Duchy
"Irazoki Duchy" is a designation for an area of land within the massive netherworld known as the abyss. Though comparatively small compared to the world it exists within, it is large enough to support a massive farm-styled apiary, coffee farm, and formidable castle.
As per its name, the duchy is led by one assuming the role of "duchess." The title is passed from mother to daughter. The heir may be chosen at any time, but outside of emergency situations will only succeed upon reaching a certain age and after training for the responsibilities of the role in question.
Irazoki's primary export is honey. The bees that provide said export are of a massive size, comparable to that of livestock with an intelligence level in the same range as a domestic dog. The swarm is well-tended to and as a whole quite obedient. The individuals of the hive build their honeycombs within the large buildings across the farm that have been built especially for this purpose.
The coffee farm is a more recent addition to Irazoki but has already been bringing in a consideration amount of profit as well. The climate of both hot and humid present in the abyss has caused the plants to mutate in manners to both provide a crop with a greater yield and its own unusual taste properties.
