CitrineName: Citrine Casella
Rank: new trainer
Age: 17 (Started as 11) November 25, 1998
Gender: Female
Height: 4'7 5'1
Home: Areno region
(this is a totally made up region, largely a desert, and would basically be what I imagine pokemon Egypt would be)Languages: English (Fluently) Arabic (Fluently, but tends not to speak it unless she's upset)
Favored pokemon type(s): NORMAL because she hates ghosts... but raises lots of ghosts. Go figure.
Personality Profile: Citrine is a bouncy, bubbly girl who idolizes her mother who runs a daycare. She is very excitable and loves shiny things. Through and through, she is a girly girl. She's been afraid of ghosts since she was little.
She's a little self conscious about her appearance. She hates most of her features and looks almost nothing like her mother. She has an aquiline nose that she feels is too big and ugly (Though her mom calls it very aristocratic). She's short, like her mother, and while she sometimes enjoys having a petite frame, she is also towered over by most of her peers. Really, she can't win. She's fairly uncomfortable in her body (But she's a teen. She'll get over it.)
History: Citrine's mother runs a pokemon daycare in her home region. When she turned 11, a trainer's pokemon were found holding an egg, but they didn't wish to take it with them. So it was given to Citrine. She took care of the egg, keeping it warm and with her all the time, wondering what her first pokemon would be. She was excited. It hatched into a strange white Gastly.
Unfortunately, Citrine is afraid of ghosts and when she saw what her first pokemon hatched into, nearly had a heart attack. However, Nornsteen just wanted a hug. Citrine practically suffocated on it's gas cloud, making her more afraid of them then before. (Nornsteen didn't mean it, honest.)
Citrine's parents divorced before she was born. She has never met her father, and her mother never talked about him.
By definition, Citrine is a b*****d: she was born out of wedlock. The region she grew up in has very narrow views on this, and as such, she had difficulties making friends. b*****d children are seen as only slightly better then dirt by many, and children can be especially cruel. She did get picked on often simply because she doesn't have a dad. As a result, she was taken from public school and attended classes online. This allowed her to work with the pokemon at her mother's daycare, but left her a little socially inept. More then anything, now, she wants to make friends. Human friends. Pokemon are one thing, but it gets lonely. So she tries really hard to be friendly to everyone, and sometimes may try a little too hard to the point where she becomes an annoyance. She doesn't mean it, she just doesn't know to rein it in a little.
For the future: Like most kids, Citrine has hopes and dreams for the future. She used to just think she'd take over her mother's business, but that isn't what she really wants. At least, she doesn't think it is. Citrine feels that what she might really want is to be a great trainer, and eventually become at least a good gym leader. For now, she's going to start taking her training seriously, and hope for the best. In her eyes, the future is bright!
She lives each day thinking that "The me of today is doing her best to make sure the me of tomorrow will be happy."
