Username : The Adorable Panda Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Unripe Prompt Reply : Head low, chin on the dirt, legs sprawled out. A half-sobbing groan escapes the throat of Unripe. A small flower falls from his head, having come loose from his horn. His four sisters were gathered around him, all giggles and grins. Why did he have to be the test foxbun? Every time they wanted to go out a see the bucks they liked, they used him to see what combination of flowers in their hair looked best, which leaves complimented their coats better, how they should arrange the berry branch fastened to their horns. Sisters...he could live without them. Sure he knew how does acted, what they wanted out of a buck, I mean, they never shut up about their boyfriends. But was all this girly stuff necessary? Couldn't they do it to each other?? He wanted to play with his friends and do buck things, but noooo he was stuck with his sisters...
And it wasn't as if he chose to stay. One couldn't keep count of all the times he tried to escape. But four on one is just too much for the buck. And then there was the crying, the pouting, the 'I'm-telling-mom/dad". It was just so much of a hassle. How much more of this is he going to have to put up with? *sigh*

Username : Appeal Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Forgotten Name Prompt Reply : As the younger brother of a family of four other sisters, life gets rough. You have to pick them berries and scare away the snakes. They often make you play dress up, covering your head in banana leaves and throwing long threads of grass over your scales. They expect you to be at their beck and call. Sometimes you wish you could just run away from it all but then you remember times when only you can be the buck of their dreams, their hero, and it's not so rough after all. You protect them from the all the threats the swamp has to offer and at the end of the day when you're back to being their dress up buck you look back on it all and remember: you're still their brother and no matter what, younger or older, you always protect your sister. You are the closet buck in their lives after all, no matter what that suitor you scared off says.

Username : Mei Silja Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Spring wind Prompt Reply : Spring time was coming soon, like his name the spring wind blew and the last of the snow lost its grip on the plants and the green grew brighter and alive. Spring wind loved this time, the smell of it was gentle and yet carried strength of warmth promised. Spring was also a time his sisters loved, they would dress their growing horns in flowers and berries. He loved to see them so happy, though it was hard for him to sit back and do nothing when his sisters tried to tempt bucks to them. He hated the thought of his sisters getting hurt and more so that they might be taken. Spring wind glanced behind him as his sisters started giggling, to late though as he was pounced.
Struggling and pleading did no good as all three of his sisters had ganged up on him, soon his own growing horns held flowers. Sulking he looked to his sisters who all cooed and awed at him, shrugging to himself Spring wind got up and lowering his head, pawing the ground before lightly shaking his antlers. His sisters gave cries and fake screams then took off, Spring wind running right behind them. He often got made fun of because his sisters dressed his horns so often, but really Spring wind did not mind in the least. His sisters didn’t mean any harm in it and he was sure if push came to shove they would help him with any bully, and he simply liked the flowers.
He was soft and gentle, he did not like to mock fight like most bucks his age and he took care to speak softly and kindly. His sisters did that, they were gentle and kind as the flowers though like a few they did have thorns and getting them angry wasn’t the smartest of things to do. Growing up with so many sisters Spring wind copied their action’s quiet often; he had only his father for a male guide but so many sisters and a mother. Stopping in his running he watched his sister’s stop as well and started talking again to each other. He wondered then, what did his sisters see him as? Was he a brother to them, or a sister? The wind blew again ruffling him and the grass; it truly did not matter to him once he thought about it. He was himself, and what better thing to be.

Username : Lady Aria Starstone Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Talks-To-Trees Prompt Reply : Trees sighed as he curled up near his mother. He'd escaped the quadruplet horrors, as he thought of them sometimes. They'd wanted to play more of their games. He was desperate, really truly desperate, for a male friend his age! He loved his sisters. Really he did... But... The memories of the calls of 'Treeeeeees! Help us! Tell us when we look prettiest!' and 'Treeeeeeeees! You get to be the Fairy! We're the princesses!' and so on... It was enough to drive a young buck mad. He sighed, deeply. All he wanted was another male around. A brother would be nice. Or a nearby boy he could play with. Something! Anything to counteract the constant sister insanity.
At least they sometimes needed him to deal with Snakes... Or fetch them snacks. It got him SOMETHING to do that wasn't just 'be one of the girls' no matter how hard he tried to remind them he was a boy. At least he'd gotten them to stop trying to dress him up. Gah. The last time they'd tried it, he'd rolled in mud til they were going 'Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!' and ran to tell Mother. She had just shook her head and made him clean up. But it worked. He had to come up with something. He sighed, again, and closed his eyes. At least a small nap might help, before they got to him again.

Username : Flayre_the_pyro_girl Preference :Buck Name for your choice :Cherry Smash Prompt Reply : Cherry Smash smiled as he watched his herd of sisters wander across the clearing to the storyteller. Every buck in attendance had his eyes on the lovely does, and every buck would be in for a surprise when they sauntered up to flirt with the females. His sisters were delicate but deadly; one wrong move and a buck would be bleeding from the lethal words the girls would casually toss at him, Smash knew, because he'd been the receiving end of many such words.
He missed his sweet little sisters from the past, the ones who had begged him to run for them and their friends, to get them the sweetest berries from the higher parts of the bushes. The cute little sisters who had snuggled up to him at night to keep scary dreams away.
He sighed, lamenting the way they had stopped needing him.

Username : Amizade Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Candid Prompt Reply : Letting out an unusually high-pitched scream for a buck, Candid steered sharply to the right, picking up his pace again as he careered through the mangroves. As always, he was running, running away. The buck was heavily panting now and his legs felt like they were about to give way but there was no way he could stop. The ominous sound of his drawn out name was always just a few metres behind. ‘CAAAAN-DIIIIIID. Where arrrrrre you?’ He shuddered. How did they manage to say that in perfect unison anyway? It made it so much scarier. The buck clenched his eyes shut and sucked in air. His heart was beating too fast, it was aching, he needed to slow down. He continued weaving through the roots and after a while, he pricked up his ears, listening intently for the sound of four particular voices. But there was nothing, just Silence and his friends. And being a foolish buck, Candid slowed down to catch his breath. There was a delighted laugh and almost immediately, he was tackled and dragged to the ground by a flurry of green, tan and giggles. UGH, his sisters. After smothering him with kisses and licks while he defiantly protested, they argued about who had won the game. Catch and Kiss Candid. He sighed, and at the sound of his audible exhale, Candid's other half walked over and nestled her head on his neck. He sighed again, this time with a smile. His sisters.

Username :danse-hexe Preference :Buck Name for your choice :Serene Shadow (might change? : X) Prompt Reply : When they were learning to walk, he was the fastest to get up on spindly little legs, but instead of exploring he spent most of his time nudging at his sisters and teaching them to put this leg forward, then that one- and picking them up when they fell.
When they were a little older, he would often watch over his sisters as they napped under the shadow of a tree. They spent their days running around, and he spent his chasing after them, pulling one out of the mud here and rescuing another from an angry lizard there.
When they were at That Age, his life revolved around lying on a rock, under the hot sun. They would pull weeds from the ground, draping those over his back. They would hunt for berries, for flowers, and place them artfully amongst the weeds. Later, he learned to do the same for them. "You're all pretty girls," he would smile and say. "All you need is a flower tucked behind your ear- none of that gaudy stuff."
Now, he watched as they left one-by-one, at the side of another buck- a buck who would, from now on, be the one to watch over them, to find flowers for them. Their family of seven had whittled itself down to just two: his twin, and himself.
"Silver," he winks, "You'd better take good care of her." His twin laughed, and touched her nose to his. "Oh, brother, you're such a silly. It's not like I'll be gone forever. Anyway, Silver's your best friend and you know better than anyone else how amazing he is; he's perfect for me. You know, it's about time you found a mate, too. You've been taking care of us all this while." "Yeah," he smiles. "Yeah, I'll.. look around. Take care of yourself, okay?"
As he watches them walk away, nuzzling at each other, he's not sure if his heart is aching because his sisters have all grown up and gone away, or because Silver is the only one he's ever loved.
note: uhhh, Silver is just a random name <3

Username : Melodine Cantus Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Chestnut Caper Prompt Reply :
At first, he didn't make much of it.
He could never choose his siblings, just like how his parents could never choose the gender of their children. They could only hazard a guess, and would only know for sure when their foals emerged from their sacs. They struggled out, one by one, eyes tightly shut to the wonder of this new world they had been born into. They could not see the sunlight streaming through the partings of the leaved branches the trees around them held, and huddled together, the four of them. They did this because they were siblings, they did this even though they did not know the difference in gender of one of them. They did this because they were family.
Slowly, as they all began to open their eyes and struggle to their feet, testing their limbs and walking shakily, they laughed as one of them stumbled, only in amusement, but the rest of them would help the fallen one up, using their own bodies as support and offering words of encouragement.
Again, it had nothing to do with gender; they were purely doing this because they knew, instinctively that they had to be there for each other because they belonged to the same clutch, they had the same blood flowing through their veins.
Slowly, as they grew, they then realized the difference. He was the odd one out; the only brother, and would sometimes wander off to find other male fillies like himself. They would worry, pace about frantically, and then when he came back, they would round on him and ask him exactly where he went. They thought him special, but he thought himself out of place. He was different from them, and therefore thought that it was probably for the best that he distant himself from them. Even though he looked like his twin sister, he could also see that they were not exactly the same.
His sisters did not understand and would frown, tossing their heads from side to side in confusion. They, on the other hand, regarded him as one of them. He was still their sibling, their brother, an important Kimeti to them.
He mostly wandered, exploring the swamp as they worried, though he did not know this. He liked to see new things, new creatures, hear new sounds, like the splash of a stone into the swamp and it made a glug glug sound as it sank into the muddy depths.
His twin sister soon decided to follow him when he went on his little adventures, hiding behind the trunk of a tree when she miscalculated and trod too roughly, and he would turn as he heard hoof steps behind him. She did this so many times that he soon realized that she was following him, but said nothing.
She did it so many times that she knew that he knew of her presence; he did not bother to even incline his head when she made a mistake with being too conspicuously loud. This made her more bold, and she soon began to approach him and he allowed her to walk besides her as they explored together.
Slowly, one by one, his other sisters too followed his twin's lead, and were surprised that he took it considerably into stride. Soon, all of them were together again, besides each other, and even though he did not speak while they chattered with each other, there was a hint of a smile on his muzzle.
They were all siblings after all, born of the same clutch. And that would never change.

Username : fluorescein Preference : Buck Name for your choice : Spun Grass Prompt Reply :
His story, while tragic, was sadly so common these days, it's hardly worth the bother to tell it. In his tribe, breeding pairs rarely produced males, resulting in the males leading a life of indentured servitude or default matchmaking (since bucks were ridiculously outnumbered, they all befriended each other as does were scary en masse. This resulted in the popular practice of bullying your brother to introduce you to his buck friends in hopes of finding a lifemate.). For the longest time he was the victim of some serious gender confusion. But the Swamp was kind and as he was on the cusp of finding it mortifying preening around with delicate blossoms, his hunting prowess was setting him apart. And when one excelled at something, it was natural for the buck or doe to want to continue it in earnest. In an effort to understand better and spend more time with him, his twin took an interest in hunting and soon the other sisters followed suit.
His family became known for their kill count and reliable source of food. Decorative flowers were replaced with prized feathers. As their skills improved, their hunting party grew, attracting the attention of visiting bucks of equal hunting merit. None could best them and they boasted of their tandem skills with fierce pride. But the golden age of them hunting side by side was coming to an end as each sister became increasingly competitive to impress a buck of her choice, even to the point of stealing prey or sabotaging each other. Harsh words, snickers and snide compliments were affecting their success. His family was on the verge of shambles and all this because they desired the attention of other bucks. One by one he showed to his sisters the shortcomings of each of their favored bucks through hunting, and by their own admission of defeat the offending bucks left. He gladly accepted his sisters' hate-filled glares. He was the spun grass that held the family together and protected them and his sisters deserved the very best. As a cool wind blew, he knew that just how Fall was temporary, so was their dislike for him. With Winter nipping at Fall's heels it was imperative that worked together for preparation of the cold. And perhaps when Spring came, they would be more mature with their infatuation. Of course that was the reason he would give but deep down he wanted to be their number one buck for just a little longer.

Username : AndrAIa Preference : The ideas I got from writing this demand I say buck. Name for your choice : Leaf-on-Wind (EDIT: Homygosh, the Firefly reference was a coincidence but now I am doing to have to use that name at some point XD !) Prompt Reply : Being the only boy is a big responsibility, his father told him, you have to look out for your sisters. Wind took that lesson to heart. When they were little he was their big-strong-brother (even if he could hardly break a twig) protecting them from all the evils of the world; spiders, strangers, monsters hiding in the leaves. They wouldn’t go anywhere without him. When they got to that age when the other bucks started to take notice of his sister he realized what his father had really meant. No bucks were allowed anywhere near his sisters on his watch. Being one it was safe to say that he knew what was on their minds and he was going to have none of that involving his sweet sisters. The years have taught him better, his sisters could take care of themselves. Now he just wished someone would take them off his hands. A young doe is always eager for the attention of the males, and he made that impossible. They made a very specific effort to let him know that, the details of which he refused to release, even years and years after the incident had passed.
