Idris sniffed about nubby little yellow tipped tail held high. He's wandered away from the pack for the sake of an adventure, he'd already seen everything thing. He wanted to see what was outside of the pack. Of course he didn't believe he would every really leave his pack with his mother and family, but the occassional get away wasn't so bad was it? Red eyes fixated on the groud and the strange new scents his mind was a blur of all the newness.

Kaikon had experienced more in his young life than he figured he would if he hadn't been in the pack he was. Managing to talk his mother into letting him wander, since his father wasn't around, he sniffed about before his hackles rose as a noise not too far off. Frowning at his already aggressive nature, he smoothed out his fur and padded towards the sound, tail still a little puffed up but nothing more to show how startled he was. he needed to be strong! He could take down whatever it was before him.. "Whose there?"

Looking up Idris' yellow tipped ears perked up as his head lifted. "Hmm?" he tilted his head and pushed forward. "Who's there?" he echoed back excitedly and he pushed forward. He hadn't expected to to run into another and by the sounds of it the other had to be about his age. He just barely spotted the other and pounced forward his entire hind end wriggling in excitement. "Hello!" he yipped.

As the other pup pounced forward, his entire body tensed and his upper lip twitch. he had to be aggressive--the pups in the pack with him were in a dog-eat-dog world along with him..but this pup didn't seem aggressive at all. His hackles rose again either way, and his ears folded back, head dropping like his father had taught him...easier to protect his throat, easier to go low if he had to fight--what was he thinking? "H-hi," he breathed, tail giving a small, unconscious wag. "I'm Kaikon.."

Red eyes glowing with excitement Idris grinned at Kaikon. "Hey there, I'm Idris." he wriggled. he's seen the other raise his hackles and he'd play fought before with the other pups in his pack but he never took it too seriously, it was all in fun. "You live around here?" he asked sniffed at the other and shifting back and forth on his paws in all his excitement. His first experience with a wolf from another pack, it was obvious by the scent of the other, and he wondered if Kaikon's pack was anything like Ignis.

"Uh--No," he wasn't that close, actually. He'd wandered much further than he should have...however, he didn't dare tell the whereabouts of his family's pack. His king would not be pleased. "Is there another pack around here?" He looked around, almost paranoid, as he slowly moved to sit down. "..are there any other wolves with you?" He didn't want an ambush or anything of the like..if it was one thing his mother told him, it was to not get caught in stupid situations that could have been avoided.

"Ooh you wandered away too then?" he asked plopping down heavily on his rump even though it still wriggled a bit with his enthusiasm. But as Kai asked about his own pack and the idea of others with him she shook his head firecely. "Nope, I'm all alone. I'm on an adventure!" he said triumphantly holding up his head with pride. "But I live up in the mountains with my family and my pack. There's a lot of us, but nope no one came with me." he nodded to himself and licked at his black nose.

A lot of them...hm. He narrowed his eyes for a moment before blinking them open, wide. "Adventure..?" Kaikon questioned, his tail giving a small wag at the idea. "I've...always wanted to go on an adventure," he admitted, ears going droopy, "But momma says...we have more important things to do than play 'those childish games.'

Idris stared at Kaikon in shock. "But...adventures are the best things ever!" he whined, feeling bad for the other. How could a parent say such a thing, adventures brought new horizons and ideas and experience. "Well come with me! We'll have an adventure together and you won't have to tell no one." he nodded his head furiously and stood back up. He'd be happy to share his adventure with the other. A new friend from someplace far away, what more could he have asked for?!

Blinking, he looked left..then right...then behind him. No one had followed..maybe. He looked back to Idris with a small, unsure smile then nodded slowly. The pup was so enthusiastic...Pushing himself to stand, he realized he didn't even know what to do. "How do you have an advanture?"

Snorting Idris bounded forward coming eye to eye with the other. "You just go and find something!" he growled and took off barking for Kai to follow him. He'd smelled something funny a little ways back and had promised himself he was going to explore it. "I smelled this funny this earlier in a big ol' hole and it was makin' a weird grunty noise and I wanna see what it is!" he pronounced like he had become the leader on an expedition.

As the pup got up in his face he bristeled, the fur along the back of his neck standing on end. He almost expected a bite to the muzzle or a paw to his face...but it didn't come. Instead, the pup bolted off...and he was off after him in a matter of seconds when he realized that he was supposed to follow. Catching up to him, he kept his tail high, ears perked, and nose at the ready. "Something in a hole..?" Kaikon questioned, glancing over to the other.

"Yup, it sounded big, maybe it's a monster." he said with a nod. He wasn't scared of monsters, if it was a monster he was gonna kill it and eat it and that was that. "Don't worry, I can take care of it if it is, nothing scares me." he said sniffing about for the hole, he knew it hadn't been too far back and then he caught the awful scent, oh was it a terrible stink, but he kept going regardless, monsters were supposed to stink, at least he thought so.

He snorted a bit. "I'm not scared, either!" he defended, frowning. He wasn't weak..he could take on whatever the world dished out for him! Hmph. Dropping his nose to the ground, he sniffed around a bit himself, trying to find a rather nasty smell...which he had yet to find, though there were traces of some rather...disgusting smells, even if they were very, very old. Huffing out a breath of air when he caught scent of something, he yanked his head up after a puff of dirt flew up from his muzzle. "Ew.."

Idris grinned back at Kai with smell swamping both of their noses "Nasty isn't it!?" he laughed wrinking his nose and following the scent as best as possible to it's source. Finally the hollow came into view, dug out into the side of a ditch of underbrush and dirt. "There it is!" he bounced up and down at the sight of the odd looking den that belonged the 'monster'. "How we gonna get it you think?" he asked sitting down and looking at Kaikon.

Following him to the weird dug-out den of sorts, he licked his muzzle and nose, trying to clear the scent from his senses--but it didn't work. "Hmmm.." He questioned, finally beginning to get into this adventure thing. Quickly, he made his way over to a tree where some pinecones had fallen. Plucking one up in his mouth, he waddled back over to the entrance, dropped the pinecone, and used his hind leg to kick it into the den--only to rush over and grab another to lure the creature out. "C'mon!"

Idris followed suit, Kaikon had some damn good ideas. "great idea!" he whispered to him and he picked up a cone himself and did the same dropping at the entrance and kicking it in, hearing a dull thump coming from inside and then something stirred making Idris dart forward and bared his teeth. "Come ya ol' monster!" he barked as the rusting continued inside.

Smiling proudly, he continued to toss the pinecones until the rustling started, he grabbed up one more and gave one final, hard kick--heading a dull thunk against something moving. "Got it!" He joined the pup, fur bristling and teeth bared. A rather obvious puppy-growl escaped him, one of his back feet kicking up dirt as he barked and growled at the unknown beast.

Idris watched a large furry thing make it way to the opening of the strange den, a large bow-legged creature with black fur and two off-white almost yellowish in color stripes down it's back adn tail. "What the hell is that?" he wondered aloud through his growling, he never seen anything like it before in his life. But the more the two of the barked at it the more agitated ti seemed to grow. Lunging forward and nipping at the creatures face if growled and hissed and turned itself around.

Something in him told him to run--especially when the creature moved to turn as if it was going to run...then didn't. Instead, the tail flicked in irritation and the creature huffed in warning. "Uh--" He bolted off to the side, grabbing the other pup by the scruff with his mouth to yank him along with him, getting out of the way of the creature for the time being.

As he was dragged away he heard the thing his again. "What the hell is it doing?" he asked, eyes wide. How the hell was it protecting itself turning around like that. It had to have been the strangest creature he'd ever seen in his life. The beady little black eyes on the creature looked back at them and hissed again and growled and stood it's ground at the front of the den as though daring them to try it again.

He thought he knew what it was--his mother had told stories of the forest creatures..about how they were dangerous, and to never turn your back on one. So why was this creature turning its back on them? Was it not scared? The hiss made his ears go back as he let the other pup go, fur bristling as a low growl escaped him. "I dont think we should bug it anymore--that smell.."

Idris sniffed a bit and felt the bile rise a little in his throat. "Yeah...maybe you're right..." he wrinkled his nose again and started to back away slowly. He had a bad feeling if they just turned and ran it would come after them or maybe worse, if that was possible. Menacing looking thing it was, but they'd had their adventure for sure.

Barking at the weird creature, he jumped when it hissed and turned tail to run. "Run away!" It was even bigger than them! How awful. He went against his mother's rule, but now he was sure was a good time to run. He didn't even look back, just tucked his tail and bolted for safety, which he hoped wasn't too terribly far from where they were.

Idris yipped as it turned again and bolted after Kaikon. "You just had to bark at it again didn't ya?" he laughed as he jumped clumsily over a branch. "Well you gotta admit it was still fun." he panted as he finally slowed down, feeling they had gotten far enough away from the creature.

"I thought it'd run away!" Really he just wanted to scare it away--his ego was currently broken from not being able to fight this creature. Panting, he slowed as the other pup did, moving to sit down with his legs askew. Looking up at Idris, he smiled and wagged his tail a bit, "That was fun.."

Idris sat down, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. "Well, it didn't run, I dunno what it was gonna do with it's butt though." he laughed flopping down and rolling over onto his back. "Too bad we can't do that again." he sighed. He knew he'd have to go back home before his mother and the others had figured out he'd wandered so far away, he was already pushing his luck and Kaikon lived in another pack. But maybe...just maybe they'd meet again.
