Deimos was out on another walk, notebook in hand as he took down his version of notes. He always recorded the number of footsteps, the scenery around him, important land marks, and various things like that along with the names of the streets he walked down. He got lost from time to time so he wanted to make sure that he was able to find his way home from each of his walks from then on. As such he took detailed notes so he would find his way home. At the moment he'd taken a turn down a new street, it was long and winding, didn't have a lot of courses on it, and to him it was somewhere between calming due to the quiet and scary due to how alone he felt on this road. He was counting himself as lucky that Gigantes had come along with him.

Along side of him, walking along, tail lashing, was Gigantes, a monster of a cat who was puffy and fluffy, giant and a bit on the ugly side, scarred up and missing an eye. He was a stray that had followed Deimos home and didn't give up until the boy took him in and since that had happened he'd been playing the role of body guard. It was because the cat was with him that he had even dared to venture forth along this new path since on his own he'd never have come here... then again on his own it was unlikely that he would have left his yard again after the first time he'd gotten lost.

"This isn't to bad a place." He said to Gigan and to himself, though it might have sounded as though he were trying to convince himself of the fact that it wasn't so bad. The cat gave a meow of agreement, helping to calm Deimos. Last thing they needed was the boy fainting again.

Xai wanted these girls to spend more time together, and for once Evari didn't put up a fight or anything. She was slowly growing accustomed to having a little sister. It was slow and kind of annoying, but she was getting there. Evari still wasn't comfortable with the idea of sharing her Xai. They'd decided to do something Tyyne wanted to do for once which was explore a very pretty street that they had passed once before. She'd seen all kinds of pretty flowers in the distance along the side of the road! The pair walked hand-in-hand along the street, Evari looking a little embarrassed by the fact that she had to hold hands with the deer girl beside her, but Tyyne didn't seem to notice anything except the pretty houses and flowers and plants. "...Who's that? Ooh! A kitty!" Tyyne smiled and pointed at the person walking along with a cat. A black cat...weren't those supposed to be bad luck? Oh dear! Evari blinked, tilting her head a little. Pink hair...that looked familiar for some reason. Whyyy was it familiar?

"Huh...wanna ask if she wants to hang out with us?" Evari asked with a curious glance at her sister who nodded, still smiling. Yes! Another person to meet would be fun! Acknowledging Tyyne's nod with her own, Evari put a hand by her mouth to project her voice better. "HEY GIRLY!" She called with no malicious intent whatsoever. Pink hair, girly shirt. A cat. Had to be a girl. The hair was even long. Kay had longish hair too but...he was obviously a boy. He didn't even wear shirts! Once she had the pink-haired girl's attention she grinned and waved an arm in the air. Over here! Over here! Tyyne giggled and copied her older sister.

It took Deimos some time to realize that the 'Girly' that was being yelled at was him. He turned slowly toward the voice, starring at the pair of rather strange looking girls that were waving their arms wildly in the air. He froze in place and set to looking from side to side as though he were expecting that he was under attack or something... he saw no scary people though, no wild animals, no falling trees or rocks, nothing that should warrant them acting in such a manner. He turned back to look at them again and this time around he seemed to notice that they were... smiling? He blinked a couple times before he took a hesitant step forward toward them, then another and another. He kept it slow as he approached them, after all he was out numbered and out gunned... one of the two had horns and hooves, both of which looked as though they could likely killing easily... he gave another shiver and stopped at what he hoped was a safe distance.

"H... H-Hello." He said, having a bit of a time getting his voice to work at first. He could do this... he could do this... he said it over and over in his head like a mantra and hoped against hope that he wouldn't get spooked or faint. Last thing he needed was for that to happy in front of two girls.

Gigan trotted up to sit down next to Deimos, giving a purring sound as he looked up at the girl, pleased to find interesting company at long last. Thus far the only ones they visited with were boys which wasn't nearly as good as visiting with girls if you asked the cat... though if you asked a cat questions you were likely as crazy as Dei seemed most days when he carried on a conversation with the feline.

Yay! They got her attention! But why did she look so hesitant and confused? Weird. Was she antisocial? When she did come over though they giggled and started walking forward to meet her halfway; Tyyne's focus was on the cat though. It was so c...ute...oh my. Was it okay? It looked hurt! And its eye was missing! She gasped softly and pressed the tips of her fingers to her lips, staring at the cat with worry. Evari didn't notice the cat though, she was more interested in this girl and why she looked so familiar. Pink hair, black skin...hm...

Oh!

Evari's eyes widened and, instead of giving some kind of greeting, she pointed at Deimos with her free hand and her arm fully extended. "You were at the shop when the adults had to give stuff to people!" She grinned, happy to know that she'd seen this girl before. Wow! That was cool! Tyyne blinked and tore her gaze from the cat to her sister and then the girl with pink hair. They knew each other? Oh dear. Was this girl anything like Evari?! No! She didn't want to meet this girl after all! "Whatcha doin' all by yerself, girly?"

"She has a kitty, Evari..." Tyyne reminded her quietly as an attempt to defend this girl. She wasn't by herself! She had a kitty! "Um...I'm Tyyne..." She introduced just herself since, well, Evari apparently knew this girl. She smiled anyway, playing with a lock of her hair. "It's very nice to meet you...uh...?"

Deimos tilted his head to the side and seemed to be trying his best to remember these two from that time but all he could remember about that day was how scared he'd been, how his parents had left him all alone, and how the girl Faris had ended up stealing his ability to hide for a while. He gave a slight tremble at just the thought of being without that power, it was one of the most important and useful things that he could do, it was something that protected him from overwhelmingly scary things!

He tilted his head to one side as again she called him girly and he could feel himself flushing a little bit, "D-Deimos... my name is Deimos." He told Evari, "And I am not a girly."

Gigantes starred up at the deer girl before he tilted his head to the side then trotted closer to her, tail lashing as he moved nearer to her. He set to purring in a happy manner as he sat down at her hooved feet, grinning up at her. She was an interesting looking creature, wasn't she?

"It's very nice to meet you, Deimos." Tyyne smiled, but the smile faltered when Deimos said she was a...he? Wh-what? But he...well...alright. If he said he wasn't a girl then he would know best, right? Evari didn't seem convinced. She furrowed her brow and looked Deimos up and down, tilting her head a little. Not a girl? No way!

"Okay...so you're not as girly as Tyyne. That's fine." That had to be what she meant. There was no way Deimos meant she was a boy. Pink hair, girly clothes, she even had a cat. Boys don't keep cats! No matter how...ugly. Said cat was currently frightening her sister just by getting close to her and sitting on her feet. Tyyne gasped and stared down at the cat with wide eyes, lifting her hands like she was trying not to touch something disgusting. Eh heh...nice kitty...goooood kitty...p-please get off, kitty.

"Its nice to meet the two of you as well." Deimos said to Tyyne, giving the interesting deer girl a smile. He was glad to seem that she was calm and kind, he'd been so worried given the fact that she had horns and sharp looking hooves. That she didn't seem ready to use them had him in a rather good mood, or at least as good a mood as someone constantly on edge could be.

He turned to look over at Evari before he gave a nod of his head, "Yes." He agreed, he wasn't as girly as Tyyne and he hoped that meant that she understood that he wasn't a girl. Seeing he believed as much he then turned his attention instead to Gigan who seemed to be scarring Tyyne. He tilted his head to the side, seeing that the deer girl seemed scared. Deimos knew what fear was, was getting scared by most everything all the time... it had him kneeling down, gathering Gigan into his arms to pull him away from the girl, "Be nice, Gigan. I am sorry about him, he seems to like you." He explained.

Dei's agreement to her level of girlishness seemed to make Evari a tad bit smug, having just contradicted his own claim on her masculinity. See? She wasn't as girly as Tyyne, and she just agreed! Hell, Faris was a girl and she wasn't girly at all. She acted like a boy, but if she didn't know for sure Faris was a girl she probably would think she was a boy. Oh well! Her best friend could be a stick and Evari'd still adore her. Tyyne was more concerned about the cat on her feet, biting down on her bottom lip and trying very hard not to move. Shoo kitty, go sit somewhere else that isn't her feet! Pleeeeease!

She sighed with relief when Deimos picked up the cat and held him away from her, putting a hand on her chest and blushing from embarrassment. "U-um, it's...alright..." She lied with a giggle, playing with a bit of her hair. "So what are you doing here, Deimos? Just out for a walk?"

This was boring! Evari frowned and lazily turned her head away, putting her hands on her hips and looking around where they were. She wanted to do something! Something fun! Something awesome! Oooh...that house looked cool! She wandered away from the two girls to walk past Deimos and toward a very old looking house on the other side of a large wall and an iron gate rusted shut. She held the iron bars and stared at it with wide eyes, looking from the house to all over the land around it. The trees were dead and rotting, the grass was brown...anything that had once lived was dead. And the house itself was like a small mansion, old and dark. It must have been empty for years! She wanted to check it out.

"Evari...?" What was she doing? Evari paid them no mind, already trying to figure out a way to squeeze through the bars of the gate.

Deimos nodded his head, "We are out for a walk, Gigan and I are working on seeing what is in this area of the our map." He explained, it was just a big, blank, open spot with no information so the two of them were working on filling out what was here... though thus far there wasn't much. A couple houses and a lot of open space, nothing to terribly interesting. His attention turned to the other girl who was wandering off away from Tyyne and himself, wondering where she was off to.

"Where... is she going?" He whispered to the deer girl, surely Evari didn't want to go into that yard or anywhere near that house? It was scary just from a distance let alone up close... he didn't think he'd be able to deal with something like that himself. He shifted in place, his grasp on his cat tightening a little bit, and he looked at Tyyne to see what she thought.

Gigan, ever patient that he was, did little more then hang in Deimos's arms, watching the boy with his with one good eye. He didn't know what was up but whatever it was it was scary according to Deimos's terms... then again most everything was scary if you asked the pink haired boy from what the cat had seen.

"Oh, you have a map? Evari has just been leading us around." Perhaps they should have looked for one before going out like Deimos had. A map would be very helpful! When he whispered to her Tyyne frowned a little and shrugged, watching her sister try to climb up the gate now since she apparently couldn't fit through the bars. That didn't look safe at all! What was she doing?!"I...think she wants to go into that place..." Oh, no. Please no!

Evari huffed and jumped down from the bars, unable to get over them...by herself. She turned a sly glance toward her sister and the other girl, sending shivers down Tyyne's spine as she cowered behind Deimos. W-why was she looking at them like that? The glowing girl grinned and walked over to the pair, putting one hand on her hip and the other outstretched toward the spooky house, pointing at it. "Tyyney! We're goin' in there."

"What? But I--"

"An' yer comin' too, Dei." Evari told 'her' with a grin. This glowing child wasn't taking no for an answer.

He gave a nod as he got out the map that he carried with him, "My friend Anon got it for me, I think it was so that I didn't get lost again." He explained to Tyyne, giving her a smile. He was rather proud of his map and how much work he'd done on it so far. It was covered in little marks that corresponded to information that was inside his notebook. Together the two things were quite helpful for deciding on where he wanted to spend the day.

Deimos glanced toward the house and his eyes got wide, "W-What? Sh-She wants to go in that place?" He whispered, sounding a bit shocked, not sure why anyone would want to go into a place such as this... it looked dead all over... the plants and everything, it made him worry about what else might be in there. His whole body gave a jump when he heard that he was going to... wait, what? He... was what?

"I... don't know... it doesn't look as though its very safe in there." He told Evari, tucking his map back into his bag. He didn't want to go in and get taken by ghosts!

Well that was very nice of Deimos' friend! If he was nice enough to give a map to keep him from getting lost then he must have been a very good friend, Tyyne wouldn't mind meeting him! Tyyne nodded to Dei's worried whisper, sighing. Yes, Evari definitely wanted to get in there. Evari didn't do things unless she wanted to do them, and since she was climbing all over that gate that meant she wanted to get around it.

Evari rolled her eyes at Dei's protests, still pointing at the house. "What're ya? Chicken? S'just a house." They just had to find a way inside. This place was surrounded by a large stone wall...perhaps there was an opening somewhere along it. Tyyne's ears drooped low beside her head and she looked frantically between Deimos and Evari, back and forth until she was forced to decide. She couldn't just...leave Evari...she had to stay with her! Xai had said!

"Fine, I'll go...how are we going to get inside?" Tyyne sighed, looking defeated. Evari grinned and shrugged.

"That's what we're gonna find out!"

...Great.

Just a house? It wasn't just a house it could be full of ghost! What if there were monsters in the basement? The floors could be weak and they could all fall through... not to mention rusty metal everywhere meant the risk of tetanus... splinters from broken wood... if they could get in then that meant that stray animals could get in as well. His mind started to helpfully list off all the things in there that could be scary, "I-It just doesn't seem all that safe." He whispered again, but already it seemed that the deer girl had agreed to go. If he didn't go while two girls were going in, one who was as scared of the idea as he was, he was never going to live it down.

"I... I could always... look for a way in on the other side." He murmured, voice a little bit shaky. He didn't want to but that didn't mean that he couldn't do it.
PostPosted: Sun May 16, 2010 2:01 pm

Evari's face lit up with excitement at Deimos' suggestion, clapping her hands together. "That's a great idea! C'mon, let's go!" Maybe there was a hole in the wall somewhere or something. As for it being safe? Psh! You couldn't go through life without taking a couple risks here and there! That would just be boring, and how would you know what you could and couldn't do if you didn't try? You couldn't, that's how! Evari turned around to skip along the road so they could get to the corner of this property and start walking along the large stone wall that apparently surrounded the entire building. Tyyne sighed and started to follow her but stopped to wait patiently for Deimos.

"I'm sorry about this. She's...well...she's always like this." She said softly, rubbing at the back of her neck and following her sister. Tyyne should've known this walk wouldn't just be a normal venture with no detours or insane ideas.

Deimos gave a soft sighing sound as he gazed up at the wall then turned to look over at Gigan who was sitting there watching and waiting as though hoping that his boy was going to actually do this. If he joined these girls for this adventure it would be a big step forward for them.

"Ahh... ok." He set his bag down next to Gigan, "Watch this for me, Gigan." He said, he would need him to watch his pants as well for a moment since as he shifted himself to his other form where he had a wispy tail in place of legs he would no longer need that article of clothing. He took a deep breath before he floated up to the top of the wall, looking down the other side and the gave a soft whimper as he lowered himself down to that side. Oh man he hated this, he wasn't meant to be brave and in no way wanted to be going alone... this wasn't what he had in mind when he decided to come out to this area today. He thought it would just be a tour not a scary ghost hunt.

He was trembling like a leaf in a strong wind as he looked around to see what he could see from this side before he started float for, running his hands along the wall before he spotted something, it looked like an old mechanism that was in charge of the gate, "There is something here that might have opened the gate at some time... should I see if it still works?" He sounded a bit uncertain about whether or not he wanted to poke at the thing since it looked a bit rusty and threatening.
