I stumbled across this topic and found it very interesting.
The Great Gaian Aquarium Strike/Petition
It is a strike that will be held April 9 and will continue for a weak.
It's to get back our old glow times and for gaia to stop nerfing the fish.

This is what they are hoping to accomplish:

Normal glow times are now back.

You don't have to have a high trigger tank to join the strike. In fact it hurts you less if you don't. Park your fish in the freezer and add a link to the strike in your signature.

By linking the strike in your signature you just advertised the strike everywhere you ever posted. I've made several thousand posts so that is a lot of places people might learn about the strike. Times that by many strikers and pretty much everyone should know about the strike.

I am also suggesting to people they do not play booty grab during the strike. I know some folks will anyway but I do not personally want to reward the folks who won't support the strike.

I also suspended contests in my booty grab thread for the duration of the strike. My tank earnings pay for the majority of the prizes they receive. I want 'Joe User' to realize 40 to 50% less gold in my tanks means a lot less disposable income for me to buy prizes with.

I wonder which I should hope for:
Gaia relenting and putting booty grab back to 'normal'

Or Gaia ignoring us and releasing the next big expensive fish and hardly anyone buys it.

Maybe if I was dying of cancer the Make-A-Wish foundation could arrange for admin in charge of aquariums to actually send out an honest announcement ahead of time about the changes they plan to make.

My guess is that there are more people that joined the strike than posted here.
Well I'm glad nobody is fighting about their opinions.

Interesting, indeed... eek It certainly wouldn't hurt to give the fishies a vacation. Thanks for the heads up!

I think that BG probably does have a lot to do with inflation--however, I think the RIGs are just as much to blame. However, I do think that changing the glowtimes of the fish without any warning is underhanded; and even though it may not accomplish anything, at least it lets the admins know that we notice. neutral
