Hidden Belltower

Description: Ever wonder what waits beyond the thick line of monsterous trees at the far north side of Ria? Those who do, and try to find out, often get quite a scare. Outside the clearing, it might be a pleasant, sunny day. But as soon as you pass through the thicket, all natural lights immediately go out. If you can find your way to the end of the grove (few do), you discover a large, tree-free patch of grass. And in the center of it stands a very tall tower constructed by black bricks, now covered in sickly green moss and rotting vines. You cannot understand how such a structure could not be spotted from the other side of the trees. But what is most strange about this place is that it appears to be midnight, and a bright full moon is shining in the sky above you, even though it was noon before you entered the trees. What most people don't know is that, in this section of the wood, it is forever, endlessly, night.
On one part of the tower, there is a small, crumbling door. It leads to the hollow center of the building, where there is a winding, stone staircase ascending to the very last (only, really) level. At the top, you emerge from a wooden trap door in the floor to find that you are outdoors again, underneath a triangular roof with many broken shingles, held up by four posts attached to the circular edges that end as short walls. In the middle of the roof, a silver bell hangs, with its coarse ringing rope falling down to coil itself on the floor beside the trap door. If you pull the rope, like a bellringer might do, it creates a horrid sound, very unlike that of any normal bell. It is much like a banshee singing...
How or why this belltower is here: no one knows. But for a long time the clearing has been off-limits to all students. Terrible things have occured there in the past, and the teachers would like to have them remain in the past. Though, recently, the tower has been left...forgotten...

Joy had been tyring to locate her dear pet syberthooth Giddy, when she came across this mess of a forest. Peeking through the gaps of prickly bushes and dead twisting trees. The bark almost resemble screaming faces, as if some tortured soul was trying to escaped its grasp.

Darkness, pure utter darkness layed ahead. Joy tapped her pouting bottom lip pondering in her mind if she should check it out. maybe Giddy is tyring to play hide and seek with Joy!!Hee hee!!Joy will win then!! Punching the air above her enthusatically she practically dove in. Ignoring the many scratches that were sprouting on her flawless tanned skin, she kept on going.

It seemed like time had stopped as Joy tried her best not to get her extremely long green hair get caught in branches and being tangeled beyond belief. Holding her yellow cat tail Joy saw her way through the forest somehow to come across a small grass clearing.

Sighing with relief having gotten through the madness Joy noticed that it was nigth time, the only source of light being a beautiful glisting full moon. The soft moonlight coming down on Joy,making her long green hair, still smooth and silky, shine up as if diamonds in the rough.

Joy looked up at the moon and as always she became memorized it,the world passing her by without a care as she stared up in the moon. Her big brigth eyes reflecting the image above her,a yearning look tkaing her breath taking face. She pulled herself away to notice that a tall tower stood not so far away. Going towards it she realized it was a belltower.

Usually Joy would of been overjoyed for having found a new location of Ria high, but there was a pang in her heart as she gripped it tightly with a clawed hand,as if a great pain was shattering her heart into little pieces. "Joy feels..a great sadness here, its not Joys...its..its.." Looking up at the the tall bell tower, the wind blew her long green hair ,streamers in the nigth sky. what has happened here..to create this woe?

Sakuya moved in and out of the shadows at the top. The silver bell was her only friend. Had been her only friend in this entire place. A tear trickled down her cheek as she carressed it. Her cuts were still there from the power she had used earlier. But it didn't matter now. Here was peice for her. THere was no darkness lurking in her mind here. She wasn't sure if the place took in her sorrow and her past but she felt safe here. Besides, this was where she had woken up on that long ago day that she awoken with no memories. All she remembered then was the clearing being filled with blood and screams. SHe shivered slightly. SHe hadn't belonged then. She hadn't understood the different things then. Cars, phones, electricity. She hadn't known what they were or how they worked. Some people had taken her and placed her in a place where they taught her but Sakuya had been out of place. It was as though she'd come from another time. From far in the past. FOr a moment, a memory returned to her. woman who had dark green hair, like herself, and a man with dark blue eyes. Like her own eyes. Her parents. They were in the clearing with otehrs and celebrating something. Then suddenly, she saw another memory. One that always plagued her. Blood, screams, fear. All around in the clearing. Men. Awful men that wanted them dead. A full moon shining on her. Sakuya moaned softly and fell to her knees, falling against the bell. It swung and a ring blasted from it. Sakuya screamed. THe bell was ringing in her memories. Signaling death. Destruction. "No!" Sakuya grabbed her head and sobbed. "Mama....Daddy...." A sharp sword coming toward her and then nothing but black. Sakuya wept as the memory faded back into her mind.

Joy cat ears twiched ever so slightly, most would of screamed as well. That bell,it would strike your very core with utter terror and dispair, but Joy seemed imune to it. Noticing a different scent in the air,her keen nose having picked it up,she located where it was coming from.

Shaking her head to wake up form the dreamlike state she had been,Joy bent low for a second, gearing up her extremely strong leg muscles and pushed off. Cutting through the air like a knief through fog she went higher then the actual tower. As gravity took its toll on the neko she landed gracefully like a dancer on the balcony of the tower.

Joy looked down on the sobbing girl, the saltiness of tears filled the air. Dropping to her knees as well as her hair spilled around the two of them,Joy fingertips touched the girls head gently. A pained look took her face, and her eyes softened with grief.

"Ohh my,it seems like you didn't go a good job on erasing them all...did you?Shall Joy take them all away?Your memories..Joy has had much practice on it. Would that make you happy? What can Joy do to make you happy?" Taking the girl into her arms,as if to hug away the pain. Her eyes closed. how many times has Joy erased her memories..in hopes of never remembering what Joy has done, what Joy is....? For this little neko, embracing a total stranger has proubly suffered the most horrible past that Ria High has seen, she still worried about others happiness.

"Its okay,Joy understands..its okay..its okay...cry away the pain.."

((if y'all want to know kinda how 'Mitri started out, this is a sort of continuation of the first and only post i've done in the boy's dorm section. also, i will warn you as i have warned others: when Dimitri speaks, since he has a Russian accent, his w's become v's and his th's become z's. it's kinda confusing to read, but i'm sure you'll get the hang of it when you start noticing frequently altered words. but if it's typed with bracketts (sp?) around it (Ex: "[...]"), then that indicates that he is speaking Russian. which he might do while he is alone. like now, for instance...))

"[Oh--]" his curse was cut off by the loud smack that signaled one of his heavy suitcases slamming against the floor. "[He sent the wrong frickin' luggage!]"
Yeah, didn't his father say something about giving him only half to take with him today, and the rest would come tomorrow? Now he remembered. Not when he could have asked what was in the first half, when it would have helped. No. Of course not. Now he remembered.
And what was in the first half, might you be asking? None other than his drag clothing.
"[Damnit!]" he swore loudly. Perhaps a little too loudly, but who cares? Those passing by the room wouldn't understand him. If they did, well...they're just special, aren't they?
"[But I didn't want them to know this side of me! Ugh, now what do I do?!]" It's true, he had been wanting to start over. He hadn't wished for them to know his fetish...or his orientation, for that matter.
Dimitri lifted a green plaid, pleated skirt from the neatly folded pile (the maids sure did a great job packing everything). Beneath that was a black, fishnet, long-sleeved shirt and the equally dark tank top to match, meant to be worn under it. Sighing, he decided that would have to do. Oh, maybe if he added in his favorite boots. And perhaps a bit of his more gothic make-up...

Adjusting his skin-colored stockings and still lacing his combat boots, Dimitri dashed down the stairs. As all of his old friends always said, if he had the breasts, anyone he'd pass by would mistake him for a girl. Especially dressed this way. He impersonated a flat-chested female quite well.
Once outside, he had to shield his eyes from the harsh sunlight with his arm. He needed to find shade! He hated standing in the open when the ball of fire was high in the sky! Though, after considering it, he realized he was already ghastly pale, so a little sun couldn't really hurt...
Still, he made quick work of finding a patch of trees. But what looked like only a patch while it was on the horizon soon turned into almost a forest as he neared it. Nonetheless, he ducked into the welcoming black abyss. Farther back grew darker yet, so he continued on, hoping to find a place alone. Neither a student, nor a teacher, nor even a maid or butler spotted him along the way. He planned to keep it that way--he did not want any of them to see him until he received his regular clothes tomorrow.
It was a rough path, but he finally made it into the clearing. And it was...nighttime? What the hell? Hadn't it just been afternoon a few minutes ago? Though...come to think of it...he much more enjoyed this setting, what with the full moon shining down on him.
Dimitri crossed the expanse of dead grass, his eyes roving over the cracked, moss- and vine-covered stone of the tower. He choked, sputtered, then fell to his knees, laughing hysterically. This was what he had been wishing for--a place all his own, a place that appeared to be made for him. And he found it on his first day here! Why he found this funny, he would never, in his entire life, know.

((Moved because since the belltower is hidden in the forest and such, then its not really on Campus.))

Sakuya could do nothing as she felt the arms wrap around her. She heard the enticing words. Erasing her memories. It was a possibility she had neer dreamed of. Her tears stopped falling and soon she could look up. "I can't do that." Her voice was hoarse and soft. "I can't erase it. No matter what. I need it there." Sakuya took a deep breath. "It's all I have of my past. Doesn't matter whether it is good or bad. I have to keep it." Sakuya rested a few more minutes and then sat back, pulling from the girl's arms. "That memory and maybe one or two others are all I have of my past. I can't remember anything else. I woke on the ground by the door. It had felt as though I'd been sleeping a long time. All I remembered was what I thought my death. But I had no cuts. Nothing. There was a large briar surrounding this then. Nothing could get out or in. I managed to get rid of it but the forest wanted this hidden. This place is my past and it cannot be healed until I remember." Sakuya looked at the girl sadly. She was a few years younger to her own 19. "I'm Sakuya."

Kira looked at the forest with curiosity. It seemed to be that something was luring her into it and she was not quite sure what. She took a step into the thicket and was shocked when there was no light. "Hmmm..." she thought to herslef quietly. "I wonder what's just beyond this thick covering of thicket." She pushed her way through the thicket to reveal the tower. She tilted her head sideways as she observed it. "How strange? This is the most interesting thing I've seen since I arrived here. I wonder if anyone's in there." She pondered that thought for a moment then shrugged it off. She quickly sat down next to a tree so she could observe it for a more lengthly period of time. She hummed a familiar tune while she observed each crack, brick, and vine.

Dimitri's laughter ceased and he felt a shiver run up his spine as he heard the crunching of leaves behind him. Slowly turning around, he stood as he rotated, casting his eyes about to find the source of the noise. Suddenly, he wasn't so overjoyed at discovering this secret spot...
But when he realized that it was just a school girl--one of the students of Ria--sitting underneath a nearby tree, he relaxed once more. The feeling did not last long, though--till he recalled what he was wearing. With a little squeek, he scurried to the opposite side of the tower, slipping and tripping along the way.

She was taken out of her trance while staring at the tower by faint squeak. "Hello?" she said in a slightly shy voice. She was getting creaped out by the fact that she had no idea what or who was there. She stood up carefully so she look around more and felt a shiver run down her spine. She had forgotten that she was holding a book and she let it slip out of her hand. When she heard it drop she yelped slightly and bent down to pick it up.

Taking deep breaths after his sudden, and quick, spurt of energy, Dimitri pressed his stomach up against the cold stone of the tower. While resting his hands against it, he sidled around a bit, but managed to keep himself relatively well-sheltered by the column. From his "hiding place," he spotted the girl, now standing with her book at her feet. She appeared to be just as spooked as he was a moment ago.
With a sigh, he thought: Come now, I can't hide here forever. I suppose I'll have to play it...female for awhile...That is, if she'll buy the act.
So Dimitri let a sweet smile grace his lips, and shifted into her line of sight. Padding towards her, he was reminded of his previous job, and remembered to sway his hips a tad more than usual. He waved to her, still smiling cheerfully, and explained across the space between them, in the most feminine voice he could muster, "Sorry, didn't knov anyone vas zere. You startled me..."

She thought for a second and then frowned. Unsure if it was really a girl or not. She sighed slightly and bent down to pick up her book. "Umm... hi," she said calmly. "What's your name?"
With a quick glance at her books she thought: why am I here if I can't even get any friends.. this is lame.
She stretched a little and held the book unsure of what she should say next. "You have a nice accent..." she said uneasily.

Dimitri reddened a little. No one had ever complimented him on his accent before--it was comforting to hear that in a new place such as this...school? Was he even still on the school grounds? Ah, who cares?!
"Why...zank you. It's a Russian one, by ze vay. My apologies if I mispronounce somezing, I'm not used to speaking in English."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 07, 2006 8:37 pm

"It's ok," she said with a smile. She laughed slightly inside to see him redden. Suddenly she yawned and then blinked. "Wow, am I tired," she said to herself. Oh great better not start talking to myself again in front of people, she thought to herself.
