In order for his father to keep from calling him lazy Christian was up with the sun. That being said, he hadn't slept at all the previous night for it to be possible. As soon as the old goat was out of ear shot he had sought out the nearest shady patch for a long nap.
He dreamt of clear blue skies that went on for ages. Rolling green hills without a stone in sight and mountains that stretched into the heavens. Nothing was ever dark or dangerous in his dreams. Ever once in a while a black Kalona filly would pop up, but those were for the more adult only dreams.
While he slept, a single blue butterfly landed on his ear. A few minutes later it was followed by another on his rump, then another on his leg and soon he was all, but swamped in butterflies.

Parva stepped out briskly and elegantly with her little Ganesha for the morning walks she'd recently instigated, so they could explore the world together...and also so she could find out where he kept wandering off to. She didn't particularly mind his wanderlust; she was just a protective matar protecting and teaching her little one. That was all.Ganesha pranced next to his mother, his silver hooves barely touching the ground next to his matar's larger black hooves, his sunlit eyes dancing more childishly around the meadow that his mother's sapphire eyes scanned for danger. Looking around, he noticed a great mound covered in butterflies. "Matar! Look! Look at all the butterflies!" he whispered excitedly to his matar.Parva grinned. This was one of those things she loved about children: their wonder of the world and the way their young, inexperienced eyes made each day a new adventure. Her eyes followed his to the great mound and noted something his eyes didn't notice: the mound was shaped like a sleeping Soquili of large size and had a unicorn horn poking out of it. She laughed, a rarely elicited sound like little bells on a dancer's nimble feet. "I think you will find that there is someone under those butterflies, Ganesha," she said softly, so as not to disturb the butterflies and whoever was sleeping.Ganesha, however, being a clever foal who had yet to learn either wisdom or tact, had other ideas. Namely to see how close he could get before he startled all the butterflies into a flying, flowing, living stained glass window. Which inevitably didn't take long, butterflies being skittish, colts being klutzy, and Ganesha being more accustomed to being around Aer, who didn't fly away when he approached. And it had to be admitted that the effect was quite beautiful, even if the strong probability of awakening the perch of the butterflies wasn't one of Ganesha's better ideas.(matar = mother in Sanskrit; they may also use the word patar, which means father in Sanskrit)

Christian stirred out of his dreams with a jerk. He shook his head, flinging off the remaining butterfly and yawned. What a delicious dream. So free and beautiful and...red? From behind his veil of mane, lime green eyes blinked curiously. The colt was as red as blood with eyes the color of a full moon and the mare behind him was obviously his mother. He remembered her, from a dream of long ago~
The stallion slowly hobbled up onto his hooves with a yawn. "Am I missing something? Surely if he was mine you would have visited earlier."

(*Has died of laughter and ish bashing her head against the desk* xd Moose, Christian, ILU. <333333)
Parva blinked and only just managed to grab Ganesha's tail before he could respond to that remark. Sadly, the boy seemed to have something against fathers. It still didn't stop him from shooting off his mouth.
"You are NOT my patar! I have no patar!" Ganesha shouted, infuriated at the very suggestion of the idea that he could have a patar. Sure, his matar told him Poultry was his patar, but Ganesha opted to not believe her on that score. A patar looked after his mate and children, unlike Poultry, and if Ganesha had never had a patar, he never would have a patar. And he most certainly did not appreciate anyone for one fraction of a second thinking they might be his patar.
Parva jerked her son back to her by his tail and smiled apologetically at the great pinto unicorn. "I am sorry, Ganesha does not like anyone thinking they are his patar," she apologized. She cocked her head for a moment, and remembered where she'd seen him before, seeing how he'd seemed vaguely familiar. "I think we have met in passing once before, yes? Many, many moons ago."
Ganesha took the time to huff and fume. So this stallion thought he could get friendly with his matar? Well, Ganesha'd do something about that later. When his matar wasn't around. She definitely had not taken well to his little outburst around Richmon, who still freaked him out a bit; and so, to make sure this stallion didn't try anything on his matar, he'd have a word with this stallion...and he'd find a way to keep him quiet. So matar wouldn't find out. Matar would be so terribly upset if she found out he'd had a word with this stallion.

(ROFL. Your welcome. xD)
Christian rolled his mouth to the side. He wasn't impressed. After all that he was glad that the brat wasn't his spawn after all. Like a passing thought, he brushed the colt off intirely and focused on the mare. He stared...and stared...and stared before nodding. "Yes, we have. You talked about 'Kama Sutra' something."
Now he decided to turn his eyes down to Ganesha. He stepped closer in an unassuming way, but his hooves boomed none the less. "You're spirited. I respect that. But when I was your age I would have had my tongue ripped out for speaking that way." He smiled charmingly. "Of course, not saying it will happen to you. Your matar is too kind."

(Oooh, is that drool coming from Christian's mouth? >D)
Parva laughed shyly. "Yes, I do read that from time to time, and it does say interesting things," she said with a smile. She failed to notice the staring. After all, that thing with Poultry had been a wild night...and Richmon looked at her as a fellow stranger to these lands who was more lost than she...and the only other stallions or colts she knew were her three sons, Ludovic, Aves, and Ganesha, and they loved her very dearly and in a rather biased fashion. So she had no belief that there was any special reason to stare, let alone ogle.
Ganesha couldn't resist the baiting. He just modified it for his matar's hearing. "And I'm sure you were so meek you never did anything to cause trouble," he replied in a subtly sarcastic way. "After all, very few matars are as kind and loving as my matar." This last bit was said a bit smugly.

(Nah. xDD Thats just him trying to remember her name.)
Christian slowly lolled his head down to look at the yippy little colt. "Oh no." He replied bluntly. "I'm a bonofide hellion." Very few matars, indeed. His own had sold him to the wolves when it benefitted her most. Maybe one day he would pay her a visit...?
He shifted his weight around to shake out the sleep still dragging him down. Would it be rude to sleep in front of company? A problem, indeed...."I assume that you are what he says. It's terrible to be under false pretences."

(Ah. xd )
Parva laughed again, this time more robustly and cheerfully. "I do try to be how he says, a good mother to my little one. I am sure I do not always live up to his expectations and vision of me as his mother, but I do my very best, which is as much as one can do, and I do it with all of my heart."
Ganesha continued to suppress the urge to glare at the stallion and try to stare him down. The increasing feeling that his mother and this unworthy stallion were on friendly terms was like an itch he couldn't very well scratch in front of his matar, and he firmly desired to do in private at earliest convenience.

Christian smiled lightly and rolled his neck, stretching one leg out in the process as his neck snapped. Soooo good. Oh wait, now she was talking. "Stay like that," he said seriously. "Never change, even if you fall in love and you'll be just fine." Mothers were the pit of all evil, but women were just fine. Where the line was was very blurry to him. He just hoped the colt could tell.
"Can you fly?" He asked, straight faced no less, to Ganesha.

Gane tried to hide the glare he so wanted to direct at this stallion. "What? What do you mean, 'can I fly?' I don't have real wings, just wing markings," he responded, just within the bounds of civility. Oh, he was definitely going to do something about this stallion later. When his matar was happily preoccupied.
Parvati smiled at his advice c** compliment. "Thank you. I shall. I do strive to always follow my dharma in all that I do." She realized after a moment he might not know what dharma was. "Dharma is the sacred duty I have to follow my heart," she explained, simplifying as best she could for Christian.
