Dusk snores loudly while laying on his back, his body propped up by a tree and his legs sticking in the air.

Dusk smacked his lips, his mouth parched from the snoring, before peeking through heavy lids at a mare above him. "Hu?" He asked quietly, having not understood a single word the mare had said. He blinked several times, trying to wake himself up. With a loud thud he rolled onto his side so he could better look up at the mare. His vision was still blurred from the sleep that had not left his eyes, but he could clearly make out lavender eyes and a greenish/purplish face. "Aika? What are you doing?"

"And stripey to... Dont forget the stripe..." He said, still somewhat half asleep. So, Kava was a tea. What on earth was Tea? Oh well, it didnt matter... "Hu?" He asked though once again as the mare that was speaking to him mentioned her daughter and him knowing her. The mare had the same eyes, same short curly hair, and same purplish hue as Aika, but... Nah. "Are you serious? You cant be Aika's mom. Other than the eyes, curly hair, and purple hue you two look nothing alike!" It probably would have been better if he had just stayed asleep.

"Then it may not have been the best idea to wake someone up in order to talk to them then...." Dusk said with a huff as he begain to walk away from the mare in order to find some water to moisten his parched mouth. With a sigh he looked back at the mare. "Just wait here... I'll be back in a minute... Hopefully fully awake..." Obviously he wasn't in the best of moods. He felt like it was his mother that had woke him, the snide remarks, scrutinizing gaze, shear sarcasm and general huffiness... But it wasn't his mother, it was Aika's; for all he knew she was being polite. With that in mind he had at least attempted to be nicer than usual when forced from his sleep in such a way. He made his way to a near by stream and took a sip, the cool and refreshing water sating his thirst. Once he had his fill he took a deep breath, plunged his entire head beneath the surface, and quickly withdrew it. The cool water, while refreshing as it had flowed over Dusk's tongue, jolted his mind into being fully alert and awake. He shook the water from his head and returned to the mare that was Aika's mother, a bright smile on his face. "Much better..." He said beaming at her, water still dripping from his mane.

"Yes, indeed, m'name's Dusk. I dont know why Aika would be talking about me though - nothing really interesting about me..." he paused and looked to the ground, a slight smile spread across his face. It made him feel good that Aika talked about him, especially since she most likely hand many more interesting things to talk about.

Dusk left his head hanging as Lovelee spoke; he honestly hadnt thought their encounters and mini adventures would be one of the things she talked about. There was so much more that she could speak of - Flying, places she had been able to go because of flying, tales that the sparrows and finches had told... Just... so much more. But it was comforting, reassuring even, to think their adventures were interesting enough to be a conversation topic. Of coures, like Aika's mother said, they did hang out quite a bit; could it be simply that he took up all of her time with his plans for a grand adventure? That he kept her from leading the interesting and fun filled life she was fully capable of having? The idea was one that made the already faint smile on Dusk's face fade even more. But it didnt last long.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lovelee," Dusk replied to the mare's formal greeting, raising his head and giving the mare a welcoming smile. He chuckled a bit sheepishly as Lovelee mentioned not having wings or chirping, remembering the comment he had made about not looking like Aika. "Sorry about that by the way..." He said quietly. "I should know that ones looks don't determine one's family. I myself hardly look like my mother or my father, and you cant even tell I'm related to my grandfather."

Dusk nodded, accepting Lovelee's explanation of Aika's need for her friends. "They are indeed. Makes me wonder why people care about them at all some times." The thought on genetics just rolled off of his tongue as the thought of his mother being so picky about who she mated with slipped through his mind. He simply couldnt see the point, but he guessed for those that were shallow genetics would be a concern. He gave a soft chuckel. "Well, at least I dont have to worry about genetics. No need or time for kids at the moment, too much of the world left to explore." He paused, eyeing Lovelee for a moment. "Ma'am, may I ask you a question?"
