It was one of those random walkabouts where Quint had just stepped out of the door for no reason at all and had no real clue as to where he wanted to go or why or how. He just wanted out and he really didn't want company right now. He walked without caring too much if someone accidentally brushed against him though his jaw stubbornly clenched in anticipation and desire to bite the offender but he held himself back he was slowly forcing himself to control the instinct to lash out against trespassers of his precious personal bubble. After the day Kale had popped him on the nose Quint did anything and everything he could to avoid similar repeats because damn it that hurt!
It wasn't long that his stomach grumbled and when he looked up he found that he was in front of a candy store called 'Sweet Delicacies' and so he went on in. It was with the intent to shut up his rumbling gut. He gave a curt nod to the person behind the counter and then began to browse around the shop with a neutral expression.

Today Mrrh was out by himself, it wasn't that he wanted to be, but Kay had basically demanded he stay home while he and Roxy play. And with her scary a** brother left to oversee he decided he may as well go out and scout the town.
He wandered and decidd when he passed by a particular chocolate shoppe that he could duck inside and see about perhaps picking up a bribe treat for Roxy. Best way to a little girls heart was through candy. He came inside and was given strange looks but he didn't care as he only smiled and moved his way in deeper.
He noticed Quint and just by vauge recolection of conversation whilst he was a shrunken head knew who it was. He smiled, wondered if Quint knew of him and approached.
"Hello."

He was staring at a selection of caramels when the voice caught his attention. So enthralled he was that he didn't even recognize the familiar tingles of electromagnetic energy that informed him that someone was coming toward him and even more familiar of an individual composed of similar energies as him, his brother, and likely every curio he would ever meet since the discovery of this new skill. He reached up and scratched at his un-pierced eyebrow and turned to face the individual in question.
"Uh...hi?" Quint responded in a tone that was a little curious and held its general abrasive tone that he met anyone with. There was a pause as the Shark-boy stared at the figure and he began to recall a handful of things from when Kay was rambling about the other day.
It helped the boy's recollection that the person looked similar to his brother who had mentioned something about being uncomfortable around someone that looked like this then something about...A girl...somewhere...Okay so Quint's mind frittered in and out on occasion but there were key points that he remembered!
"..Uhh...Mrrh...?" he said tentatively for all he knew he had the wrong person.

Mrrh was impressed by Quint being able to get it right on the first try.
"Righto, " he stated with a smirk and then looked over the boy again gathering information in his head and then nodding as if knowing that this was most undoubtedly Quint.
"Quint right? I don't think we ever met personally, but Kay talked about you from time to time." He started with a shrug of his shoulders. Quint was already in his nuetral zone for liking as he had never used him in bowling.

Quint slowly nodded as he regarded Mrrh quietly with a bit of a furrowed brow before he turned to look at the Caramels. He wasn't sure how to deal with Mrrh but at least he wasn't a girl as far as the shark-boy knew. He tucked his hands into his pant pockets for the moment. It didn't help that Quint also had the social graces of a rock and not nearly as charismatic as most people he met. He just never felt the need to impress anyone or to slather on charm at least not right now.
"So...um...what brings you here?" he asked quietly as he turned and started to move on to a new selection of candies. Caramels seemed too much trouble especially for someone that had rows of pointed teeth. Quint wasn't sure what to do with this new person that had gotten his attention and apparently wanted it.

Mrrh watched and he smirked a bit turning to follow Quint's example by staring at the chocolates.
"Me? Oh...looking for a gift to bribe someone with. How about yourself?" He inquired giving a raised eyebrow looking at Quint from the corner of his blood red eyes.
"Why are you here? Caramels are a poor choice for you kid, why not try the cherry centers? Something soft," He chuckeled obviously sticking his nose in the others business.

Well, at least this person was being somewhat honest about their intentions. Quint was going to be just as honest, "Looking for something to snack on before I go home for dinner or whatever." He replied simply.
Quint's eyebrow gave a small twitch that signaled something bordering on annoyance, "Watch who you're calling a kid," he grumbled softly as he stopped at a set of candies that just so happened to have a softer center such as cherries. He stared at them his mood dropping a bit thanks to the other's need to call him a 'kid'. Just because he looked 'younger' didn't mean much in the long run. Plus he didn't like feeling as if he were somehow being belittled or patronized.
"Are you up to some sort of bullshit?" he asked bluntly, simply. He didn't mean anything by it as much as it was idle curiosity especially since his brother often claimed that Mrrh was 'up to something'.

OHO touchy. He found it rather humerous really, heck they were all kids weren't they? He found the boy's speech rather humerous as well. Dinner or something? That was new.
"Me? I never bullshit...though I am always up to something," he stated with an air of teasing as he looked over the candies again. He really was sure Roxy would adore the ones in the shape of stars. He'd get the cherry stuffed one for Kay because the inside looked like blood...and well he as an a*****e that way.
"You see there is a little girl I am trying to be friends with, but dear Kay thinks I have ill intentions towards her. How silly of him."

"Heh, always up to something, sounds like a lot of people," he replied simply as he poked at the glass in front of him and then moved on to a selection of saltwater taffy. Again not the best idea but he had no intention of buying anything just yet. He glanced over at Mrrh and raised an eyebrow, "What are your intentions if they aren't for anything bad?"
He wouldn't doubt if Kay spoke out of jealousy where Mrrh was concerned. He wouldn't doubt many things at this juncture.
He dismissed the saltwater taffy at the moment and moved on to a selection of soft gummies that were being sold which were in the shape of various fish, especially dolphins...Heh, dolphins think they are so great..

Mrrh laughed, it was a sincere laugh at least and not a mocking one.
"Oh I am always busy with loooots of people," He continued with a nod of his head, though the lots of people included him, Anon, Gera and Kay mostly. He figured that was plenty right?
"It has to be bad intentions to be intentions?" He inquired tapping his finger against his lower lip. "I'll take five cherry cordials and five of the star chocolates," he ordered as he noted the clerk glaring at them for merly window shopping thus far. "Oh can I also get one of those?" he asked pointing to what looked like a strange heart shaped chocolate. He then waited for his candies to be put together.
"The candies are a peace offering," he semi lied as it was mostly a test for Kay to see how he was dealing with his blood craving.

"Heh. Thanks for taking a minute out for me then," Quint retorted idly as he poked at the glass and listened as the other talked about intentions. He didn't really care what the person behind the counter thought of their window shopping as his pupil-less eyes gazed over at Mrrh for a long moment.
He tilted his head to the side and responded, "To hear some people tell it," he refused to name names but he was sure Mrrh knew who, "you shake hands with people with one hand while your other hand is behind your back with a poison dipped dagger so you can stab them." It was, naturally, a metaphor for betrayal.
Quint obviously wouldn't be trusting Mrrh anytime soon. He turned his attention back to the person behind the counter and waited, "Hope it works then."
When another person appeared to take his order Quint simply said, "Two pounds of the dolphin-shaped gummies," he had every intention of biting their heads off first as he ate them.

It was a fairly accurate guess on Quint's part, very very accurage guess, when it came to his intentions for Kay anyway. He onyl smiled as he paid for his own candies and then opened up the boxes they had neatly been put in and traded out a heart candy for one of the stars. Closing it all back up he then offered the star chocolate to Quint.
He was smiling, "Well you should only take what people say at face value then shouldn't you?" he stated as it was a good metaphor. you shouldn't always believe what others say...but that does include me.

Quint had paid for his purchase and soon had his bag of ill-fated gummies from the extra worker that had come to help out the first one and then found Mrrh offering him a candy from his own purchase. Quint paused a moment before he finally took it and put it into his bag, "Thanks, I guess..." There was a pause before he reached into the bag and offered Mrrh a couple of those goofy dolphin shaped gummies in return. Despite his brother disliking this figure he didn't feel any need to dislike them as well.
He didn't trust Mrrh but he didn't dislike him at the moment.
"I guess so. Doesn't mean I trust you any further than I can throw you," he said simply. It was the approach he took with many if not all people and not just Mrrh. Everyone was only trusted so far before Quint would close himself off to them.

Mrrh only laughed, even if he couldn't eat the gummies, he only drank fluids to keep himself hydrated, he could give them to Roxy. "You should meet Roxy sometime I think you'd like her," He stated with a nod of his head, completely ignoring the fact that quint basically told him out flat that he wasn't going to trust him. WHich was fine with him. He wasn't after Quint's trust after all.
Plucking the gummies he dropped them into his bag of chocolates and then smiled at Quint. "Tell Kay I said Hello," he stated with a vauge wave, "And that I've got a surprise for him."

"Mmm? Yeah sure," he said dismissively with a small shrug. He wasn't a very social person and to say if he would like someone or not would have been a very large gamble. He looked contemplative after he closed his bag after the exchange was made. The name seemed familiar, "Haven't had a chance to meet Rock-sea, yet."
Again he barely paid attention and it seemed as if he wasn't going to wait to be corrected.
"Sure. I'll tell him all that," he promised and lifted up a hand and waved, "don't get into any trouble you can't get out of." Quint said simply and wandered out of the shop.
