Naimh was distracted like always. Yes she had responsible for two cubs and yes her good friend Lopo told her to stick around the den. But she had better things to do or for that matter got distracted and started chasing a butterfly while playing hide and go seek with her family and Lopo.

"Come back here mister! You can't get away from me!" She giggled bounding after the little winged creature. "I'm going to get you!" She warned it as she leap through the grass and over rocks and a log or two. She couldnt help but to giggle as she did. The leopardess had energy like a cub and it never really ran out. She was constantly moving and running and playing that is until it was time to sleep and in that case she would normally pass out as soon as she hit the den floor but once the sun rose again she was up and moving.

She grinned as she started to pull herself up the side of a tree trying her hardest to keep up with it. She stopped as she perched on the top branch. "Where did you go?" She whispered quietly as she looked around before sighing and laying out on the branch. But then something caught her attention. there was something pink in the corner of her eye. She grinned as she pushed her rump up itnto the air and sprung through the branches landing on the unknown pink thing that she spotted.

It was a nice day, she had to admit. The sun was nice and bright and there didn't seem to be any mean lions around trying to pick on her for some reason. Couldn't they see how pretty she was? Someone's treasure! You really shouldn't be messing with someone's treasure. As soon as she found Misri again, she would have to tell him about what had happened to his jewel. If only he would magically come from behind some trees or brush, appearing just because she needed him to.

Something did appear, it just wasn't what she had been hoping for. One minute she was fine, just having a moment to herself, the next she was rolling with some unknown creature. Was she being attacked again?

"No, don't hurt me!" she yelped, rolling onto her back almost instantly in a sign of submission. Bringing her paws up to her eyes, she hid under them, not daring to look up at the beast that had attacked her.

It was strange, though. Seemed like the animal was a little... lighter than a lion was supposed to be. Still, better safe than sorry.

Naimh never meant harm with her playings. She was just wanting... Well she just wanted to play! She flicked her tail around a bit as she stared at the lioness who was covering her face, she was very confused, why was the lioness hiding. Nai was very confused at that. "OH!" She squeaked as she dropped to the ground there had to be some one dangerous around. "DON'T HURT ME EITHER!"

The Leopard covered her head before curlling up into a little ball "Please don't! I promised Lopo that I wouldn't get hurt! Ohoh! Please don't tell him I'm out I promised I wouldn't leave the den!" She didn't want to get in trouble again! Oh no!

She wiggled around in the ball she was curled up in. She held her eyes close tight and started to cry, she didn't want to get into trouble! Oh not! That wouldn't be good.

Melda lifted one paw from her face, peeking over at the leopard that had curled up on the floor. Tilting her head to one side, she rolled herself from her back onto her side, not sure why the other was so upset when she had been the one to jump on top of her in the first place. Whatever had happened, she seemed really upset now.

Maybe she hadn't thought she was jumping on a lioness?

"Oh oh!" wailed the pink creature, moving closer to the female, "don't cry! oh no! I didn't mean to scare you, you just scared me! I thought you were a lion trying to hurt me like last time! But I'm sorry... I shouldn't have yelled like that. You don't have to be scared! I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." She sat down, ears flat against her head.

"Are you alright?"

Naimh closed her eyes a trying to stop the tears, what if it was Lopo and he was mad because she wandered away, oh that was even worse! But then she heard a voice... That wasn't Lopo's voice. She started to calm down and she looked up at the lioness. "But you said some one was trying to hurt us!" She squeaked as she started to wipe away her years she sat up and then looked around supiously.

"I'm sorry I hurt you. I just wanted to play." She nodded her voice was soft and souned like a cubs. She was just a big cub... She flicked her tail around before flicking her hair out of her eyes and then sniffling.

"I'm alright but is some one going to hurt us?" She looked at the lioness with large eyes she hoped that some one wasn't going to hurt her. "Wait, Wait! You won't tell Lop that I'm here right? He'll be mad if he finds out I'm not at the den! I was supposed to watch the cubs but I got bored." Her ears folded back, she was sad that she got distracted she knew she should have stayed but then again here she was trying to play with the lioness.

"What? No, I thought YOU were trying to hurt me!" she replied lightly. So that was what had the female in such a tizzy? She thought someone else was trying to hurt the both of them? Well that was a silly thing to think! Then again, this leopard seemed pretty silly herself. Almost like a cub.

Better than a vicious sort, she supposed.

"Oh, don't worry, you didn't hurt me, only scared me," she replied softly, keeping her voice calm now so as not to stir up anymore trouble. Looking around, the female took on a thoughtful expression. "No, I don't think anyone is going to hurt us," she replied, "it's just the two of us out here at the moment, as far as I can tell." Blinking, she arched an eyebrow, a little confused.

"I don't know what a Lop is, but I won't tell him you're out here. But if you're not watching your cubs, who is? You might want to get back to them! They'll be missing you if they're all alone."

Naimh looked at the lioness and then looked a little confused. "Oh?" she asked curiously sitting back on her haunches and looking up at the sky trying to think of why the lioness would be afraid of herself "Oh! I pounced on you I'm sorry.." She remembered what she did but then she looked up again. "I just wanted to play." She coughed under her breath for a moment before looking at the lioness. "I hope you can forgive me!

She looked up a little more hopeful at the lioness. "Really? I'm sorry for scaring you as long as I didn't hurt you!" She nodded before looking around. "You sure?" She then grinned from ear to ear. "I guess no one is going to hurt us!" She giggled a little before grinning ear to ear.

She then smiled. "Thank you!" She was very glad that she wasn't going to tell Lopo. She flicked her tail around a few times before nodding at the lioenss. "I don't know. They'll be fine though. they listen when Lopo says not to leave." she nodded proudly before lifting a paw and licking it. "I'm not sure if they are my cubs though. They look like me but..." Her voice trailed.

"Of course I forgive you!" laughed the lioness brightly. Knowing that the leopard hadn't meant any harm certainly did a lot to make her feel better about things. It was just because this young-hearted leopard had wanted to play. That was, quite frankly, adorable.

She liked female leopards. So far she hadn't met one she didn't like that much. They all seemed so nice!

Listening to the befuddled Leopard, she offered a warm smile. "Well, if they look like you that has to be a sign! What makes you think they might not be yours? Did your mate tell you anything that made you worry?" She wasn't sure she wouldn't be able to tell her cubs from others. With her spots, it would be obvious to know where the little babies had come from. There weren't any others who looked like her now, either.

Her family had all but vanished over the years.

Niamh looked at the other lioness before chuckling a little bit. She grinned once more then smiled even more. "I'm glad that you can forgive me for that. A lot of the time Lopo gets mad when I scare him.. then again he doesn't expect it when I do that..." Her voice trailed for a moment before standing up and wiggling a little bit she was excited at the idea that she wouldn't have some one mad at her.

She then shrugged at the lioness. "Well they look like me and... well... I just don't remember having them." She giggled then looked down at her paws. "I'm about eighty percent convinced they are mine." she giggled before then wiggling her toes around. But then she remembered something. "OH NO!" She started to bound back into the trees. "I have to goooo.!" She glanced back at the lioness and gave her a nice smile. "I'm sorry I have to go find Lopo he's bound to realize I'm gone by now!"

Melda frowned.

Not remembering having cubs... would certainly be something to leave her a little confused. It was one thing to have them look like you, sure, but if you really couldn't remember having them.... maybe there was more merit to the poor thing not being sure than she'd assumed at first. Made her feel bad, actually. "Well, eighty percent is a good number! Maybe you'll remember the more time you spend with them. And you love them anyway, right?" She said with a grin. That was the most important part.

Loving your babies regardless.

"Oh wait!" she yelped, watching the other jump into the trees, "you never told me your name! I want to know if we can be friends! Would you mind that terribly? I think you're very nice!" but it was too late- the leopard had already gone. Sighing softly, the lioness turned and moved back the way she had come. Maybe she’d get her new friend’s name next time.
