Split says: Eytucan had things on his mind that burned him. Eywa was still missing and he pondered if that was what was making the pride not thrive quiet yet. When she had disappeared a while ago, the warring began and the pride was destroyed. He hated to tie the fact their matron goddess was gone, to the smitted village.
1/3 says: Mahon had only returned recently to find her family, her very home torn and in ruin. If only she'd returned sooner she could have fought she would have died to protect her people.
But she was here now and there was no point in wishing otherwise. Perhaps she'd been part of some plan. She'd seen the other prides and how they lived. In some the females where such lowly wretches. In others it was the males who held no respect. Her people where one and stronger standing together. Far from despair, it filled her with hope.

Split: Eytucan had always been the very occupied and deep in thought one of the family. That was what made him a good chief he supposed. His sister, she followed well behind with her tact and her strength. Their brother, held same attributes. It was all their genetics he supposed. He lifted his head to see her approaching, his teal eyes alight with anxiety.
1/3: A smile tugged at the edges of her mouth but she refrained for fear that he'd take it as a sign of worry rather then joy.
"Good evening, brother. What is it that has you pacing about this evening?" Eytucan had been troubled clearly since... well since she'd returned! It was understandable but it still had her concerned.

Split says: Eytucan would not awnser her question because he knew she already knew the answer. Of course it had been. He was a nervous wreck lately, with the pride opening its arms to the world and to strangers, "Sister... You look well.' He said softly. He would have also included a bit about being blessed by their deity but... she was still missing. "What are you doing out?" He said, smiling. He was fond of his sister and had been sad to see her leave and now that she was home... he was so overjoyed.
1/3 says: "I'd say the same for you brother but you look like you've not stopped pacing since sun down yestersay," she said with a soft smile. "You should thank the goddess, wherever she may be, that through all of this change we've had such little trouble. The newcomers are peaceful... and respectful. There's a lot to give thanks for in that." She paused a long moment as she looked out through the trees, "Me, I'm returning from a hunter's gathering. They're hungry for a big hunt. I think they figure it will make it seem like everything's going back to the way it was... but I'm not sure it's a good idea to have so many so far from home for more then a day. Not yet. Although it pains me to ask yet more of you, brother. What are your thoughts on the matter?"

Split says: Eytucan could understand the wants of his tribe. Hunting was a ceremonial thing to them, just like everything else. Too long had they stayed within their sacred trees and feasted on mice. Too long had they sharpened their claws and fangs but had no reason to use them. Too long had they celebrated a kill and sang to Eywa for her gifts. He nodded. "Our hunters... I cannot blame them for wanting such a thing. We haven't had a normal day it seems. We have been adapting to our new comers and our survivors... have been adapting well."
He paused for a moment, in thought. "I suppose it would be a good moral booster for our hunters and huntresses... not to mention it would open up the eyes of our newest members of what we require in this tribe." 1/3 says: Ceremonial and comforting.
His answer though surprised her and she turned to him with a peased smile, "Would you allow me a week to choose the most promising of the newcomers to add to my hunting party and perhaps... three moons for the hunt?"

Split says: Eytucan was a good chief in many members eyes. He was good at making judgements and choosing when others had no idea what to say. He chuckled. "Yes. I think it would be a splendid idea. Just keep eyes and ears alert for danger my sister, we do not want to lose any newcomers before they can be brought before Eywa." He paused. "If she ever returns to us... i know she will... but I am anxious." He looked off. "Anxious to begin our ways the way they were... not so long ago."
1/3 says: She nodded solomnly. "Then may I ask for use of a messanger as well? If we won't be here to stand guard at the home tree we may as well make use of ourselves as scouts. If we see anything suspicious I'll send him flying home to you our hunters not far behind."
It was her only true fear. To leave and once again be too far away to be of any use should her family come under attack.

Split says: Eytucan smiled. His sister was smart. He was lucky to have her back. Their brother, was not so keen on helping out with such things. "A messenger would be a grand idea sister... I think that would be acceptable." He paused. "I will also run it by Zelt'zin and make sure she thinks that eywa will bless us and will not be an inconspicious time... but I see no reason why not. " He said with a soft smile. To be back to normal again, hopefully soon. Hopefully that would be very very soon.
1/3 says: "Yes, please do so. It would do well for the moral of our hunters to have Eywa's blessing for their journey. And worry not brother I do not believe any of them would second guess Zelt'zin even if she said the goddess wished us well," her tone clearly conveyed her pleasure. "If winds change before I am finished selecting my hunting party remember that they will be discouraged if Zelt'zin suggests that Eywa has been silent. They long for things to return to normal but they are still uneasy. Do not be afraid to use that if you must."

Split says: Eytucan nodded. "we all wish for Eywa's touch and her presence but we will make do without her if we must... we cannot just lay in waiting and hope for the best anymore... we have families to feed and... we have so much to look forward too..."I think our pride will greatly appreciate at least a good trip, even if no game is found. They need to get out... and see the stars from another vantage point."
1/3 says: "Only if you find the need to keep them home," she smiled. "I doubt very much that you'll be needing such a manipulative suggestion."
Her expression grew weary for a long moment, and then she smiled, lifting her head to look at him.
"Enough of such talk. We can not worry all day, can we? Tell me, brother, when was the last time you walked down to the water?"

Split says: Eytucan chuckled. "Long enough for my sister to suggest that I come along with her too the watering hole... unless that is too forward of me." He lifted himself from the ground and shook the dust from his black fur. He bobbed his head momentarily. "Let us go visit these waters I have failed to attend too."
1/3 says: "You are too hard on yourself," she grinned, giving him a playful nudge as they walked. "The stink isn't so bad and there's barely a claw length of dust on your shoulders."

Split says: Eytucan laughed aloud. "Oh really. Now sister... I think you may be getting to harsh with me!" He said, chuckling some more. He stepped up beside her and with a nod, started to head towards the water. "Smell... I'll give you a smell sister!"
1/3 says: She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, idly wondering if she should get ready to run.
"Oh? You will? And how would you go about that, brother?"
Split says: He just laughed. "I'll hide something in your sleeping nest... you just wait!" He added, before turning from her and sprinting towards the waters. (Fin)
