it this year. LOL Wish me luck. haha

Tell me about it. Bring a lot of paper clips! Paper clips saved me from getting my music blown to the other side of the park. lol I used a cell phone and a nine volt battery, along with about 7 paper clips to hold up the three sheets of music. Maybe that'll help.
Don't ask about the battery. My friend had it in his pocket. lol

We used to have to play outside a lot in high school. Once we even marched a show in the rain!
Most fun was when it was cold and we had to sit there on the sidelines keeping air going through the instruments so they didn't go flat. Fortunately in college most of the games are in an indoor football field, though there's usually at least one away game we play at. The one last year was at least an hour's drive away, and we had to get up at about 5:30 am to get there on time. We got there and it was hot and sunny, and I think I had an ear get sunburned.
Practices in high school were outside too, since the games were always outside. Fortunately I don't think we ever had to try marching while it was snowing.

Parades are the worst. My city holds an annual parade in April. The route is about 4 miles long. It doesn't help that the crowd is rude, always demanding that we play during a drum break and holding up signs saying, "Only 20 miles to go!" It's always pretty hot out during this parade. There's never been much of a problem as we carry water bottles. However, this year we couldn't take them. Ugh.
