It was park day and Chase was one happy camper. He was sad that Imani had to stay home because her pets tore up about a weeks worth of newspaper and spred it all over the house, but Imani said she'd clean up after them, and oddly enough she really didn't seem to mind, so as long as she was happy, so was he.
Not only was today park day, but it was pirate day as well. He made sure to bring his 'pirate sword' that was made out of cardboard tubes and duct tape, and his trusty paper crown which he 'plundered from a king in far off seas'.
So now the boy was entertaining himself, growling off 'yars' and 'argh mateys' as he hopped from one place to another on one of those metal play sets. You know, the one's with so many slides and fireman poles and handle bars you don't know what to do first? Yeah, THAT was his ship, the great vessle FunTimes.
His sword swished about in the air. "Who wish to meet Cap'n Chase, scourge of the seven seas?!" he shouted into the air in his best pirate voice.

When Roxy had heard it was pirates day at the park she wanted to go...VERY BADLY. But Gera wouldn't take her, saying pirates were dangerous. So she convinced their new live in neighbor downstairs Mrrh to take her instead. Gera wasn't happy with this arrangement, but Roxy pointed out that Mrrh was older and thus better apt to make sure nothing bad happened.
So he relented and now dressed...as Roxy would always dress strangely even for her. She had a pirates eyepatch on though it was shaped like a heart and had jewels all encrusted into it. The rest of her outfit seemed to match similarly.
Mrrh held her on his shoulders, copying something Kay always did for her as well Gera. Why change it up? He was dressed inthe same clothes as he had arrived in, he said why change when he already looked like a pirate?
Holding onto his head she looked around her attention drawn instantly to the boy who was yelling in his pirate voice.
"OH ME ME!" She cried out waving a hand.

Chase grinned as he heard the answer to his question. He peered down through the railing to see that there were two pirate-y buccaneers down below. He placed his feet on the bottom horizontal rail so he could peek over the top bar.
"That be so, eh?" he said. He was getting better at this pirate voice thing. He then hopped of his perch, grabbed the first fireman's pole he could find and leaped off. It was an impressive maneuver, left foot braced on the bar, left hand clinging to the pole, so when he pushed off, he spun around the pole as he descended. Sadly, his landing wasn't as impressive, seeing as he jumped down he used his right hand as a brace, and somehow lost balance and sprawled out on his belly. He didn't miss a beat though, rolling onto his back and looking up at the two with a grin.
"Who be ye that want t'join Cap'n Chase on his vessel?" he asked.

Roxy watched him with an oooooo and an aaaaa as he impressively jumped onto the pole swung around and then landed on his belly. She giggeled unable to help herself and then peering over the the older boy's head to stare down at him.
"Me capin Chase! I want to get on the ...vessel!" she stated eagerly as she bounced on Mrrh's shoulders.
Mrrh himself laughed at Roxy's eagerness to play,
"Arh...me too Captian if you 'ave me." He joinedin playfully.

Chase blinked, but then shrugged off his confusion. His pirate accent must be a bit thick, so they must have misheard him. No harm done.
"O' course I'll 'ave ye both! Come aboard ya scallywags, and tell yer Cap'n yer names so I can know what t'be callin' me new crewmates!" he said as he hopped up to his feet and beckoned them aboard his ship before hopping on himself.
"Welcome to the ship known fondly to this Cap'n as FunTimes!"

Roxy was barely able to focus on his accent just finding herself far too ecited about everything to really focus! She lifted up her eyepatch so she could see him better, and really her depth perception was SOOOO off because of it.
She giggeled a large amount as he introduced the 'ship' as funtimes and she reached forward so she could grasp part of the jungle gym and slip herself off of Mrrh onto the 'deck'.
"Arrrrrh I be Mistwiss Wench Rrrrroooxy!" she stated proudly.
Mrrh had to hide an amused smile as the blonde proudly declared herself as a wench. He went to join the two on the kids playground equipment feeling already a bit too gangly for the size of it.
"I am deck swabber Mrrrrrrrh," Mrrh introduced himself with a flamboyant sweeping bow.

Chase giggled, performing a similar bow that Mrrh had given him.
"Pleased t'have ye all aboard!" he said with a tip of his piratey crown before hoisting himself higher on the play equipment.
"Now, let us set sail! There be royals to find and treasures to be plunderin'" he declared, thrusting his sword into the air, swishing it around a bit. "Raise the anchor, raise the sails! Let all the seas tremble before Cap'n Chase and his mighty crew, Roxy and Mrrh!"

Roxy bounced as she climbed 'aboard' going to stand before the boy who was Capin Chase to her now. She gave him a salute wondering who these Royals were and where this treasure was to be plundered.
When he stated to raise the sails she immediately went about, making a wild guess at where the sails where, and started to 'raise them' . Pumping her arms up and down acting like she was pulling on a rope.
Mrrh watched and laughed as he went to go and 'bring up' the anchor. Miming fun he was glad that the kid had imagination anyway. Once done his task he turned back to Chase.
"Arrh..what else Capin Chase?" he inquired though Roxy seemed to be getting carried away with 'raising her sails'.

Chase laughed, naturally at first, but quickly changing it into a deeper more Cap'ny sorta laugh.
"Good job crew!" he said with a grin. It was nice to play with kids that liked to play games like he did. He looked around, wondering what Mrrh could do next, you know, since he asked.
"Aye, Mrrh, ye be the tallest, so get as high as yer legs will let'cha and keep a lookout for other ships!" he said with a nod before looking to Roxy once she was done with the sails.
"Roxy'n I'll load the cannons to make sure we be ready in case our targets try'n fight back!" And with that he hopped here and skidded there before pretending to align cannons through the side rails.

Roxy felt a bit of pride, she got to have all the FUN tasks! SHe watched and then followd Chase like a second shadow as he moved back and forth working with the cannons she then saluted him again.
"Aye aye Capin!" She announced as she pictured where the best spot for the cannons to be and then hurried off in that direction. She mimed picking up a heavy cannon ball and moved it back and made sounds like creaking and clanging when she opened and put the ball into the cannon.
Mrrh ..who was already tall like Chase had noticed went up a couple steps, wanting to be included in the game but not nearly as rambuncous or into it as Roxy and Chase where. He scanned the area looking rather serious.
"Nothing yet Captian chase. Are we looking for Enemy ships? Or Ship to do bombared?"

"Our goal is t'find ships t'loot Mrrh. Every ship is an enemy ship when yer a pirate. No one takes kindly to we thievin sea vermin..." he said, looking as melodramatic as possible, which in turn wasn't very melodramatic at all.
"So keep an eye for th'Royal fleet and other pirate ships. Other pirates often already have lots o loot aboard, so they be prime targets." He then turned his attention to Roxy, because Chase was a good Cap'n and wanted to make sure everyone was having fun with the game.
"Good job with the cannons Roxy!" he said with a smile and a nod. "Now, what else need be doin while we wait for our first target..."

Mrrh was getting the idea he was suppose to be initiating the next round of interest in this game. So he made himself look vigilant before 'spotting' something to his right. It was the swings but he pointed at them anyway.
"Looks like we 'ave pirates on our right!" He announced, and then he looked to their left, "Oooooo enemy ships to the left too!" He continued pointing to the slide.
Roxy had been patiently waiting for her new instructions when suddenly Mrrh was speaking, bounding past Chase she went to lean across the bars to see the 'ships' Mrrh was speaking of.
"Aye Capin Chase! THEY BE COMING!" She confirmed.

"READY THE CANNONS!" Chase called out with a swish of his sword before heading to the left side were one line of 'cannons' were located.
"Roxy, you take the other side! Mrrh, you have the best view. Let us know when to fire!" he commanded, wiggling with pure excitement. Ok, he'd so have to play with these people again. It was hard to find someone that would play pirates so enthusiastically.
"We shall show them what a powerful crew can do!" he whooped, pumping his fist in the air before casting his gaze out twords the enemy ships.

Roxy was just happy to have someone closer to her age to play with, and he was so much fun and so imaginative! Such an interesting game to play.
"Aye aye Capin!" She announced as she went to go man her own 'cannon' and then began to load them and take 'aim'. "Fire in the hole!" She called out as she then went about making a KABOOM sound and a SPLISH sound when she apparently 'missed' her imaginary target.
"Uh oh, Captian it looks like the pirates have force sheilds.." Mrrh called out to clarify how Roxy had apparently missed her target.

"Well then! We must..." Chase started.
"Find some fellow pirates to play with, eh Chase?" came a voice. Chase looked over to see that it was his mom, R.J. He grinned and waved at her.
"Hiya Mama! You wanna be a pirate too?" he inquired, and R.J. chuckled.
"Actually, I was hoping to treat the pirate captain and his crew to a little something. Anybody in the mood for ice cream? The ice cream truck passes near hear around this time. My treat."
