I am indeed kind of punchy.
The goal of this guild is to provide learners and speakers of Japanese a place where they can get all the practice they like, at any level of fluency. We have more experienced members as well as newbies, so there's a place for everyone. No question is stupid, so don't be afraid to ask about anything you don't understand!

Hi, my name is Jodee,
I study Japanese on my own and in a evening course.
I often am traveling so I tend to use my laptop,
but because I'm not now I can't write in Japanese.

はじめまして。
僕の名前はバーダイですが、アイかバッディのニックネームもあります。
二十歳でアメリカのモンタナ人です。そろそろ大学３年生になります。 日本語は自習で４年間で、大学で２年間勉強しました。なお、北海道でアシスタント教師として小学生に英語を教えています。
しゅみは絵を描くことです。映画も音楽も大好きです。
一年間日本で住んでいて、よく話していますが、ちゃんと文法を使って、文書を書くのがあまりしませんなので、まだしっぱいをよくしてしまいます。僕の間違いを見ると、直していただきたいです。
後は… 質問とか僕と話たいと、いつでもメールして、ね。

I am a twenty year old Montanan (from America). Pretty soon I will become a junior in college. I studied Japanese on my own for four years and in college for two years. I am currently teaching elementary school students English as an assistant teacher in Hokkaido.
My hobby is drawing. I love movies and music, too.
I've been living in Japan and speaking often, but I don't often use grammar and write sentences, so I am still making many mistakes. If you see my mistakes, I'd be pleased to have you fix them.

I love Japanese, but the little fonts+kanji = killing my eyes.
This sums up my skill in Japanese: "Kyou e uchi no haha wo aimashita. bangohan ha chuugoku ryouri wo tabemashita. gohan ga suki, atsui to yasui desu."
I know about 70 kanji by sight, but, can only replicate about 10 by hand. I have lousy penmanship, made all the more worse with unfamiliar characters.
