Peca had risen early in an atempt to get some time to herself. She had learnt in the short time that she was a mother that if she got up early enough then she would be able to slip from the pride borders, away from the members that she was suppose to care for, and her babes, and just see that the world was still moving on the outside.
As the white hyena moved through the desert she paid little attention to what was around. She just enjoyed the cool air that was still linger from the night in the early dawn of the morning. She sighed lightly and stretched out on a large rock. From her perch she would be able to just sit and watch for a little while.
Subira had lingered away from her cave.. where she usually did her rituals.. only because her spirits had told her to wonder.. nothwest to her cave. Imamu had left Subira in search for adventure.. while she wondered the roguelands.. She heard about a healing pack not too far as she closed her eyes.. hearing the spirit of the wind.. along with the other many spirits that had died along with it. She nodded. She knew that she had to go out and seek.. this 'healing' and learn from them.. while she still could. She walked.. not regal but not with low self esteem. She talked tall.. and confident. She.. unlike ours could speak with spirits. Having the upper paw in almost every situation.
Her tail flicking as she started to near.. not being able to blend in the sun.. but when at night.. She would make a hell of an impression. At nearing the pride.. she stopped and looked on to it. Staring.. Then sat .. then laid down.. she needed to wait until 'they' told her to before she went on.
Peca rose to her feet when she saw the dark figure moving, she wasn't sure what it was at first though it was clearly a canine. As it got closer she came to the realization that it was a wild dog, a full grown female by the looks of it. Peca had gotten very use to interacting with wild dogs living in her pack as they were what made up the majority of the population.
When she saw the wild dog settle she rose to her own feet and made her way toward it. She was very careful to not move to fast, she didn't want to seem threatening. When she made it within a couple feet of the wild dog she sat, "Hello" she greeted in her soft voice.
Subira watched.. and then a hyena from the lands started to move towards her. She stilled... waiting for her to come over. Was this a scout? She eyed the hyena.. she didn't particular like or dislike anything.. she needed to be a clean vessel for her spirits and gods. She watched.. and when she was encountered.. she looked up with those eyes.. blank. "Hello." She announced.. her voice very empty of emotions..
With the greeting from the wilddog Peca moved closer, she seemed friendly and non-threatening. Make it to the other creatures side she settled again, studying the wild dog, she had interesting markngs that was for sure. Peca had never seen another quite like her, certantly no one in the pack looked that way.
"Are you out here alone?" Peca asked looking around. The desert wasn't a threatening place if you knew how to live in it, and take care of yourself, speacially if you had such a dark pelt like this one, Peca had been luckly been blessed with a light coat ot live in this hot climate.
Slowly... she shook her head. 'Yes'.. But with almost no real emotion. "Its different from where I live." Seeminly always been around froest and water. She lowered her head in a bow sorta of. "This is the lands of healing.." She whispered.. in qquestion sort of when she looked to the hyena with a very .... cold expression.. one that can be often mistaken for fear. On how her marking was placed on the face. It was hard to tell her emotions..
Peca sat wondering, it was hard to understand this wild dog, she spoke but her words didn't make a lot of sense. The lightly colored hyena sat and much unlike her current company her emotions showed quite clearly.
"I see" she said uncertainly... was that what the wilddog was looking for? "You must be very brave to be out her all on your own." she was hoping that a compliment would break the awkward tension.
Subira's face turned fully to the hyena.. in an awkward .. look. sort of suprised that ~ one would compliment something so nessessity. Though then she lowered her head.. and gave a sigh. "I am only out here to find a pack.. that I have been told to seek out. I am guessing its the one just a few strides away?" she questioned. "Its about survival not truely bravery."
Peca head lifted happy now the two would have something to talk about. "I have a pack!" Peca said possibly to excitedly, but if anyone could talk up her pack it was her. "Perhaps that what the one you are looking for?" Peca wasn't too sure what the wilddog meant about being told to find a pack, but at the same time it couldn't hurt to show her the way.
"It is not far from here, it is a pack meant for wilddogs and hyenas" she told the wild dog with the excitement still in her voice.
The wilddog tried a smile.. but it failed. The hyena's spirits had changed to a lively aura that was almost like her sister's. It was.. refreshing. In some way. having not seen her sister in so long.. so long. "No.. I heard it was very close to where I am now...I think so."< To her question. She whispered.. almost talking in a very soft tone.
Peca nodded still confused about what the wild dog was saying but she would could still bring her to the pack, perhaps once there the wild dog would make more sense, it was really hard to say though.
"Would you like to come back to the pack with me and see it?" she asked. She hoped the wild dog would say yes, it would look good if while out in the morning she had found another member.
She nodded.. a 'yes' with her head as the she waited for the other to get up before she did. With the whole follow the leader thing. This wilddog was quite a polite one.. but quiet. Her mother being a mute and taking to her not use of words but in body language.. but she hardly had that as well. "I would like to.. see it." Meek. When sating this as she stood and let her bones crack at the hips and joints. It often did that .. and it hurt her in some ways while others had to likely die from ceasing movement in her condition.
Peca just nodded there was no need for words, she rose to her feet and lead the dark colored wild dog to what could be her new home. It came to her attention as she walked that they didn't even know each others names, but for now that wasn't important. She walked in silence the whole way, not even turning to make sure the other creature was there, she could hear her behind her, and that was good enough.
