» BIO » Once he was merely considered to be one of the faceless lab coat wearing scientist in the employee of Umbrella Corp. whose job it was to assist William Birkin and Albert Wesker in the development of the legendary T-Virus. Not long before the fateful Raccoon City Outbreak, he abandoned Umbrella and stole the T and G viruses, hoping to use them to achieve great power and wealth. To that end he joined WilPharma, were he rose to the position of Head Researcher. It was during this time that he made backroom deals with a 3rd World military leader to sell the T-Virus on the black market for a great profit. His scheme however was foiled by the involvement of TerraSave member Claire Redfield and US agent Leon Kennedy. At last known whereabouts, Downing had been arrested and sentenced to jail. What became of him however in the aftermath of the destruction of TriCell is unknown.
