[A Cult (Pollack) and Seamus (Necrona) Roleplay!]

It was a beautiful day. Nigh perfect, really. Not too cold, not too warm, and the early apples were just ripening. Seamus browsed leisurely under one of the trees, massacring fruit. This was one of the nicer groves it'd been his pleasure to find, with solid old trees and a nice canopy for shade. He could barely see the sky at all, what with all of the apple-laden branches!

He bit into a piece of fruit just a shade too sour and spit it back out. With all of the bounty, he could afford to be a little choosy. Something about the flavor, though, reminded him of someone--caramel-colored flanks and blue eyes. That wasn't a pleasant thought, though, so he quickly shook his head and moved on to a different branch. A shiny red-and-gold-flecked apple caught his eye, and with a predatory gleam in his eye he went nipping after it.

It was a simply wonderful day for flying. The spring air blew in her black as night hair. As well as lifted her large body from the ground. It felt so nice to finally spread her wings and get out to truly see this new lands Cult had made her home. So far everything was going great, She had found a nice river to drink from and then caught some warm winds to carry her as she traveled. But still she couldn't shake this horrible craving that was in the pit of her belly for some apples. She could have eaten a whole forest and she would still be hungry for an good apple! So to keep herself from getting fat as a house Cult had been searching in these last hours high and low for a ripe apple tree. Turns out they went the easiest things to find!

But as soon as she made it out over a fairly large hill that was blocking her view she saw one of the biggest groves of apple trees she had ever seen. It was perfect! Fresh early apples hung from the trees like diamonds. Oh her mouth watered at the thought of the perfect taste! And good shade to lay in to get away from the pounding sun. Wonderful, All of it.
A smile from ear to ear formed on her face as she dropped down from the clouds to land in the middle of the grove. Everything was going great! She almost could touch the ground with her hooves, When a dark brown object come into her path. From the minute she saw it Cult could see it was a other soquili, A brown stallion. But that didn't matter right now, What did matter is she was about to CRASH! Cult tried her best in a frantic daze to stop or at last slow down. But there was no way to when there was such a short distance between them. As a last resort Cult screamed out "OH MY GOD! LOOK OUT!" Before squeezing her eyes closed and praying to the spirits that he would move out of the way. Sadly it was too late for him to do anything. And Cult went flying into the stallion's side, Rolling over him before falling face first into the ground. "Owwww."

Seamus stood a little on his hind legs, going for that perfect apple. He could...almost...reach...

Somewhere behind him, he heard the flapping of great wings. An eagle, perhaps? Or an owl? His teeth were so near to closing over the apple he wanted that he didn't turn around to check. But it seemed to be getting closer.

Actually, wait, no. It seemed to be getting a lot closer. Really quickly.

He heard somebody shout "OH MY GOD! LOOK OUT!" and okay, THAT got his attention. He whipped his head around to see a massive...something coming straight at him in a blur of deep grey-brown and that's about all he had time to register before he was toppling to the ground hooves over haunches. He skidded a few feet until the trunk of a tree stopped him, and okay, that was gonna leave a mark. Ow ow ow. For a minute he just lay with his head on the loamy ground, groaning and doing a mental check that everything was still attached properly. Then he lifted his head up and saw what had sent him tumbling--a Wind mare, and an absolutely huge one at that. No wonder he'd gotten thrown so hard!

"Hey," he said to the mare, who looked a little dazed herself. "Hey, are you okay?"

The burning pain all over her body was all she could think about as pretty little stars danced around her head. It was only when she heard a blurry voice it her ears could she even think. "Huuuunnh?" She muttered out not able to form clear words.

As she was slowly coming to one of the first things Cult noticed is that she was upside down. Her long legs were flailing up in the air, Her wings were fanned out around her keeping her balanced in this pose. Feeling silly laying like this she let her legs fall to one side of her as she laid there in a stupor.

It was a few short minutes before Cult could finally make enough sense to speak. She slid her head on the ground to where the blurry voice from before came from. "Hi..?" She said softly to the stallion in front of her. He too was still laying on the ground, Pressed up against the trunk of a tree. To her it seemed like a strange place to lay, But to each his own. Then it hit her that this was the person she knocked over! Her sea green eyes widened with deep set panic. "O-Oh! I'm so sorry! God. I wasn't even looking! I-I Oh! Are you okay?! I'm really sorry if I hurt you! I didn't mean to!" Cult nervously blabbered on. She really felt horrible about knocking herself into him! She couldn't even think what she would do with herself if she really hurt him.
She had to get over there to help him get back up! With pure drive in her moments Cult slowly lifted herself on her still aching legs. She stumbled over to the mystery stallion before laying back down in front of him feeling like there was no way she could go any more without having to rest.

Cult bent down and nudged his leg tenderly that to her was bent a little strange. "God. I'm really super sorry. I just wanted something to eat then.." She paused and snapped her large wings to her side tightly. "These huge things got in the way."

Seamus decided to stay put as the mare got up. She was even bigger than he'd thought, towering there. She looked pretty unsteady on her hooves, and it wasn't long before she was on the ground again. Once she was laying down again, he leaned over and grimaced smiled at her. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine," he assured her. "Just took a bit of a tumble. Not everyday I get blindsided. Not, of course, that it was your fault! I mean, I wasn't even paying attention. Haha, not the first time that's gotten me into trouble."

He flexed the leg she had nudged. It felt a little stiff, like he'd thwacked it on something, but altogether not bad. He could stand, for sure. To prove it (as much to himself as to the mare), he gathered his hooves up under him and lurched off the ground. There it went! Yup, he was definitely standing. He swayed a bit, steadied himself, and decided he was good.

"See?" he said, stamping his feet a little. "Fit as a fiddle." He took this chance to nose at her a bit, from a respectful distance. "But are you okay? You took quite a spill there, miss. You were all...splat. Can I, uh, do anything? Get you anything? Water, maybe? I think I remember a spring back there a ways..."

Frankly, he was a little concerned. She seemed kinda out of it. He wasn't sure if that was odd or if she was just spacey, though, so he didn't want to jump to conclusions. His side kind of hurt, but he wasn't mentioning that for sure. She already seemed to be beating herself up about it.

Cult looked up at him with worried eyes. She couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or simply saying that to make her feel better, Even if it was a touching act. "Frankly I think both you and I know you toke more then just a bit of a tumble. I...I made you ram into a tree!" She glanced down and sighed smiling slightly. He was just lying to make her feel better, Just as she thought. With a raised eyebrow Cult glanced back up to the smaller stallion. "You big liar! I'm not daft ya know. I can handle the weight on my shoulder of it being my fault that I rammed into you. But that doesn't make me any less sorry." Cult firmly stated. She hated being treated like a baby by anyone. People didn't understand that she was a big girl, She could handle the truth.

Still she held her breath in fear when the brown stallion jumped up from the ground. A flood of relief filled her when he didn't come tumbling down like she thought he would. She watched with interest and worry as he swayed before steadying. She nodded her head at him. It made her feel so much better knowing that at least he could stand, And that she didn't break any of his bones.

Cult shifted her weight around, Feeling awkward with him nosing her like that. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure I'm okay. I'm just a little dizzy." She blinked and tilted her head to one side as she looked at him. "I- Went splat?" She asked with a giggle before smiling. "I guess thats a good way to put it. Then did you go boom?" It was then that Cult remembered that he had asked something about getting anything for her, Funny cause it should be her getting things for him! After all she is the one who bumped into him. "Uh no. It's okay! I just need to lay down for a bit and wait for this dizzy spell to pass."

Seamus was a bit taken aback by the forceful nature of the mare's declaration. He nodded a bit after she had finished and contemplated carefully. "Well," he conceded, "you did indeed make me ram into a tree. Nice shot, though!" he laughed, then squeaked "ow" when the laugh hurt his smarting ribs. "Still, I don't figure it to be your fault. I'm pretty sure you weren't looking for unsuspecting Soquili to bowl over. Just an instance of wrong place, wrong time, I think!"

Satisfied that she wasn't gravely injured herself, he stepped back a bit. "Boom? Haha! More like thwack, if I remember correctly. The impact itself was the boom! Pretty sure I saw stars, and I'm not even the one who hit my head! It's probably a good idea to stay down a bit if you're dizzy--don't want you going splat all over again."

He looked around and was surprised to see apples all over the ground. Then, with a start, he realized he must've knocked them all off the tree when he'd skidded into it. Just thinking about it made his shoulders hurt, but hey, couldn't complain about the convenience! Grinning, he tapped at one with a hoof. "Apple?" he asked the mare. "Oh-so-fresh and delivered just for us!" Having said so, he bent down to snag one himself, biting deep into the fruit and sighing contentedly.

Cult smiled before let out a laugh that shook her large frame, Wincing somewhat when her laughing made her already hurting head scream out at her. Trying to hide her pain Cult cheerfully agreed. "It was a good shot eh? I count ten points for me!" Her lighthearted tone stop at the sudden squeak of pain the stallion before her let out. Her ears pinned back on her skull as she looked up at him with worry filling her bright green eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again, Already knowing that this stallion was just gonna play it off and say he's okay.
"Thats true. I can tell you right now that I don't go around looking for people to ram into so I can go splat! By the time I saw you I couldn't really do anything to stop myself." Cult sighed as she closed her eyes. Stopping had always been a big problem for her, Once she got her big body going unless she had tons of room there was no way she could stop on a dime.

"Maaaybe. I think you went more like boom, Thwack, Splat, Right to the tree for ya! I know after I fell I saw stars. If I remember they were dancing..." She paused and toke a moment to ponder what she had just said before laughing lightly, Making sure not to laugh too hard and make her head hurt. "Wow I must have really hit my head hard! Talking about dancing stars how silly. So yeah you know what I do think I should stay down at least for a little bit more."

Cult didn't even notice all the apples around the two before he started looking around, Which made her glance around but then she had to do a double take of the sight. He must have knocked all the apples from the tree! My goodness no wonder he was saying ow! Poor guy. Cults ears flicked up at him offering her some apples. Well may as well make the best of the cards she was given. "Heh. Yes please!" After that she scooted over and gripped a shiny ripe firetruck red apple in her mouth, Chomping down deep into it she moaned softly. Mmmmm this was just the thing she was looking for! After chewing and swallowing all of the bite Cult grinned from ear to ear up at the stallion. "Ya know I have been dying for one of those for so long! So I guess at least something good come from this hiccup!" She stated before bending her head down and taking another large bite from the apple.

Seamus shook his head and laughed. This mare was something else. Quite cheery, despite obviously being a bit battered. He liked that--made it so much easier to get along with someone, and it made the whole incident seem more like a joke than anything too serious. He even felt like his blooming bruises weren't as bad for it. "Ten points for you, sure, but I should get some points for my awesome finish, eh? Especially a finish with so many sound effects attributed to it. I am, after all, a world-class faller. I didn't know if you knew. Quite lucky for you, to have the fortune to run into a professional."

He nosed another apple, and deciding it was small enough, took it whole into his mouth. As he crunched, he could feel the juice overflow his mouth and drip down onto his chin. Well, nobody ever said he was a tidy eater, but it was still a bit embarrassing. He quickly swallowed and tried to swipe at the juice with his tongue. "Ahaha, sorry," he apologized to the mare. "No manners in the least. Good, aren't they? Gods, give me an apple or a pear or a pawpaw and I'll be satisfied--well, at least until it's gone!"

He settled himself into a beam of orange light from the setting sun, looking to glean some of the last warmth from the day and let it soak into his stiffening muscles. "Is that why you were out and about?" he asked, curious. "A lack of apples in your area?"

Cult smiled again up at the stallion when he burst out laughing. She was glad that she was making him laugh at least. It made her happy that he wasn't one of those people who gets pissy at everything little thing, And then holds it against you. It didn't leave a sour taste in ones mouth at the end of the day. "Yeah. I guessss you should get some points for that one. That was quite the epic fall." She gasped and unfolded one of her wings bending it and holding the tip to her forehead. "Oh my spirits! I'm so sorry! I didn't know I had crashed into a professional!"

Cult finally toke her last bite from her first apple as the stallion before her gulped up his second. Sure Cult could pack it away if she wanted to but no matter what she also ate very slow and neat. She giggled softly at him before shrugging. "Heh. Don't worry about it bud. Everyone slips up on their manners." Cult nodded before continuing speaking. "Mmm. They're great! Ah. But thats the trick is making sure you have another lined up before you're done with the first. Then you don't have to break the feeling of being satisfied!"

She fluttered her wings out, Careful not to hit Seamus or any of the trees. Her muscles feeling like they were on fire as she carefully stood up. Her thick legs no longer shook when she stood, They ached a hell of a lot but it was something Cult could suck up. "Yeah. Thats why I was flying around. They don't have fruit trees where I'm staying." She smiled down at the brown smaller stallion. "But even if we had a pretty big mess up. I had fun with you. But... I think it's about time I should be going. The sun is gonna go down soon, And it's gonna take a while to get back home. But...Thank you for the crash and the good time eating."

(Should we wrap this up and start on the other roleplay now?)

Seamus smiled (maybe a bit blandly, but who's noticing?) and nodded. "It is getting late. If you've got a home to go to, might as well head towards it. I think I'll camp here tonight, but it sounds like you've got quite a ways to go."

He looked over the mare as she stood. Now that they were both on their hooves, he couldn't help but take note of just how big she really was. Wow, he got hit by that? He suddenly felt lucky he only had a few dings and bruises--the girl looked like she could take him down if she really wanted to!

Still, she'd been hurt too. He couldn't shake the image of her upside-down, half-insensate. "You sure you'll be okay to fly?" he asked, letting a bit of concern color his tone. Sure, she was still a stranger, but the thought of anybody as nice as she seemed putting themselves in danger didn't sit well with him. "You could always stay tonight, head back in the morning? I don't want you bowling over any more Soquili!"
PostPosted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 12:17 am

Cult smiled lightly back at the smaller stallion. "Mmm. That I do, my home will most likely take all night to get to." It was kinda funny to her how short he was to her. Most stallions came up to her chin but him? He didn't even reach that far! Both she and he was sure lucky not to really hurt each other in their bang up, sure a few bruises but those would go away.

She couldn't help but laugh and smirk at the stallion. Even if it was no laughing matter she couldn't help but find it funny at him asking if she was okay. Most who well she met always treated her like she was a brick wall that couldn't be cracked, which was far from the truth. "As much as that sounds interesting I'll have to say thanks but no thanks. I quite fine! Really. I've been hurt worse then this." She paused before nuzzling the bottom of his chin gently. Cult wasn't a shy wall flower that was sure, nuzzles and hugs was something she gave out like candy. "Thanks for your concern. But me, and other soquili are fine. But you take care of yourself, kay bucko?"

With that Cult backed herself up before turning around and trotting a few feet into a clearing in the trees. She opened her giant gray wings fully out. They were quite big, a few of her long feathers had fading black tips matching the fading pattern on her legs. She lifted her head up to the sky and when she felt a rolling breeze pass through the trees she gave a bat of her strong wings before springing off of the ground. She gave the mystery stallion a half hearted stallion a smile and a head nod before lifting off into the blue skies and disappearing.

For the briefest of moments, Seamus felt his skin burn warm in a blush under his dark coat. He wasn't used to physical affection, and the nuzzle caught him off-guard. She certainly was nice, that was a fact. He was just a little...taken aback, perhaps.

And she was fine, was she? Heh, if she said so! He didn't begrudge her the desire to get home--if he had one, he'd wanna get on back to it too. But...bucko? What was he, a colt? Well. Maybe in size comparison. Oh gods. He fought the urge to shake his head in bewilderment. Almost as an afterthought, he replied, "Yeah, you too. Be safe."

He watched in awe as she spread her huge wings, bigger than anything he'd ever seen. They seemed to fill the clearing with a quiet rustling, like a gentle breeze through leaves or a small flock of birds, a noise that was as much a dampener for other noises as a sound in and of itself. Instinctively he jerked his head away when she opened them--she was nowhere near hitting him, was in far too much control to have done any such thing. But he was in such surprise and amazement that he thought for a moment she might. He returned a watery smile as she took off, all grace despite her size. For the smallest moment he wanted to go too--watching her beat those powerful wings, he felt a phantom pair of his own, and it took him a second to remember that he was firmly stuck on the earth. He watched her go until she was just a dark smudge against the last light of the day, then he nosed for another apple.

He rested against a tree that night, and he thought of his bruises and vast grey wings before he slept.

But after a few days, his bruises faded, and so did the memory of the big dark mare.
