It was a cool afternoon as the sun was beginning to leave the sky and head for the horizon and the peachy doe was staring into the pond of water below her. Harsh and focused eyes of a doe who knew exactly what she wanted seemed to glare up at her from the reflection below. There wasn't anything wrong with her wants, her desires, even if it was everything. Soon she would conquer the swamp and seek to expand but for now this puddle was a great place to enjoy the afternoon and herself. Her soft curls held firm, even when she lifted her head to get a better angle of her features. Her horns were much sleeker than any other.

She was fantastic. She knew it.

She desired a companion for the night and she knew that this was clean and fresh water often favoured by the kimeti around here. If she were to seduce anyone, here would be a prime position.

Alluring she sat like an empty bird's nest to a snake.

The butterfly floated on the air, weightless practically. It's wings fluttered softly as if the air itself was what they were brushing in a hope to smooth it out. This silent beauty was guiding someone. True to her name, Hint was leading Sandstorm to what he was searching for: a nice cool drink of water.

The buck had his head held high, watching the dainty little thing in the air. He towered over the bushes and had to duck his head to avoid branches of the trees, but the whole time kept his eyes on the moth that was his guide. He wondered to himself how such a being had attached itself to him, a random kimeti of MotherFather, but got distracted by a sudden flurry of movement.

His eyes focused on the moth, who's wings had been sent into a frenzy. Out of the blue, she was freaking out and flailed on the spot for a moment and the next she had disappeared high up into the clouds. Taking a step or two out into the clearing, Sandstorm's gaze slowly dropped from the sky up above to the clearing that he found himself in. Now what in the world could have- His thoughts were cut short when his eyes found the sight of beauty at the edge of the water. He had been never been here before, and should have marked this place in his mind as a safe one, but instead his mind ground to a standstill and his jaw merely dropped.

Desire could hear the rustle of a buck approaching. However, the unexpected frenzy of a moth's wings was not predicted. She gave it a moment and then she decided to look, slowly she found herself turning her head a couple degrees and looking at the moth's flight. She watched it fly off into the canopy before turning her head a bit more to set her sights on a rather large and pale buck. With what appeared to be a small smile, she approved.

With the sun setting further each minute, she didn't waste time.

"Good evening traveler," she said, giving his stunned brain enough time to absorb it before she continued. She motioned to the grassy mound beside her with her head before gazing back upon the buck. "Would you be so kind as to join me over here. You must be absolutely parched." It seemed more like a soft command than a question.

All thoughts of the omen that was his moth were banished to the back of his mind. He had forgotten why he had traveled this way, that is, until the siren spoke out. "Good", was the first word to leave her sweet looking lips. Yes... definitely good... He almost had to shake his head physically to snap back into listening, but managed to nudge himself mentally instead, trying to keep his outward appearance as normal and... smooth... as possible. Speaking of which, he also managed to close his mouth and curl his lips into something reminiscent of a smile... though admittedly came out as a grin.

The tall buck managed to lift one foot as he watched the doe's careful, fluid movements, but it stayed there, floating mid-air for a few seconds as his eyes tried to feed his brain all of this new, mesmerizing information.

There was a doe. No, no. Not just a doe. A very beautiful, charming doe with lustrous curls and intriguingly sleek horns, and neatly tamed fur, and a gorgeous coat... Ahhh... -- His eyes had surely been staring, but he managed to straighten the situation out by the time the doe began speaking once more. Luckily, she had given him the time to recuperate there. That is, luckily he had managed to save his hide in time. No. He was going to be more than this. More what? Uhhh... well, he could figure that out in a minute. Right then, the picture of beauty was beckoning him to sit next to her, and that is exactly what he did, starting with planting that foot he had earlier raised. Followed by another step, and another, until the sandy buck found himself standing next to the doe.

He lowered his head from it's lofty position, and warmly offered in his low voice, "I would love to be your company on such a... dry... evening."

She had been following his movements carefully as he fidgeted and stared. She had been careful in this, but he wouldn't have noticed either way. He could barely think it seemed as his reaction time to everything was unbearably slow she imagined. She was quite pleased when he finally made it to her side though and swayed her tail slowly to show it. The tip of the tail softly ran over the surface of the pond, adding slight ripples into the it.

She waited, assuming the buck would wish to quench his thirst.

She was positioned sweetly, manipulatively hiding the ulterior motive away. He was a buck though, and she had yet to meet a buck who was upset at that motive. She'd even met an apparently life mated buck who didn't mind. It didn't go over with the other doe, of course. However, it was not her problem.

"Have a drink," she suggested. She too took her advice, softly leaning forward to press against the surface of the pond. She took her drink, slowly as she gazed from her reflection on the surface of the pond, to her curls that just nearly hit the water and then to the buck as she raised her neck once more. Upon raising her head back, she softly threw a question at the buck. "You must be wary, did you have long to travel?"

She finally positioned herself comfortably again and faced the buck.

Finally having gathered his composure, (Well, ok, just most of it. Like... 85% of it... 86%. That earns him an A.), Sandstorm settled down and followed suit, dipping his muzzle to drink from the cool pond at their feet. The water made it's way soothingly down his throat and he quickly quenched his thirst, not wanting to take any more time away from the doe than he had to. Picking his head up once more, the buck turned to face the doe and was once more captured in her looks. She was even prettier up close! As he studied her, gently scanning her features over, starting with her soft... honey-smelling hair... he tilted his head a moment. Hadn't his moth gotten flustered? It was only a half-second thought though, and he simply shook his head and brushed the thought away. She must have gotten tired and went to find somewhere to sleep. Speaking of which.... He turned his full attention to the doe just as she opened up her mouth and spoke again. This time, though caught by her sweet voice, he controlled himself and responded as smoothly as he could manage.

"I have traveled far, Fair Maiden of the Pond, but a face as pretty as yours makes me forget those worries and stress." His lips formed a happy smile, that was perhaps more than a little induced by the temptress before him, and his own tail began to swish back and forth contentedly, mimicking hers. Perhaps he was relaxing in her company too quickly, but he couldn't help that!

The doe smiled softly, turning her head in a shy manner. Her light eyes gazing down at the pond below. The pond knew better. The pond knew of her ways. She "nervously" swished her tail into the water again, causing ripples to travel over the surface.

"You flatter me so," she whispered, gently tilting her neck to give him a glance. "However so, I am pleasant to hear your worries and stress are passing like the ripples on the pond."

She slowly went back to her usual state, relaxed after his flattering. The buck seemed pleased to be in her company, with a smile on his face. Quickly as he was, there was no problem with that. He should be comfortable with her as soon as possible so that they can leave the open way of the pond and find themselves in a private, more suitable location for the evening.

And the evening it was, the sun had company fallen off the skyline and the signature sounds of the night were starting to settle in. Her tail found itself swaying in another direction and right across the buck's own. "You must be tired, and it is getting late so quickly," she paused as she felt her tail go over his once again. She made a soft noise before adjusting her voice again. "I must insist you stay here this evening. It would be absolutely dreadful if you caught yourself in a crocodile's trap."

His gaze followed hers, right down to the reflective surface of the pond. In this reflection, first he found his own tan figure, bulky and relaxed, just sitting there on a grass mound. Second, he saw the doe's reflection, almost as perfect as her real image. Lastly, he saw that the sky had darkened and began to spot with night-bugs that glowed softly, warmly in an ongoing dance. And then ripples disturbed the image, and the doe referred to them so innocently... It had been her tail, nervously swishing into the water and then over his own tail. He flinched at first contact, unsure about it, but when he thought about it, it had only been because he was unsure about whether he deserved her touch. Too soon, though, his instinct took over his thoughts and his eyes traveled back up to her real face.

Once there, his expression softened, his heart beginning to melt and his smile turning lazy. When she spoke of the late hour, he tensed the slightest bit, but when she mentioned 'crocodile', he straightened up a bit and fixed his jaw into a more solid line. Bravely, he offered, "I wouldn't think of leaving a maiden by herself on a dark night like this. Not when there's crocodiles about, especially. They're crafty, they are, and I wouldn't let one come within running strides of you." He began to stand up at this point, and even nuzzled the female, just once, softly, across the cheek, before he caught himself. Quickly straightening up, the buck hastily added, "You don't need to worry, milady. You will be safe with me tonight." With that, he did not quite know how to proceed, thoughts of protecting this doe filling his head, while much more sinister and animalistic thoughts began pushing their way in. His tail swished back and forth, and his eyes had hardened at the mention of danger.

The doe grinned softly and nuzzled the buck back as he stood. It was very dark indeed and it was surely best that she keep the company of a strong buck like himself by her to protect her from things that went bump in the night, or bite in the night in the case of the crocodile.

"I will surely be safe with you by my side," she said as she slowly began to stand up onto her hooves. Her long legs gently kicking the ground as she was getting the foreign materials off her legs and coat. She followed him carefully with her eyes, her own tail swaying as she walked. She walked circles around him particularly.

"We should find a safe place for the night," she said, slowly walking around him, brushing her tail against him and rubbing against his sides casually as she walked circles. She didn't want to walk too far now or she might get hurt without her strong buck by her side. She began to walk a little ahead and away from him before she stopped and turned her head slightly tilted towards him over her shoulders. "Although, maybe I'd prefer something a little more dangerous."

With that she motioned him towards a direction and then she slowly turned her feet and walked towards a large rooted and hollowed out tree a little ways from the pond. All around were rocks, bushes and a canopy with low hanging vines accessorizing it that gave it protection from not only the weather but any lurking creatures.

It was there she waited for her companion. Her curls shining lightly from the small amount of light glistening down from the rising moon above.

When the doe nuzzled him, he tensed for the first half-second, and then relaxed, heart warming, along with most of the rest of him. As she began to walk circles around him and graze him here with her tail, scrape her side against his then, his temperature began to rise, and his thoughts became more and more blurry, thinking getting more and more difficult. He nodded along with her ideas, her suggestions, as this fever came over him. She could have said anything just then, and he would have said yes without a doubt.

When she wandered away from him, he started forward, eagerly following her, wanting to be close to her. At her suggestion of 'danger', his ears perked up and more urgency found it's way into his step, even though he knew, she did not mean the regular predatory danger. He strode into the safe haven, tall and handsome, eyes only for the lustrous beauty that had led him there. This nameless creature had stolen his heart, if only for a night, and he was helpless to say no. That is, he would not have been able to deny such beauty, such prowess, anything she wanted. She had snared him in her trap, and he hadn't even managed a thought of escape, so deliberate and intricate her trap had been laid. It would only be the next morn, that he would begin to second-guess his actions, but then... just then, all that clouded his mind was the heat and friction between two kimeti, and all that he heard was the playful growl that escaped his own lips.
