Name, Bovidae something-or-another; Angelic Donor, Diligence; Demonic Donor, Pride... Ary made no look whatsoever at the information, as she had only heard of how kids of diligence generally had loads of energy and that the pride demon talked a lot. So far she had been lucky in evading the talkative creature by hiding out in her room or being outside of the facility when she had a free day. Which, of course, was often as the requests for classes slowed down.
Ah, well, that just meant more time to relax and hide out in the various places that had the air conditioners cranked out at full blast to ward off the spring and coming heat spells. Oh how she HATED summer... The sound of strange clip-clopping footsteps brought the white-haired female out of her thoughts to look curiously at the door. She supposed he was on time, but ever since the clock on her wall had been destroyed in a fit of rage, she had lost almost all sense of time. Maybe she should look into getting a new one...

Bovidae had made sure that he was to get to his first melee class on time. It's best not to anger the person who's specialty is fighting, right? The room was found with ease, and Bovi walked into the room.
"Greetings Ms. Darsonix," he said with a smile, adjusting his hair to make sure it was all tightly pulled back and out of the way. He was wearing typical workout attire as he was not told specifically what the class would be teaching, and felt that this was his best bet.
"I'm Bovidae, but I am sure that you are more than likely aware of that. Please call me Bovi. I look forward to seeing what you plan on teaching me today," he said pleasantly.

Ary smirked slightly as Bovi walked in, dressed perfectly for the class and even being polite and pleasant. A nice change in pace from the usual greeting she got at home and from some of the techs that had to deal with her temper.
"Hey, and call me Ary. Easier to say, easier to remember. Now, what I plan on teaching you all depends on the style you want to learn. You see, the other classes you've taken sort of have a specific guideline to them. Fighting has many different forms so I generally let you pick," she explained, sounding a little bored during the little intro.
"Archery, sword fighting, knife throwing, wrestling, boxing, street fighting... All various things I can teach. Hell, I can even teach you how to sneak up behind someone and kill them before they could even blink if you so wanted," the female added, gesturing vaguely to her wall of weaponry that ranged from the simple to deadly. Just looking at them would make one squirm for fear of what their true use was. "Or perhaps you could let me decide..."

Bovi laughed lightly before wiggling a foot to examine it.
"I'm not a very good candidate for sneaking, I can say that right now," he said with a smile before putting on a serious face. He wasn't all that knowledgeable on different fighting styles.
"Well, I'm more quick then anything else. I'm good at running and jumping and other such things. Perhaps you can suggest something along those lines? I am ill versed in the different fighting and weapon styles, but that's one reason I'm coming to a professional like yourself," he said, with the last part being a slight bow in respect to his teacher.

Ary merely nodded, crossing her arms across her chest to ponder over the possibilities. He was quick on his feet which meant archery had little point if she wanted to fully use those assets in her lesson. Boxing was a little pointless in that area too, but kickboxing wasn't. Although, she wasn't sure she had the proper equipment for such a thing.
"Well, personally, there's only a couple things I can think of for you. One of which is sword fighting or fencing and the other is just plain old fist fighting. Either one appeal to you more?" she asked, already sizing him up for a sword if he chose that option. The option simply required possible ice bags or first aide objects, which were abundant within her desk.

Bovi thought over his options for a few moments, pondering on what he'd prefer to learn. Fist fighting didn't appeal to him very much, and he'd rather have at least some distance between him and his opponent. After a few moments of deep thought, he clapped his hands together and nodded.
"I think I'd like to give a go at fencing," he said with a nod. He knew what that was, and he had always been fond of rapiers, though usually the task was performed with fencing foils, but with Miss Ary one never knew.

Ary nodded, figuring as much. He acted proper, so the roughness of regular swordplay would be rather lost on him. Not to mention look insanely silly. "Normally you would have full padding, but I only have face masks and dull fencing foils, or those swords you use in fencing. Shouldn't kill you or anything..." she replied, smirking at the thought of actually managing to hurt someone with one. Grabbing the only pair of practice fencing foils and face masks, she tossed one of each to Bovi.
"Ever fenced before?" Ary asked, expertly flicking the fake sword around for a moment. She had to remember to brush up on this sort of things, lest she did something totally stupid and poked a kids eye out. At least Aden would have a grand old time reattaching it and rattle Vampy's cage.

Bovi caught both with ease, and he set the foil against his leg before placing on the mask, adjusting the strap so that it fit comfortably before picking up the foil again in his right hand.
"No, I have not," he said, turning his wrist so he could get a good look at the handle itself. "I have seen it performed here and there, though I'm sure that they were scripted fights..." he said before looking to his teacher again.

((Excuse my piss-poor fencing instructions. Youtube fails, as does google and every other search engine. >< Let’s just PRETEND what I’m making up on the spot is true or legal...))
“Good. Then you’ll know a little bit of what I talk about. First off, everything is off limits for attacking, point wise, except for the padded chest area. Since we don’t have most of the equipment, let’s just assume it’s the torso for now,” Ary started, trying to recall the vague lessons she gave so long ago. She severely hoped the kid didn’t actually go into something professional with fencing. She’d have a boatload to answer for, then.
“There are various names for attacks in several languages, as are defensive moves and the like. I hate to admit it, but I’ve forgotten most of them over the years. However, when attacking you’re basically lunging and when playing defense, parrying or counter-attacking. You counter-attack, generally, just as or before your opponent strikes,” she continued, frowning a little as she thought things through. Yeah... It all SOUNDED correct...

Bovi nodded at the instructions. "That makes sense," he said, giving the foil a quick swish just to see how it felt. He frowned slightly and readjusted his grip before performing the act again. There, that felt a bit better, though he wasn't sure if it was the correct way to hold it for what he was doing.
"Is there a certain way you need to grip the foil, if you don't mind me asking that is?" he queried, looking first to Ary and then to the hand gripping the handle.

“No, not really so long as you’re generally holding the handle in a way that has the sharp end pointed at your opponent and your hand doesn’t cramp up almost instantly, you’re alright,” Ary replied as she, too, adjusted her grip a bit and flicked the one end up to point at Bovi’s heart. “One more thing, only lunge when you think you can land a hit without getting hit and keep your distance to keep the other person from hitting you. Shall we begin?”

"I shall take that into consideration," he said with a smile and a nod, though the smile would be barely visible if at all. Fencing masks were like that.
He took a small step back before giving a quick bow. "Yes, let us begin." He extended the foil in a ready position and waited, wanting to see a few moves before attempting his own.

Ary returned the bow via a short nod of her head before returning to her previous position. “Begin,” she said just loud enough for Bovi to hear her without straining. Tapping her foil against Bovi’s to gently push it aside and away from her torso area, the teacher took a small step forward in a partial lunge. A sort of feint, if you will, as not a moment before reaching its destination the foil’s trajectory changed paths to aim not for his heart but his shoulder.’He had better block this,’ she thought, grimacing under her mask at the very idea of teaching simple and basic defensive moves.

The foil Bovi had connected with Ary's before he twisted his wrist to start to push the attacking foil aside, much like he had seen others do.
"Something like that?" he queried.

"Perfect. Just like that," Ary said, her foil completely missing Bovi like she had hoped it would. Moving to the side to evade any sort of lunge he would attempt, she pulled the foil back into a more defensive stance before trying it again. This time, however, she aimed at a different spot and went about her lunge in a slightly different manner.
