 Akilah didn't seem to be making many friends. She wound up with a conflict the last time, and she hasn't seen that odd halfbreed around either. Maybe she was just cursed or something...hanging out near the waves, yet not too close the red cub sighed and lowered her head. She did want friends...but...whenever she was around others hse didn't know she found herself trying to control everything and be the boss. And they never seemed to go along with it well...
"I won't ever have friends...will I?" she said to herself as she lowered her head. She did want friends! And siblings didn't count! They were SUPPOSE to play with one another. Sh ewanted friends that weren't her brothers and sisters. But she always messed things up!
As she lay in the sand, she watched the waves come crashing in a few feet away. What was out there in the big water? Where did it go? "I wonder where it would take me if I went into the sea..." she said curiously to herself. What would happen? She had been told not to get too close but...what would happen if she leaped into the waves? Probably just drown or something.

He stirred slowly out of his sleep, flicking his small 'mane' out of his eyes. He let out a small yawn before sitting up and wandering out of the pride, he was wondering where everyone was but he figured it out as he stepped out of the den noticing there wasn't that many around. They must have already been awake. He let out a small yawn shrugging the idea off ignoring the fact that he was the last one to rise. He didn't care that much.
He trotted toward the water, he wanted to spend some of the day watching the waves roll on and off the shore. As he approached the shore he stopped for a moment looking at the other lioness that was sitting there. It took him a moment before realizing it was in fact his sister. He trotted up to her listening to her comment. "I don't think it would be smart. Not even mama knows where the big water ends." He made a small face at the idea.

Akilah hadn't heard her older brother approaching, but turned when she heard his voice. "Oh, its just you Jka. I wasn't really going to go in it. Just curious about where it ends. Everything has to end somewhere. Lakes, rivers, they all stop somewhere. So I just wonder where the big water ends." she said as she sat up, not really one to lie down near others, even her brother.
Akilah raised an brow when she noticed the sleepy look in his eyes...did he just.."Did you seriously only JUST wake up Jka? The sun has been up for HOURS!" she said with a chuckle as she got to his feet. "You need to quit being such a lazy sleeping bum! There is so much to do here why waste time sleeping all day!?" she said, of course she did nap several times a day, that was normal for lions. And as cub they slept quite a lot. She just happened to use her waking hours to run around like a maniac, chasing things and trying to dominate everyone.
"So sleepy head, what is yours guess as to where the sea ends?" she asked him grinning as her tail flickered back and fourth a little. She was curious as to what her brother might think of it. Surely she isn't the only one who thought about where the water ended right?

Jka smiled and nodded to her sister. "Yeah it's just me." He nodded to her.He was over looked some times he kept to himself often not that many others talked to him. It wasn't exactly because they didn't like him... It was more of because hew as normally too busy sitting off by himself enjoying just sitting back and relaxing. He often found that more interesting then constantly finishing something for himself to do. It was really annoying some times. But then again he had to admit that he did like to run around and play some times like his other siblings.
He then stretched out next to his sister before snorting. "Sure did just wake up." He shrugged before looking at her. "I know the sun has been up." He grunted at he looked up at her before sticking his tongue out at her. He was annoyed when others picked on him for sleeping a lot or just sitting back and relaxing, he was a laid back kind of lion. "I'm not a lazy bum." He huffed at her before rolling his eyes. "I like to take the day slow." He growled at her and rolled his eyes. "I can do what I want when I get the chance to wake up." He stretched out a little more before looking out at the water again trying to ingore what his sister just said about him being lazy.
"I don't know. Some where far away though." He really didn't know what to say, he wasn't that sure of where it ended

“How lazy. You shouldn’t sleep in so late! It’s bad! Very bad! Napping in the afternoon is one thing but you should get up before the sun gets high and it gets hot! Then you can do things like hunting, and playing before the heat gets ya!” she said, obviously feeling that her brother was a lazy good for nothing. How could he just sleep the day away! Absurd! “Yes you aaare! A non lazy bum wouldn’t just sleep all day.” said Akilah as she held her head high. There was no way his way could be right was it was so different from her way!
“Well don’t take it so slow that you die. And when we get big you have to be useful to! No more sleeping in! You have to do your fair share! No one’s going to baby you once you aren’t a cub anymore so you have to shape up and do your fair share! And when you are sleeping you aren’t doing anything useful!” she said as she frowned. Turning her attention back to the ocean, her tail flickered a bit as she watched. “Hmm…everything has to end somewhere…I wonder just how far it extends….if someone could swim through it to the other side…” said Akilah curiously, more to herself then to her brother.

Jka looked at her and huffed letting out a growl as he swiped a paw at her playfully hitting her shoulder. "The heat isn't that bad because that means I stay up a little later and it's cooler when it's later." He glared at her before looking at the water then back at her sister. "Udo is the only one who wakes up really early." He nodded at the idea. Udo was their Leopon adopted brother, he loved the older and bigger creature he acted like such a great big brother and he took care of all of him and his siblings when he was helping out their mother. But he was normally back in the den as soon as the sun set and was up as soon as it rised.
"He sleeps more then I do on top of that." He huffed shaking his head again then letting out a sigh and looking forawd. "No one babys me!" He growled before nipping at her then shaking his head a few times. "i asked mama, she said you couldn't swim to the side." He huffed decidedly, he believed a lot of what his parents said.

“Well I wasn’t talking about Udo now was I. Besides, he’s up early enough for hunting. If you don’t learn to get up earlier it will be too hot to hunt and you will go hungry!” said Akilah as her tail flickered back and fourth a bit. Akilah was prancing around by the water, jumping back a few paces when the waves would come in. “Well I still say you are a lazy bum if you can sleep till noon! Going back to sleep during the day is one thing, but morning and evening is when we are suppose to get up as lions!” she said as she continued to play with the water.
Akilah jumped and turned around, growling when he nipped at her. “Well maybe mama’s wrong! Maybe it does go on! I mean…our sister…she vanished into the big water. Isn’t it better to think that she landed somewhere, rather then thinking she’s just….gone?” said Akilah with a sad look on her face.

Jka looked at her sister and growled out of annoyance. Not that happy that she was telling him that he couldn't sleep a the time that he wanted to. He shook his head a few times before huffing at her. "Mom says I can sleep when I want to as long as I do my chores." He flicke his tail around a few more times kind of wishing that he could have slept a little longer so that he would have been able to come out here when no one else was here. He sighed slightly then huffed again. "I can sleepw hen ever I can." He said more stubornly the second time.
He then glanced at her again. "Well... She could be anywhere." He shrugged slightly at the idea, it was in fact pretty pretty. Even though he was younger he knew that for sure. He then looked down at his paws. "I liked to think that she is fine but we really don't know. Even if there isn't another side she could have washed up some where else on shore." HE said simply with some help in his voice.

“Hmph, well when you get bigger you will have to get up earlier!” she said as she sighed and shook her head. “Anyways, I wanted to go explore the borders of the pride. Want to come?” she said with a grin. She knew she shouldn’t be hanging out there, but she liked to. She had met some interesting characters by going over ther,e so why not? And if someone who seemed dangerous showed up, she could just run! Yup! That sounded good!
“I hope so…but we haven’t heard from her…if she was okay wouldn’t she have come back? Or at least told us she was alright?” asked Akilah, a worried look on her face. She was worried for her missing big sister. “Do you think…mom and dad forgot about her?” she asked Jka. She hoped they didn’t….forgetting missing children…that must be…aweful. If she got lost, she wouldn’t want to be forgotten.

Jka shrugged at the idea. "I might get up earlier." He said thoughtfully. He wasn't too sure if he wanted to but at the same time he wanted to. His mom said there was nothing wrong with staying up durning the night and sleeping in the morning, some times you had to. "What If I have to do something everynight like it's my job. He asked her with a huff. "then I have to sleep in." He puffed out his chest making sure to make a point with what he was saying.
His ears then perked up then he smiled slightly, "I really want to do that it sounds like fun." He flicked his tail behind him before nudging her gently. "Come on!" He laughed slgihtly he loved the idea of wandering around and playing right now.
"Maybe she is lost." He said thoughtfully, he worried about his sister at times, he loved his siblings. and he really wasn't fond of the idea of not knowing what happened to one of his siters. "I don't think mom and dad forgot about them." He huffed at the idea s he looked at her before then shaking his head. "Maybe she doesn't know her way home."

“Then do it! And you don’t HAVE anything to do at night. You are a cub. What is there for you to do except wander around? Cubs don’t have any reason to be up late. We need to go to sleep early to be up early!” said Akilah as if her way was the only POSSIBLE way! “Hmph, again, you have no reason to be out so no use trying to make excuses NOW when you should be asleep!” she said with a frown.
“Okay then lets go! Its better then hanging around this dump!” said Akilah with a grin and a wink, it was obvious she was joking. She loved her home. But she was so entranced with the world outside the pride, she wanted to learn everything, to know what was out there.
“Lost…” said Akilah softly. She did hope she was alright. “But…if they didn’t forget why aren’t they looking for her? She’s gone and everyone just goes on. If I vanished…would no one look for me?” said Akilah with a sad face. Would they just move on, and never bother to try to learn where she went? What happened to her in the end?

J'ka just shook his head. He knew there was really no point in arguing with his sisters. There was really never a point to it. He knew there wasn't, all girls thought they knew it all. He shrugged off the idea before flicking his tail around behind him with a smile on his face. He would just ignore her for now. He really didn't enjoy arguing with others. He hated it all together, he really did.
He then stood up shaking his fur out wiggling his toes under him before he started to wander quietly behind his sister. He kept himself quiet for the moment before laughing and nodding. Some times he felt like he really didn't know how to act around those his age. He really wasn't sure, but it was something he was guessing he was slowly starting to get used to. He really enjoyed spending with others her age but some times he really didn't know how to handle himself.
He looked at her before shaking his head. "You can... really only look for some one so long before it hurts too much too." He shrugged at the idea he wasn't even sure if she was goignt o understand what he was talking about. "I mean... After a while it starts to hurt to look all the time."
