Not long after MB and GW brought out Heroquest for young players, GW brought out Advanced Heroquest in 1989. It used Fantasy Battle / 40K stats and could be thought of as a simplified version of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. It was supported by GW until Warhammer Quest came out and replaced it. But now, after 16 years, i play it reguarly, introducing new rules and bringing it up to date with current goings on in the Warhammer World.

Any other older gamers play it?

i have the orginal hero quewst that i got from my 10 year older brother and have played a couple of times with my brother i thought it was pretty good though since its 10 years old its a bit damaged and i dont know if all the parts are there, i know that the expansion pieces he bought are missing.

i would love to see how you updated it

I thought the minitures for Heroquest looked like Warhammer minitures... I didn't know that GW put that out...
