A short definition STOLEN FROM WIKI:

In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminances between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.
The two main sources of HDR imagery are computer renderings and merging of multiple photographs, which in turn are known as low dynamic range (LDR) (also called standard dynamic range (SDR) photographs.

This is my newest thing and why I wanted to start a thread on HDR stuff... The following are links to to some examples of PSEUDO HDR images.

These are not true HDR renderings, but the effect is similar, and hopefully gives a good example of what the process is all about.

Love them! Really hon, those are great and you did amazing stuff with the lighting and the color variations. I like the Falling In the best because it took me a moment (hey I'm sleepy) to realize that wasn't a thatched, angled roof.

Oh, guess what, I have an A to an A- average in school! Yay! I hope to make the dean's list and they want me to be a tutor next semester. (Freshmen can't do it and we're only two weeks from finals.)

Not sure which of these I prefer, composition wise. They're kind of similar. But love the skies...
