I was just curious...I know that some of you find it annoying, so I was wondering how it started. ::Is a newbie:: And who here actually works at page ownage/pwnage/domination? (TMO, you don't have to answer that.)
Oh, and do you think ownage is okay if the owner only posts relevant things in the threads?

As to your second question, about only posting relevant things ... not necessarily. Sometimes these threads wander all over the place, with little snippets of ideas, personal exhanges, song lyrics, stuff in foreign languages I can't even read, and personally, I think it's interesting to see where they go. But lately, it just seems as though it's turned into a whole lot of posting about nothing, so while that's spam, it's not literate. I find it boring. So, if it were up to me, which it isn't, I'd just like to see a thread be about something ... anything, even if it's 50 different things!

Well, this one is about ownage. Does that count as a thread being about something? I try and stay on whatever topic is being discussed when I post (even if I'm just going for page domination) and I try to say something useful that counts as real conversation.

I just like to see literate posts. I don't care what they're about, as long as it's all literate. Afterall, for illiteracy we could all go back to the Chatterbox. And that would be a scary thing to do...

ownage, or to "own"-signifies dominance, defeat and humiliation of another party. If you beat someone repeatedly, it can be said you have owned them. It is an "internet slang word used commonly in gaming circlesto assert apparent superiority over others" *wikipedia* other forms razz wned, own3d, pwn [these are "leet" spellings, also common in online jargin]

Let's hope it doesn't come to that then, yes?
::Will stop the ownage thing::
