Diving deeper : Charu was and still is keeping a secret that she was going to join the Missionary Sisters of Charity. A Catholic order of nuns that was created by Mother Teresa. She knew her family would be quite angry. Since they were Hindus. Charu is quite torn by this choice. Choosing faith over family. But now since she has come to Hogwarts, she knows she can put off telling her family for a awhile longer. On the happier side of things, Charu is very go-lucky girl. She is a happy soul that loves to play.

Taking a closer look : Charu awoke at usual time. 6:00 A.M. She knew she would have to start up a fire in the fireplace so her mother could begin making breakfast. Her mother needed rest because she had been suffering from a fever for the last two days. But her mother's fever was receding last night so she would be preparing food today. It would most likely be the usual breakfast, chapati bread with rice and goat's milk. They had goat's milk at almost every meal except supper. Her family owned a very small herd of about seven goats. Quite small compared to those in the country side. Once she fire had started, Charu took the large tin pail placed by family's front door. She walked out to the well that was a couple yards off the property. Charu filled the pail with water and headed back inside. She hanged it over the fire so the water could boil. Soon enough, Charu heard the sound of sandals walking through the house. Her mother came into view. "How are you feeling?" Charu whispered in Hindi.
"Better..." her mother replied. "You know.... you've only known English for a few years and your doing well with it... though I wouldn't know that exactly." her mother said to her.
"True.. you don't know that much English.." Charu said with a light chuckle. "Alas, I do not. On the plus side, Diwali is coming up. You always have loved that." her mother said.
Charu's stomach was suddenly torn with regret. How would she tell her mother that she didn't believe in Hindu gods? It would all come in time. Though Charu knew time was running out.
