 Forgive the sig image. Still waiting on cert.
He turned away from it, moving into the forest and the shadows the boughs of the trees brought to him. Shadows were comforting, were safe. He grazed as he went, not in the mood to hunt meat down, the moon having stirred the ghosts of memories within his mind. Slowly, Illidan wandered aimlessly through the forest.

Her hooves stepped lightly through the tangled mess of roots and bushes as she walked. She'd have to be a bit more careful in the dark lest she break her leg or even worse yet get her tail snagged in a bush again. The roses that sat upon her head formed their graceful circlet and fulled her mane with the fresh sent of roses in bloom. her tail drug behind her still. Finally she found a small reprieve from the bushes though she still had to watch for the roots. Her white mane seemed to reflect the moonlight as she passed through small patches of shadows giving way to the moon's glow.
Still as dangerous as the night was, she couldn't help but to press forward still. after all, what was an adventure without a little danger mixed in? Smiling to herself, she stopped and looked up at the stars through a small clear patch in the forest canopy.

Illidan paused at the edge of the clearing he came upon, seeing a mare standing at the other side gazing at the stars overhead. He furrowed his brow in thought, considering if he should approach or not, and finally stepped forward, though only enough to just have his silhouette made out.
"These forests are proving to be better trafficked at night than during the day," Illidan remarked, his voice carrying gently across the clearing.

"Her ears gave a small flick before turning towards the voice the heard. Soon her face followed, a soft gently smile on her face. " Hmm? Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know anyone else was out here tonight.. most are usually asleep.. say for a few." She gave a small chuckle that seemed to chase into her sky blue eyes giving them the normal happy glint they held when she laughed.
"You know... I'm not going to bite or anything, you can come out so I know who it is I'm conversing with." She gave another warm friendly smile. She'd been told to be cautious by a few others she'd met on the adventures, though she normally threw caution to the wind. still... it was better for her to see just who or what she was talking to just in case she needed to change her tactics just a little bit. Not that a kalona ever really scared her any. she left them alone and for the most part they seemed to not regard her as a meal.

"I prefer the night. Always have," Illidan said, stepping cautiously forward, hoofprints flaring up in brief green flames to mark his path before they vanished. He was wary of any Soq approaching him in these strange lands.
"Most run from me," he said, coming to stop just within the clearing where the moonlight shone down on him. "You're not afraid?"

She shook her head sending the roses in it to rustling. "Nope, why should I be?" She blinked a few times. She smiled as she looked at him. "There that wasn't so hard now was it?" She couldn't help but to giggle some. "My name's Shoshana by the way. But most call me Sho or Shana for short." She smiled and nodded a greeting taking a few steps forward herself having decided he wasn't the worst of the things to go bump in the night. At least she hadn't run into a skinwalker.

"I'm called Illidan," the stallion answered by way of introduction. The mare was certainly more chipper than most he'd met and he almost found that refreshing. "Do you often travel the woods at night?" He looked down at her trailing tail, wondering how she maneuvered quickly in danger. Perhaps it was best she'd only run into him and not something more dangerous.

She couldn't help but laugh. "Day, night.. whenever really.. My two-legger camped out a ways off.. she'd rather odd but nice enough even though she prefers her seclusion..." She looked down at her trailing tail, some how feeling his gaze shift to it. "Don't mind the tail..." She smiled. "It's not as much of a nuisance as some think... though it sometimes has it's disadvantages.... like when I have clumsy moments." She gave an almost shy blush before it was chased away. Rarely she blushed but usually when she did it was due to admitting to something on the embarrassing side of life. "So, what brings you out here? New?"

"New, yes. I live here, in this forest," Illidan answered, lifting his head to meet her eyes with his blindfold. He frowned at the mention of a two-legger near by. "You live with a two-legger?" His lips skinned back from sharp teeth unconsciously as he snarled. "Treacherous creatures. You'd do better off without them and their ways."

She couldn't help but giggle "Silly not all two-leggers are horrible.. she's actually quite sweet and harmless... I think she was kicked a few times in the head by a horse... " Still she shook her head and sighed. "And I don't actually LIVE with her.. I visit her.. come and go as I please.. I found her when I found this place... Rather glad I found these new lands though.. So many new adventures to have and new companions to make and meet. "

"I used to visit the two-leggers once," Illidan said, still frowning. He drew himself up to full height and spread his wings. "This is what I got for my trouble." He moved closer to her, practically thrusting his face into hers so she could see the blindfold in the moonlight. "And this. Two-leggers are not to be trusted, Shoshana. Be wary of your. . . 'friend.' She may just be using you."
He moved away from her, brief anger already subsiding. "I do like this new land, though. It is almost like my homeland." Illidan looked back at the mare. "You've met many others?"

"Several!" She smiled most happily even though he had been a bit .... moody with her. She simply shrugged it of. After all who was she to judge him by having an anxt moment. "I've met a rather... odd kalona mare who thought she was a big creeper.. not so much I'm afraid.. she was rather nice.. And some little ones.. I mean down right short ones they were.. some with wings of all sorts... and a few who thought they were deities greatest gift to mares..." She snorted at this. It rather made her laugh at how some stallions performed around mares.. really she thought they seemed to be more.. goofy than potential breeding stalk.

"I've met a few interesting sorts as well," Illidan said, thinking of the mare who wanted to study him for research and the headstrong colt. "I haven't met many, though. either they shy from me, or I keep my distance. Kalona are not that well liked and I know my place is here, away from them." He decided not to define who "they" might be.

"Oh rubbish... Just because you're a kalona doesn't mean you aren't an ok guy? I mean look at this.. there are normal soquili out there that are just evil beyond no tomorrow.. don't go profiling yourself just because of your breed.. I say there's atleast some good in everything even if it does want to eat me... some just have an easier time of showing it. "She nodded. "So seriously I don't buy why we can't all just get along.. not everyone is always out to get some one else.. at least that's my philosophy." She continued to smile showing that she wasn't trying to be nasty with him.

Illidan looked up at her words, surprise actually showing on his face despite the blindfold. "I wish my herd had thought as you do. Maybe they wouldn't have driven me from home." He shook his head. "No matter. What's done is done." He looked back at her again."You truly believe there's good in everything?" That ideal of hers reminded him of someone from long ago, someone he'd cared for once. "I don't know many who hold that belief much."
